Simply Awesome

When I saw this amp and read up on it I had to have it. It's a lot of bang for the buck. Setup is scary simple. The digital circuitry and class D design is clean and second to none. I have this paired with a JBL P1224 in a ported box and it is much louder than I expected. Very nice.

JBL MS A5001

This Amp is beautifully designed, easy to use and set up! I have it running one 10" JL W1 in a small sealed enclosure in my 2014 4runner. Power is clean and plenty of it. I highly recommend it for its design, flexibility, and clean power!

Serious power, I love the amp for the value

I paired this with two 10" GTO JBL 528 subs wired in parallel, 4 ohm, and it hits so freaking hard, my jeep bounces! Seriously, this is a great amp for the cost. I also own JL Audio and can't tell the difference.

Nice Amplifier!

I am using this for a pair of Pioneer TS-W260S4 subwoofers and a Kenwood Excelon 998 in a 2003 F-150.

This was a huge improvement over the OEM installation, and I am really enjoying the punch that these deliver!

The installation and setup of the amplifier went well enough without any major issues.

great little amp

The shipping was fast and packaged appropriately. The only minor inssue I ran into during installation was the remote input. The input had a 1.5 hex instead of 2.5, so the supplied Allen wrench wouldn't fit. I would suggest reading the book a couple of times b4 setup. I have it pushing a Fi Audio X10 in a 1.3 ported enclosure tuned at 33hz. It sounds better than when I had the kicker zx750.1 pushing it. I'll have to update this review once I have it for awhile to give opinion on durability.

Awesome features

Purchased this amp for the features. Upon arrival, it did not work. I hooked up my Kicker and completely forgot about it. Sonic has a great warranty, so I sent it back- even after the warranty had expired. They gave me another even, so I hooked it up and mounted it on the box, as my box has an amp rack. I blew the screen. It still works great but I can't change anything on the amp as I cant see what I am doing without the digital display. Shame on me for that one!

I LOVE IT!!

I purchased this amplifier to power two RF P3 10inch, dual 2 ohm subs. It does an excellent job at this but I love it soooo much, I'm getting one more and upgrading to two 12inch T1 dual 4 ohm subs. This amp is extremely easy to set up considering the amount technology packed into it. There are almost all usable crossover frequencies available, lo pass and hi pass. Good job Harmon Kardon on an excellent product!!! I've used it for two weeks now so my 5 star durability is a bit subjective...

SIZE OBVIOUSLY DONT MATTER

Opened the box and was ready to send it back. But I have it strapped to 2 15 inch CVRS a Hifonics 1100.1 and every where I go they say " DAMN YOU SHOULD ENTER COMPETITIONS" This battery gives my system the power it needs to slam continuosly. I love shopping on sonicelectronix!

Versatile!

Separate input/ouput level adjustments, digital crossover (no guessing!), subsonic filter with variable frequency & slope, defeatable crossover (on hpf & lpf), variable slope on lpf (same as hpf), automatic turn-on, underrated power, wireless bass remote... What's not to like?? Perhaps the only things I could find is not being 1 ohm stable for those that need it & some had issues with the wireless bass remote staying connected, but other than that this is probably the most versatile mono amp on the market and especially at this discounted price level. These will be missed when they're completely gone from the market.

Powerful Amp for its size. It is really simple to use and has great features! Where was this 10 years ago? The reproduction is great, sound quality and did I mention the features! You can't go wrong with this amp for its price, power and features. It's not a SPL monster but a middle of the road every day type amp. As with any JBL product...its loud and clear!

Kinetik (Hc 600)

This battery work's Very well, and i have it in my trunk for my sound system, it has worked very well for me and no problem's. It works as an extra power supply that pack's a PunCH!...I have it hooked up to my starting batt and grounded in the trunk in my caddy...with a stock alt, (My suggestion is that You need a Capacitor 2 still hold up your amp's....cus you need 2 maintain a voltage otherwise amps wont putt out an accurate power....! This battery does Perform awesome and, it has alot more stamina than a cap. but if you combine both you will have it made and no light dimmedge.! Get this battery for the back and..the Tsunami X15HCAP-40Farad Capacitor, and or the power acoustik PCX-30F...im running both....and it sound's awesome. And run around 13.8 to 14.2

Works great for small amps

Perfect Battery for small 4 channel amps. Reliable and easy to install.

