Get it!!!
I was doubting myself if I should get this sub. Don't do that. If you are limited in space and $ this thing will pound in a 2 cubic foot ported enclosure tuned to 32hz. Can you get better, sure. But for 200 bucks you'll be surprised .You'll get tired of adjusting your mirror.

Amazing subwoofer!!
Paired with the matching hifonics amp the sound is so clear and responsive, it is biased a tad more towards low low frequencies so you need some quality speakers along side it, but in a full system it's the perfect addition. I have infinity kappa perfect components in front and rear powered by a Kenwood 4 channel amp with the sound coming from a pioneer premier head unit. Everything sounds balanced and clean once I tuned both amps and set all the crossovers etc. When I had it in a ported box it was louder, but due to space restrictions I swapped to a sealed box, it's not as loud, but it's sharper and much more responsive to more frequencies. If you want it to bang or create a movie theater this is great subwoofer.

Power
This sub provides a unique balance between sql and spl. I had an old school mofo 12 that plain hammered, so much so that it over played my mids. This new olm works more refined. Don't get it twisted though, this thing will hammer and hard. It moves so much air when turned up it literlly blows my doors to vibrating on the lock. I am actually afraid my back window is going to break, from the outside u can here rubber separating from the glass and the frame. I have only had it for a few days and have not completly broken it in yet, but so far I really love it!

Hard to beat
This beast will soak up every watt you can throw at it. Don't bother putting it in a ported enclosure unless you are willing to sacrifice SQ for a slight SPL gain. It won't gain enough over a sealed enclosure to justify the larger enclosure/loss of durability,( PROVIDED YOU ARE THROWING THE RECOMMENDED RMS WATTAGE TO IT). If you only have a small amp, you gotta do what you gotta do I guess......... The t/s specs on it suggest a sealed enclosure, and after trying it out in a few different sealed and ported enclosures, I have to agree with the T/S. 1.4 sealed and this thing really pounds with 1500 watts going into it. Good frequency response from 150 down to about 40. ..... I can't think of any other woofer remotely in this price range that will outperform this one.

Big Bang for little bucks
This sub performs superbly in any type of enclosure, started out with it in a sealed box but now have it in a ported box with a solid 1800 watts pushing it, even though I only have one, it hits harder than two 15s , I highly recommend this sub!!!!

Hifonics Olympus DVC 2ohm
I like this sub. I power it with a Hifonics Brutus 1600 and I was under the impression that these two were going to be the perfect match by the fact that they are the same brand and same power rating. However, this is not the case, I have the bassboost turned off on the amp and only have it at 75% power and I can still smell the voicecoil getting too hot on most songs.
I feel like with them being made for each other I should basically be able to push as much as I want to the sub from this amp and not have it be a problem. I don't know if the amp is overpowered or the sub is overrated. Either way this sub will not be cutting it for long term. I am going to have to ditch it and run with an HCCA Orion that can take whatever I throw at it.
As for recommending this sub I would, but I wouldn't partner it with this beastly of an amp. Maybe only shoot 1200 watts at it.
