Worked for what I needed

This is a good cheap kit for someone on a budget. I would not run this in a car built for competition as it is not true 0Ga. It is a little bigger than 4Ga just not 0Ga. All of the blocks and fuses seem to be built well. No complaints.

Its not the best but it does the job. I like it because of all the accessories it comes with not the quality of wire.

The actual wire is not all that thick, and its just copper coated. Typical low end gear but it gets the job done. My only complaint is the ground wire is smaller than power so i just used a small part of the power wire for grounding.

VERY HAPPY

after searching for hours I found this installation kit which seemed to be the best deal out there and when I received it i found that I was correct, very good quality and I have no idea how they shipped it to me so fast, and at xmas time! The kit includes absolutely everything you need to install a couple 1,000 watt amps.

Size

The only down size to these is the fact that they are not 1/0 that they say they are but other than that everything is of good build. I also just have these running about 900-1000rms after I add one more amp then it will be up too 1200-1300rms. Going a little bit bigger than what you need is all ways a good idea sense it just allows the pwr move in an easier fashion I noticed the voltage meter on my truck to not pull as much when it was running proof enough for me.

There is all you need to install the 2 amps in this kit sufficient wire I compared the thickness of the wire ( not the outside plastic ) to some of my friends 1/0 gauge kits more expensive at 200 Dlrs and the thickness is the same. And is not oxygen free .. My only disappointment is the fuse box They su ck. I needed to add tape to keep them close. That's all

Good setup but the RCa jacks need to be not as flexible. My prongs broke just from disconnecting them from the amp.

Surprised.

I bought this thinking I would get a generic install kit. To my surprise it exceeded my expectations. Some people complain that the size of the wire in the kit is not correct. I measured the bare strand of both the 0 gauge and 4 gauge that came in the kit and they are to exact standard. The hardware is of medium quality. I would recomend this product. Definitely the best bang for tour buck.

The gauge is not a true 1/0. Although, it does have great insulation which looks like a 1/0 gauge. Works fine and does the job for pushing a 2000 W Mono Block and a 1600W AB Amps.

I would recommend this 0 gauge wiring kit for someone who's on a budget needs better than a 4 gauge and distribution blocks for $60 you can't beat it even though the wire is really only a 2ga it has a lot of PVC jacket on it but like I said for the money you can't beat it

This cable is not true 0 gauge or four gauge, the 0awg is more like 4 awg and the 4awg is something less than 8 awg, good if ure lookin for 4 awg but not 1/0

Not Bad, but not as advertised.

Overall, it's a good kit.

I have to mirror other comments about the wire gauge. It's not as advertised. I'm not running a monster system anyhow, will be about 600-800 w RMS so this should still do the job.

The remote wire is garbage, throw it away. The fuse blocks, and power distro's are what make this kit a gem. Those alone make this kit worth it.

I don't know about the 250 amp fuse though, that seems a bit overkill.

The quality of the kit was very good. but it is not a 4 gauge or a 1/0 gauge kit, the 1/0 gauge is possibly 2 gauge, and the 4 gauge is more like 8 gauge. So if you had a lower power amp this would be perfect, but for an amp that really needs the real sizes, you'll need to look for a bigger kit.

Conducts electricity

What can I say, it's wire. As everyone else is screaming, no, it's not a 0 gauge kit, its essentially an oversize 4 gauge kit that uses copper clad aluminum but for the price I couldn't find anything quite as good. The included hardware was all pretty nice too.

The quality of the wiring and hardware for this kitt was unbelievable. The prize I paid was even harder to believe. In all honesty I can't see how they made any money from me. I've had it in my vehicle for 6 months now, and nobody belives me when I tell them what I paid for it. mines came in a beautiful blue.

It comes with everything you need for dual amps, but the wire is very very poor. the "0" gauge is more like 4 gauge, and the "4" gauge is 8-10 gauge. But other then that the product is very nice!

You get what you pay for

The wires aren't as thick as they proclaimed, but they do their job well enough. I bought the kit due to the fused distribution block so I didn't have to run multiple power wires all the way to my battery. It's an adaquate kit at best.

Well thought out kit that made installation a breeze. Would highly recommend it. Especially for the price. Visually appealing, too. I did have some difficulty crimping the ring terminals onto the 0 gauge for the fuse holder. When I couldn't find a replacement ring terminal that large locally, I ended up going with a different screw down connected fuse holder. My fault though.

Undersized wires!

This is a great value as you get alot of quality items for a low price. The catch here is that all the conductors are smaller than indicated. My old 4 AWG power cable was about the same size of the "0 gauge" cable in this kit and the "4 gauge" is more like an 8 AWG. Besides that, all the accessories are true 0 & 4 AWG sizes. Overall, good bang for your buck kit if you dont need a 0 AWG cable. Also the wire itself is a copper plated aluminum which is an okay conductor.

Nice budget kit

For the price this kit is great. If I was doing show quality install and not hidden install I would have upgraded, but served its purpose for the power of my system. Highly recommend if using in covert install. Not too empressed with the in line 100watt fuse and holder but it's not terrible.

The Zero Gauge is about 2 gauge i would have to guess, the so called 4 guage is not even close to 4 gauge about 8. its a pretty decent kit i might ad for the price.

Decent wire kit

I measured the wires and they may be a little bit smaller, so like a 1 and 5 gauge wiring. But they are within tolerance to call it 0 and 4 gauge. I didn't like anything else really. I bought other fuse holders and ring terminals cause nothing really fit well. All of the fuse holders are made pretty cheap. But for the price it isn't bad.

Not actual 0 gauge

Looks great but the wire is not 0 gauge. The outer diameter might be, but not the inside actual wire. It is a nice set up though and looks professional when installed.