Great battery for being so small.

I have this hooked up to starter battery and stock alternator in my trunk. It's powering an Autotek Mean Machine 2000w rms amp. i was having extreme dimming and power issues so i need something to help out.
So i bought this along with a Power Acoustik 30 farad Cap to maintain constant voltage. All is fixed!! No more dimming and when turned up with the car on i never go below 12.5v.

if you have a stock alternator you need to give your system a break. Don't be blasting all the time because the alternator can't charge the batteries and provide the power all once!

truly amazing

I've owned many amps by orion hcca jl audio memphis audio kicker and even a JBL gt series back in the 90's. First I am impressed with how compact this amp is. The digital read out and being able to perfectly dial the hz in and signal is something I've never seen before and truly comes threw when dialing in your preferred sound. I have it hooked up at 4ohms to 2 12 gto single 4ohm subs in vented box. I can not believe the sound 250w per sub this amp produces. Just incredible. This is by far one of the amps I've ever owned. Top notch two thumbs up I can't imagine it getting any louder and only have it hooked up with a factory radio. But when I get a aftermarket head unit and run it at 2 ohm it will probably be the best overall system I ever owned JBl out did themselves here. For a amp this impressive under 200 you'll be a fool to even look at anything else. Hats off Harmon. Thanks sonic electronix for such a great deal.

Works great with my two JBL 1214's

I put this amplifier in my Camaro Powering two twelve inch subs. It has more than enough power to fill the car, but don't expect to be able to hear your music two blocks away. It is easy to set up and has a very useful suite of features. Overall excellent quality and good price. It doesn't look flashy, but I don't need it to. Would definitely recommend for use with JBL's 1400 watt subs

Just got 2 kinetic 600s great batts keep my lights from dimming

After my alt. and Batt. Fried from the terminal becoming exposed ( the big 3 ) I dicided not to run 0 AWG to the alt any more Instead I got this awsome little battery and replaced my 4.4 farad cap and it rocks. My system is only 3200 watts maxx so combined with the huge battery under the hood power suply is no longer an issue. I have had it for over a year and it can run my 2009 corolla through 15 ft of 0 AWG on its own (I ahd to test it for fun). It fits by my spare tire so its compact design makes it invisible in my small sedan. Throw capacitors in the trash and get one of these instead!

Excellent upgrade for those system lacking power to AMP. Will take your bass performance on your system to another level. For best results upgrade your car battery to a Kinetik 1200 or higher. Avoid combining with a wet Battery "Standard Battery". Keep the 600 Kinetic as close as possible to AMP.

Long constant power

First off let me say, If your using a capacitor, you're wasting your money. These Batteries last twice as long as a normal battery and charge 3 times faster than a normal battery. If your system is slamming on going through a long period of bass, a capacitor will discharge so fast and it wont do any good after that because your bass is still slamming. But the battery will supply all the power you need through that bass. I was running 1200 watts with this as a reserve battery. It did the job but i would still recommend a bigger battery for that power. But I'm still impressed of how well it handled double the recommended power.

Does the job

Well being as tho I never believed in a power cap i feel like this battery is the best choice and being only $99 from sonic I don't see you going wrong. I also did the big three up grade and put in a mechman alt but alt was still dropping down to 13.2 volts, bought the cap killer and now she don't blink when the beat drop!!

I'm not killing my starting battery

I have my hc 600 in the trunk of my car and with an kill switch between it and my main starting battery....now I have no worries when bumping with the car off.

I wanted some decent bass...

I got some pretty awesome bass and a ton more power than I was expecting. Have had 0 issues, and have maxxed this thing out for 2-3 hour drives. It never stutters, it always hits hard, and remains clear. Definitely glad I went with this. If you're considering a 500 watt amp, this is it for the money.

I love this little thing. I got to help with my stereo system. But it did much more than that, it has help my whole electrical system.

I would recommend this product to anyone looking to stiffen up their audio voltage. It didn't cure the power drop 100% for me, but I'd say 75% is solved.

