The following review is for a previous version (ZRX600.4).

I bought this to run the new kicker LED speakers, 4 of them in our boat. it's not a marine amp but I installed it off the floor on some bushings and under our helm. I was amazed that an amp that cheap could sound that good. I was very skeptical! Plenty of power and it just so happened to light up with matching blue LED in my boat! Never felt warm to the touch during use.

Pro's: excellent price, provides plenty of power to run 4- 6.5" speakers.
Looks awesome lit up. I even got a price match!

Con's: little bigger than I thought

Amazing sound!

The following review is for a previous version (ZRX600.4).

I have this amp running two infinity kappa 2ohm 6.5s in the front and 2 5.25 Rockford 4ohm speakers in the back, and they get loud! I am very pleased with this set up!

Great power supply!

The following review is for a previous version (ZRX600.4).

People trash talk hifonics saying they're not as they used to be but i beg to differ.Every company except one or two make their products overseas and this is to make the product more affordable for us, unfortunately quality can suffer, but thankfully this amp doesn't fall into this category.
I have three amps currently in my car, one sub, 12 other speakers including tweeters. The zrx 600.4 replaced the 6/7 year old jbl gt75.4 i had because i wanted something smaller, more efficient with a new school, power efficient power supply for a reasonable price. Compared this amp to my rockford fosgate amps and i think those would win basically because the new rf amps are the best products they've made in a long long time. The sound quality is good, not great, but i know my speakers have way more clean power going to them now since they sound totally different.Mmids are louder, highsare cleaner and the amps mounted in my spare tire well, held down with velcro but ive read thats a good cool place to mount an amp. No problem except slight whining noise either from an old rca, the gain being too high or maybe crossed wires, im fairly certain it's not the amp tho unless gains just up too high. I use my zrx600 to power 6.5" infinity kappa coaxial 100w rms, 6.5" jbl p665 components also handlea nominal 100w (whch btw they bump some amazing mids now, infinitys do too).
I recommend this amp to hifonics loyalists in need of an efficient 4ch amp to power some mid/high end speakers that can handle atleast 80-85 watts, but i bet it could power a couple of 10" kicker comps easily. Ty sonic! As always best deal online, free shipping and good service is a bonus!

Great amp for mids and highs

The following review is for a previous version (ZRX600.4).

This is the amp to buy for mids and highs. I have it on four 5x7's and it rocks them way better than I thought it would. The price of this amp is very low for what you get. I have had way more expensive amps that haven't preformed as well as this one. Great buy for sure.

Great product if it works

The following review is for a previous version (ZRX600.4).

This will have been the second one I have purchased. I purchase one about a year and a half ago it worked great for about three months and the one channel started intermittantly going out it took about another three months to trouble shoot the problem. When finally everything pointed to the amplifier I replaced it with the same one to prevent changing connections so far prolem solved and working great as I said great product when it works

Great little amp

Hifonics ZRX600.4!!!

The following review is for a previous version (ZRX600.4).

Great amp, great look, and small enough for my application, Haven't tested for actual performance if does rated, but good glowing hifonics blue logo, the only thing i did not like is that blue light doesn't work anymore don't know why, but overall good amp. Recommend to anyone.

good review

The following review is for a previous version (ZRX600.4).

ok so I bought this for myself for x-mas but the wife made me wrap it and keep it under the tree.so long story short I hade it for over a month before I even got to play with it. I have it in a 98 jeep wrangler it makes my kicker 6 1/2 scream I can now hear my music even without the top on my jeep. for the price I do not think I could have gotten a better amp I will recommend this to all my friends.

update I rated durability so low because I just got it hooked up and I do not know how long it will keep working.

Clean sound!

The following review is for a previous version (ZRX600.4).

I have been using Hifonics amps for over 10 years. They are still built well and deliver clean sound. Sonic always ships fast and the items are well protected.

Amazing!

The following review is for a previous version (ZXi4408).

I like this amp a lot. I have it running my kicker components in the front and i bridged 2 channels for my 2 10" kicker comps. It handles all this with ease. If you are looking for an amp that is a good deal this is it. It will compete with all the other high end amps and won't cost as much.

Never had this brand and wanted to try

The following review is for a previous version (ZRX600.4).

Well first off, I had bought the PA 2300 watt 4-channel, and with in three-four months use it die on me. So I got this Amp and was really surprised at the power and durability of this Amp. It runs my Mid's and Hi's very clearly. Tanks Sonic's

Gets the job done

The following review is for a previous version (ZXi80.4).