This wiring kit is awesome! It may not truly be 0 gauge and 4 gauge, but it is very thick and able to power my 1700w rms at 2 ohms amp quite easily. It has everything you need to install, and has more than enough power cable. Their was not enough speaker wire for my install, but that was because i have 4 subs, it should be plenty enough for two though. Overall, awesome product and would recommend anyone looking for a cheap, yet awesome wiring kit :P

Been Installing systems for 5+ years!

This kit was excellent for the price! Its pay for itself with the fuses, terminal, and dis block.

Pro's:
-The money paid alone was good enough for the fuses, terminal, and power distribution block..
-RCA'S are decent 3.5/5
-For a budget project this is worth a purchase but dont use the ground wire!!!

Con's:
-The 0 Gauge wire is more like 3 or 4 gauge wire which is decent if it were true copper, but its still okay.
-The worst thing would have to be the ground wire which as 8 gauge not 4 or 0 or even close, id recommend cutting off whats leftover with your power wire to use as a ground because you want your ground wire to be the same as your power wire diameter wise.

This wire kit is a pretty good deal. The wire are not the actual size they say they are and the wire is not solid copper. For the price this is an excellent deal. The fuse holders and battery terminal are good quality. If you are not running high watts I would say get this wiring kit.

InstallBay Complete 0 Gauge Dual-Amp Kit (AK01)

This is a fair wiring kit at best for the $. Fuse blocks and distribution blocks covers suck. I have to zip tie them to keep them from coming loose. They could throw in some more 0 ga connectors. They could also provide a positive battery terminal instead of the negative.

The wires are cca which I didn’t see when I purchased. That’s not the kits fault, and at the price point it’s understandable. Overall, all the components are pretty cheap. The rca cables I would not use in any circumstance. The other pieces are ok for a budget build.

Can't expect more than you pay for

First thing I noticed was how small the 0ga wire was inside the thick insulation...about equivelant to some 6ga wire I've used and that it wasn't very shiny. Upon install one of set screws was missing from distribution block. Remote wire extremely thin wouldn't recommend using it unless only using it for a relay like I use next to my amps. Other than that it was cheap but it might be easier to install a better 6ga kit with same or better end results

Decent Kit For The Money

Went with the install bay kit because of other reviews. I am only running a single sub and then a smaller amp for my door speakers so figured I'd give it a shot since I'm not running a high power system. Kit came with everything you needed to get the job done in nice packaging so that was a major plus! The wire was easy to work with and navigate through the car. My only con for this kit outside of the cheap terminals and accessories provided with this kit, (I did not end up needing to use any of them) is it is not real close to 0awg wiring. If anything, I would say round up to whatever kit you order. Ex. 0awg really means 4awg, 4awg really means 8awg, etc. BUT, I ordered this kit already knowing this from other reviews and they never claimed to be a true 0awg kit. All in all, if you need two amp hookups and aren't needing to feed it huge power, I would recommend this kit in a heartbeat!

All materials used are of very good quality, with the exception of the distribution, and fuse blocks, and my only complaint is that the Allen set screws are very close to being too short for a good, solid wiring connection. Highly recommend the kit otherwise. In combo with a big three kit it carries current very well, and the soft insulation on the 1/0 allows for easy, tight, and stealth installs even through the interior of the vehicle.

I already knew that this will be a 4 gauge wire in a 0 gauge structure the 4 gauge wire and the 0 gauge wire are the same just the 0 gauge has a more coating of insulation but I was only using it for a 500 watt system so it's just fine anything like a 1000 watts this is not for you it's perfect for the price

Must say I like the kit very well it has most every thing I needed but I can't stand that the wire is so loose and must be soldered in order to get a full connection in the fuse holder, battery terminal, and distribution blocks or the tightening screw will just go through the wire pushing it to the sides and only clamping on 1/4 of the wire if you buy this product and I definitely suggest it make sure you have a soldering iron and solder all of the ends on the 0 awg wire and the ends going to the battery terminal to save you some problems later

Install Bay AK01

For the price you get alot of stuff. Not the best . Not true guage . The 0 guage fuse holder scews to hold the cable dont hols the cable you have to rig it. If you were to use true 0 guage that would be perfect . But hey cant complain . If youre expecting to use all the accessories they give you the biggest problem youre going to run into is tightening the 0 guage in the anl fuse holder other than that hey for the price is okay i guess.

Order this package to install a 600w amp, and have the provision for the next amp that will be added in the future. Turns out that some items were not required as I only installed one amp. That is clear on the description.

The only issue I have is that the RCA cables are not the best quality, they worked fine so far, but could be better. Also found hard to properly secure the Fuse box next to the battery, needed to use cable ties as the design has two wholes for mounting, but I couldn't find a sweet spot that would fit.

Not true 0AWG - but overall good!

17 ft. of 0 gauge, 8 ft. of 4 gauge, 6 ft. of 4 gauge, None of these wires are true AWG. Which is also why you won't see AWG anywhere in the specs/info. They don't use ASTM standards so they can't mark it as such.

But for the price ($50ish) you get a lot of blocks and extras that make the overall value of this kit pretty good. I would not buy this kit at a price point above 50ish though, and I wouldn't buy it for a comp vehicle.

Good kit for the money

Seems to be decent quality sheething of cables is very flexable remote wire is not very high quality at all and will break very easy so be sure to get diffrent wire for remote wire. The battery terminal is a negative terminal so its pretty much worthless unelss you want to destroy your positive post fuse holders are decent quality and junction blocks are decent good plus is it comes with a fused positive junction block pleanty of wire for most cars works great for the everyday car audio system if you want competion quality dont use this kit

I installed the product in my car and there was noticeable difference between my 4 gauge that I had installed in my car. Was easy to install if you know how to strip wires. But the 0 gauge you need to use a knife and go around the plastic cover.