Not for under the hood, or cold weather

Good battery to put in the back for support juice. Went from dropping to 11.5v to steady 14.4. Running 2 Soundqubed HDS200 15's on a hifonics 1700.1

Glad I did this

I have 1600 watts in my 01 Monte Carlo SS and had a 2 farad power cap that was installed and I never liked it. Every time my subs would start hitting my lights would start dimming. Now that I have thrown that away my system sounds better and hits harder and my light's don't dim or wipers don't slow down. I can also keep the system turned up at a complete stop with the a/c on full blast the lights on the wipers full blast and my lights don't dim any more and don't have to worry about blowing a fuse or any thing else this is well worth it's weight in gold. If you have major bass in your vech then you need one of these period !!! Don't even bother with those farad caps any more!!!!

Trunk battery

I have this battery in the trunk of my car, supplying current to my subs and door speakers (900rms to my Jl12w3's,and 600rms to my doors)
this battery in combination with a Kinetik HC 1800 in the front (2x runs of 4awg from front to back)
with the car running, my voltage doesn't drop below 12.8 unless my headlights are on!

If you have subs that make your lights dim, or are considering a capacitor... THIS BATTERY is exactly what you should consider. For the same price as a decent capacitor, you get a battery that can power 1200rms without breaking a sweat! :)
(This battery has more than enough power to start and run your car, so you could swap your stock battery for this if you want to save some weight!)

I had this battery installed as a second battery to a 500 watt amp and the voltage never dropped. Awesome addition to almost any system.

What a deal!!

I was considering purchasing this amp for the full $399.99 retail price several months ago. I waited and SonicElectronix had it for (cheaper) so I jumped on it immediately and I'm glad I did. This is a compact amp that will fit just about anywhere you would want to install it. It features some great tuning features and a lot of power. If anything the power is underrated on this unit rather than overstated like so many amps on the market today. The high-level input adapters are appreciated since I installed it off the rear speakers. The remote turn-on feature is nice because I don't have a dedicated remote turn-on line from my factory radio.

I did have an issue with a loose connection internally in the amp. I sent it back to SonicElectronix and am awaiting the replacement.

Kinetik HC 600

This battery (for the price and size) is very powerful, efficient, long lasting, and performs better than I expected, I recommend this to anyone who wants to add on some punch on your existing battery or who is into installing a car radio on a power wheels vehicle. This battery is powering my son's vehicle's sound system (300-watt amp, also hooked up with a capacitor) on 2 (6x9 speakers) for about 5-6 hrs straight with no problems, trust me, if you're still in doubt.

works good, i dont know if it was the right one for me though, so i got a yellow top..after i got his one cuz my lights where still dimming. now they dont hardly dim at all..and i have a 1000.1 amp and 350.4 both are kickers.

all i have to say about this product is that if you have any issues with your lights dimming on the inside or out, this will either minimize it by a lot or even just eliminate the issue period. in my truck it takes a whole lot now for the lights to dim just a little bit.. i've even ran my truck for an incredibly long time without having the battery being killed. great product.

Cheaper than Capacitator work better than Capacitators

Great battery for the price recommend it to anybody. Can push a 900/5 JL audio amp with components speakers. A JL audio W7 10inch subwoofer, which takes all the power and it was the main reason why I added the extra battery. After that the lights weren't dimming anymore. I did my look around and they told me capacitors are a joke.

its nice to have endless options, real world power over manufacturer, nice looks, small, stays cold, but ive had a few and emailed harmon they are know for memory issues digital setting don't always stay. also the soft start on it doesn't work well. still has a pop other amps don't in my car. also in high level it takes an eternity to turn on after radios on. sound is decent thanks to options. basically i think there are better amps if you can deal without the nice flashy looks. my kicker cx600.1 sounds 1000 time better turns on instantly has no pops and put out same power.

Awesome amp, HUGE BANG for the buck !!