For a lower cost 4 channel amp this thing puts out the power needed for 2 good sets of full range speakers... This thing makes your system match the bass output and stops the muffled over powering bass from subs.... now I just wish HiFonics mono amps were able to output what they are rated at... even though they are CEA2006. Pffft

Good amp

The following review is for a previous version (ZRX600.4).

This amp makes my door components sound loud and clear, seems to do rated power and has a good nice blue light up logo of the hifonics,
the bad is on my amp it does not light up anymore don't know why though. Also this amp is not good for a small sub since it says 300x2 at 4ohm it just isn't clean bass. would recommend for speakers not for sub woofers.

Awesome Amp

The following review is for a previous version (ZXi80.4).

The title says it all, this is an awesome amp. I have been into car audio for about 20 years and have had many different amps and these are high quality. It replaced a Rockford Fosgate P450.4, it has a warmer, cleaner sound and adds a nice punch to my components. My DVD's sound amazing. I have ordered a Hifonics Brutus BRZ1700.1D for my HX2 12's.

Great sound

The following review is for a previous version (ZRX600.4).

Using this amp to push 2 sets of hifonics atlas 6.5 components. It seems to be a perfect match. They get as loud as anyone needs them to be inside the car with no distortion until almost maximum volume level and at that point the volume level more than satisfied our needs.

Great Amp, Clean Power

The following review is for a previous version (ZXi80.4).

I've had this amp in my truck for a little over 7 months now and absolutely love it. I'm pushing a pair of Rockford T1 5 1/4" components and T1 6.5" components as well. This amp powers the speakers amazingly. The only complaint I have with this amp is it gets warm from time to time, however after throwing a fan on it I haven't had any problems. Great product for a great price.

The following review is for a previous version (ZXi80.4).

I've got this amp running Infinity Kappa 6x9s and two JBL 10s. 2 ohms per channel. It pushes the subs well. It has very clear sound on the Kappas. No distortion, no noise, and can play far louder than i can stand. High quality for a very reasonable price. The amp is big and well built. Made in the USA. Unless you want to spend a lot more on an amp, buy this one. I will be buying more Hifonics amps in the future.

Its ok, Could be better

The is not a bad amp at all its just that they heat up fast, I'm gonna be using this for my component speakers, I have the class higher then this amp for my 2 10's and 2 12's Audiopipe voices. I brought the Autotek 2600 watts and no problem it doesn't even heat up, so i think if you buy this Amp your better off buying the Autotek Amps, I know there the same company but Autotek never heat up like Hifonics Amps. I brought the Amp just to test it but i'ma have to get fans to cool them down just to run them with out over heating it.

Worth Every Penny!

The following review is for a previous version (ZXi80.4).

Just picked this up and paired it with the ZXi 6.5c speakers. High quality, detailed, and VERY loud. I'm a huge Hifonics fan and this is another amp to add to the list. The only con on this amp is theres slightly more interference than my old 55Wx4 Alpine, but it more than outweighs it in the quality at high volume.

Great amps for the price

The following review is for a previous version (ZXi80.4).

I have the 150.4 running my ID CTX65cs mids, and 80.4 running my tweets. These are excellent amps that do rated power. My front stage gets way louder then you would want to know, and sounds clean doing it.

(If you do not supply a large enough conductor for your current draw, of course one will cut out. Your autotek is simply taking more current draw and you are not providing enough for both amps. Next time run a 1/0 back to your amps with a dist. block and two 4ga. wires feeding the amps individually and you will be fine.)

Good for the mobey... But

The following review is for a previous version (ZXi80.4).

I bought this a couple months ago and the power does seem under-rated. However, it did get really hot on me and shut down but it was running 2 300 watts RMS at 2 ohms each on channels 3&4 and bridged a pair of selenium horns on channel 1/2- so I was putting quite a load on it, not to mention I didn't have it in a well ventilated area. Since I've taken the subs off and added another pair of horns bridged at 4 ohms on channel 3/4, it hasn't shut down on me since. Also the high pass crossover has a giant range so it's hard to be specific, you just sorta have to guess at it.

Sensitive to power needs

The following review is for a previous version (ZXi80.4).

First of all, I have been trying a few different amps for my four channels and using high pass.
When using alone, the sound of this amp was just beautiful. Sweet loud and clear. BUT THEN I put a AutoTek m1400.4, 4-channel A/B amp alongside of it, for my four 12" woofers. The power wire gauge was not large enough for both, so guess what happened?
Under the increased load the Autokek won, and literally sucked the life out of the Hifonics, making it practically shut down at every bass beat! I was shocked and returned the Hifonics. Also, when using the Autotek for powering the fronts on high pass, it didnt sound as sweet, rather smoother, but had richer soundstage presence. So I have to say I recommend AutoTek over any Hifonics.