This was the first JBL amp I have ever bought. After a few months of "thinking" about it and reading several reviews, I decided to take the plunge. I am NOT in ANY way disappointed. Both the power of the amp, and sound quality (if you tune it the way they recommend) are both impressive. Installation was easy, tuning was easy to do, although I felt the step by step instructions were mildly vague in a couple of areas, taken a moment to look things over they were easy enough to figure out. I do intend to buy at least one more of these and a 5 channel JBL amp for my Suburban. (once I convince my wife that is...lol) I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this amp...no doubts at all. small wonder

I read through some reviews and seen how positive they were about this battery. I ordered it and i am surprised at the amount of power my increased. I have 2 Rockford P2's and they hit hard now. Im very pleased with my purchase.

Works Great

It does what I need it to do its actually a litte surprising how small it is yet it works so well. I still need to upgrade my alt. But this definitely does help with the reserve power I also got that metal holder for it to securely mount it into my trunk which I definitely recommend also

A good deal

I only have one and it kept voltage drop to a minimum no light dimming at 2000w RMS but you have to keep it charged my only problem was the screws aka terminals that came with it did not screw down far enough to make sure the wire rings had a good connection to the battery I thought it was okay at first but after playing for a while the battery was fire hot had to use a couple washers but fixed the problem

For only twice the price of a capacitor, ya get soo much more. I have one of these wired in parallel with True 4-Guage Monster Power Cable up to the DuraLast Gold up front.

At first... I had a cheapy in-line fuse holder that was defective (the cylindrical fuse kind). Took me a while to figure out what was wrong because this little battery being out back right next to the Pioneer GM-D8500-M and GM-D9500F powering them directly was good for full-throttle volume pounding for a good 45 seconds before it would mysteriously (mysteriously to me at that time) would then start to have output fade out. Used Multi-Meter, figured out that cheapy fuse wasn't passing the voltage along... replaced that cheapy fuse with a nice quality Monster ANL fuse and no more problems. Just bothered to tell that story so ya see how much oomph that little sucker has even all on it's own!

Good product

Looking for a second battery with not much space, then this product is what you need. I had light dimming in my 2004 MB but after installing the HC 600 that all went away and my sound got better. For the size and great price I would recommend.

cool hybrid

Ever since i had this hc 600 in my car i haven't had any problems with my battery . I put this in my car more than 6 months ago and not a problem i had multiple amps hooked up and the lights stay bright . This product is a great buy. I had capacitors before but this is the boom digidy

Great Battery!

This battery is the smallest and lightest battery I have ever seen for a car. It's great for racing, but not so good for running a sound system. If you want a good battery for a sound system I would recommend getting one of the bigger versions of this battery which you can find right here at Sonic Electronics for a great price.

HC-600 kinetic battery

Amazing product if you want that extra power for your stereo system. Great power adder perfect idea for the audio enthusiast.

A lot of power in a small package!!!

First off it should be noted that I am a HUGE car stereo fanatic and usually only deal with HIGH end and competition level equipment like JL Audio, Rockford Fosgate, Creacendo Audio, DC Audio, Sundown Audio etc. etc and so naturally I was skeptical about this amp at first but when I saw the price drop on Sonic and based on other reviews along with Sonics own dyno test of the amp Im glad I purchased it. Its very small but packs a huge punch. I currently have it installed in a 2014 Infiniti Q50 Hybrid with 2 12" JL Audio 12TW1 Subwoofers in a sealed JL enclosure @ 2ohms and this little amp really hits hard. I am really impressed with the features of the amp and being able to change the curves on the fly is a plus. The fact that the amp has both high and low level inputs means I dont need to put a high-to-low, just run the feed from the factory sub right into the JBL and its done. The calibration CD it comes with makes level matching a sinch. The only negative this product gets is the fact that it DOESNT come with the wireless bass knob... And you can forget about finding it online too.... I searched for 2 weeks and finally found it on Amazon UK but at a hefty price tag (80$). It was worth it though as this remote is wireless which means NO WIRES TO RUN. It paired easily with the amp and really makes a difference as it doesnt asjust the gain like alot of other remotes but actually changes the sub curve... Did I meantion its wireless?? I would definately recommend this amp to anyone looking for some big bass in a small package without the big price tag. JBL is a name you can trust. By the way the amo is rated at 500 watts but youre easily getting over 900 watts @ 2ohms. Im happy and i plan on getting the 4 channel when I get the chance.

big juice in a small package!

this little battery is holding its own. its hooked up to a hifonics brx 1400.1d with two cryptic 15 inch subwoofers in a big 3 cubic ft per speaker ported box and it is super loud. i had a light dimming issue that was bugging the hell out of me,but i knew what i had to do.my 130 amp alt and new battery was not enough for that amp tho,but this little joker here with a battery isolator was absolutely the best thing to do.capacitors are a waste of money unless you have the battery and capacitors together. oh and i dont have the big three upgrade just 4 guage normal wiring. bass epicly my friends!

This works really good. I love this thing. In addition to the 2 farad cap and the yellow top under the hood and 0/1 gauge everything it keeps up the volts and lets both my sub and speaker amps blasting. Highly recommend to someone whos looking for more power on a budget or who doesnt want to dip into anything to mechanical!

This little blue battery really packs some punch i have older Honda that has no altanator upgrade just stock 60 amp was having huge light dims even interior light would dim when bass hit wish i could upgrade altanator but 60 is max but no wories cause with this kinetik life saver no more dimmning lights car even turns over faster bass hits harder amps runing lot cooler now as well deff get one if you want more power for the buck also caps put strain on alt so that says it all shortens there life span thanks sonic great price.

This is a great battery. It actually powered my 2340 W RMS system by itself for 10 minutes at 3/4 power. Even then it still had 11.8V. If you want a little insurance, this is freaking awesome!!!

RUNS MY YAMAHA GRIZZLY 660

Put this battery in my Yamaha Grizzly 660 after the OEM battery took a dump. It was originally in my Dodge 1500 next to my amps. But after a new truck and a new install it sat for 2 years in the garage. now has been in the Grizzly for 2 years and hasn't even stumbled. Runs the winch and all. Hold charge all winter in storage. and is only $30 more then factory battery.

i just want to let people know this battery isn't meant to be your main battery, its made to be wire in with your current battery and acts as an extra power supply for your battery.

Best Battery for $

Capacitors are not a good alternative for dimming lights and more power. I run this amp in parallel with my front battery. It is awesome for the price. I get no dimming with 1700W RMS. I use to run 900W RMS and got dramatic dimming. My power wire to the amps are short because the HC600 is in the trunk. I would get this battery or any other of Kinetik's batteries.

I'm currently using this as my only Battery in my car. It works great, but doesn't last very long if I have the car off and music on.

Great bat/cap combo replacement

Added one of these to the trunk along with an HC800 under the hood for main/starting power. There has been a huge reduction in dimming and the car even idles smoother while warming up. These things are sweet!

saved my life

without this cap my ligts would dim everytime my sub thumped and now it has no trouble watsoever, u might as well get the 100fared for a little more.

Just what you need.

I used to have a 2.4 frag cap in my truck. that still let the lights dim when the bass really hit. Not with this unit its a perfect mix of a battery and cap in one. i have no problems with my lights dimming ,nor my battery freaking out. you should really think about this product if your pushing some watts.

Fantastic battery

I've just ordered a couple of these to supplement my car audio in a '34 hotrod. These were the only ones that would fit in the tight area of my hotrod interior. I've got 2 amps...a 600 watt stereo and a 2000 watt sub amp...(Hifonics) running off these. They work much better than caps and really help the system. I will definitely be ordering more for my other vehicles. Other brands don't offer the various sizes these guys do and the prices rock...Go Kinetik's!!!!

Great battery for portable stereos

I bought this to power a floating radio that I built using a marine deck and 4 6x9s. It powers it all day long and has never died on me. You can mount it any direction and it's pretty small so it fits anywhere.

I have a surveillance van and use large powerful 12 volt truck batteries for ac inversion....I got 2 of your khc600 batteries in parallel ...no need to check battery fluids...very happy with your batteries output...I have found a new way to invert some of my power.....thanks

Kinetik hc600

Small size and packs a punch for small systems. Added it to protect my alternator. You do need a bettery isolator and I added circuit breakers for added peace of mind. System is running a constant 14v with system cranked up. No dimming of light when headlights are turned on and no dimming in interior lighting. System is running 750rms, 600rms to one JL W6. If you are going to run a system 800rms and up get the 1400 or go bigger just to be safe.

I built a fiberglass sub box with 2 12" subs, a tv, an xbox 360, and 2 speakers. The kenetik HC600 powers all of that with no problems at all. Great product.

Power

I have the HC600 hooked up directly to a MTX TE801D amp in Cadillac DTS, along with the factory battery. With my system playing full volume I maintain 14.2 - 14.9 volts constant. Even during heavy bass peeks the power is there. The lights don't so much a flicker. This power cell really does a great job. It's small and packs a punch. Great value if you know how to use it right. Pick one up......

Nothin out ther better

The only thing I think will out due this capacitor is an actual battery. And if u want to something that huge in the back of your trunk then by all means be a rookie. This CAP is amazing for it's price. Funny story! I jumped my wife's Chrysler with this thing. Definitely 5 STARS

i know im pulling alllllllllot of power when i have one of these and a five farad cap hooked up and my lights still dim. when the bass hits at 30 hertz it only drop to about 13 on the reader. GREAT WORK kinetic. prolly gonna have to get either a better alternator or another battery. but without this i would prolly blow every fuse in the car and mess some serious electrical stuff up

Used it in place of a cap and it works better than a cap. Very small and weighs as much as an amp. A must have for cars with low current.

I'm using this little amp in a Jeep Wrangler jk 4 door. It fits nicely under the passenger seat for a clean look. I'm using it to push a single 12w6v2 in a slot ported box. It matches well with the sub. It has just enough power to push it to its limit. I'm really happy with this purchase. Great price, and fast shipping.

Works but not for long

Bought this amp, I found it very difficult to set up, even following the instructions... it worked well and after about 8 months the screen stopped displaying. I didn’t pay attention to it as it still worked well. Traded in my car and I was unable to set it up without the screen working. Paperweight now.

Awesome severely under rated amp.

Small footprint, easy to setup, lots of settings, and capable of around 300RMS over rated pushing a 2 ohm load. The 4-channel version is notorious for issues, but this mono version seems solidly built.

Wow! About all I can say about my recent experiences with Sonic Electronix and JBL. I am running 2 JBL GT5-15's 2 MS A5001 JBL monoblock amps, one on each sub. Signal coming off of the stock head unit in a 2000 Toy Camry. The amps are barely idling and the subs are still tight as the day I bought them. Taking it easy on them until they break in, but judging by the quality of the speaker and it taking some time to break in, I can tell this system is going to last. The bass response of the subs is tight and powerful the amps are clean and efficient. Once again Sonic and JBL exceed expected standards in quality product product cost and always great customer service. Thank you Sonic JBL

Great Product and Great Service

I searched for months for the perfect amp. I was looking for sound quality and value. This amp is a ridiculous value. Forget about alpine. They're great amps but they don't touch the value here. This thing is super sophisticated and it's rated at 500 watts but it puts out closer to 850 clean watts. I don't have a super duty charging system so I needed something efficient and this is definitely efficient. JBL far exceeded my expectations. Especially for the price. By the way it's CEA rated.

Twice as nice.

I recently purchased 2 of the JBL MS-A5001 digitally processed amps. I am running one each on JBL GR5-15" subs in two sealed single enclosures. The bass is so deep warm rich tight and clean from the processing in these amps. Still pushing everything with a stock head unit in a 2000 TOY Camry. Plenty of output room left on the Amps. Run them for hours and they are hardly warm let alone get hot. Sonic once again provides quality products with the best prices.

Great JBL MS-5001 Amp & Great Service from Sonic Electronix

first I want to point out that Sonic Electronic made unfortunate problem I had worth having because of there customer service! A few months back I bought a JBL MS-5001 amp and the very first time I turned it on after the install the amp made some RCA input noises? so I called Sonic for a RA (return authorization) number and boxed up the Amp and had it ready to ship, Well I went on a two week vacation and when I came home and seen the box still where i left it I realized that I forgot to take the Amp to UPS before I left, I was worried that it would now have to be repaired and not just replaced since now it is past the 30 day return policy, I felt that Sonic went out of there way to help me by going a head and sending me a brand new one anyway..... The JBL MS-5001 is even better than I had hoped it would be running a single 4 ohm DVC 12" Sub at 2 ohms and does not even get warm after pounding that 12 all day.... very happy ...
