Great Little Amp!

I bought this to replace my JL 250/1 because I couldn't run a 1-ohm load on it. This amp doesn't sound as clean so I ended up hooking both up, one on each sub for a 2-ohm load. The sound quality got better and it puts out a great amount of power. It slams a kicker Comp VR 12 at 2 ohms.

Small Amp Tons of power

Was really skeptical about how much power this little guy put out but it powers my one kicker perfectly and its so small you can place it anywhere if youre wanting a clean unseen install!

Tiny but powerful

This amp is tiny, but packs a punch, similar to the other amps in the VAD line up. The only downside is the 8 gauge power terminals and the push-in style connector for the speaker wire. The speaker wires can pretty easily pop out of the connectors on the back of the amp, and I had to use a 4 gauge to 8 gauge reducer to run adequate power and get the 500 @ 1 ohm promised on the box. Overall it's impressive that such a tiny amp can produce such power and be 1 ohm stable. It's compact design means it can be mounted virtually anywhere or easily concealed depending on what your install calls for.

Excellent Subwoofer

I purchased one of these for my truck after getting rid of my 10w6v2. I built a sealed enclosure to the exact specs on JL's website and I am feeding this sub 400w rms per JL's recommendation. Not only does this sub destroy my old 10w6v2 in SPL, but the SQ on this sub is nearly as good as well. I plan on building a ported box for it soon to get that extra 3db out of it. Bought this from Sonic and I could not be happier.

Amazing

My Brother installed this subwoofer in a ported box, in his chevy malibu. he powered it with a 500 watt RMS Jensen amp. this thing slams. the bass is amazing. JL audio is the real deal. Must buy

jl 13w3v3 subwoofer

I bought one about a year ago I had a w1 before it and it slammed so I upgraded to this and just this one alone is more than enough. Im definitely impressed im definitely sticking to jl audio. Slapping everywhere!!!

LOUD!!!

I know two people that have 3 of these in ported enclosures, one has a blow through in a F150 and it is insane to even be in or around his truck with it turned up, then the other guy has them in a brand new explorer and they are just as loud, I would have to say with these being JL's mid level 13's, they are a greta product, they dont lack in performance one bit. But they take some air space for good sound out of them.

Awesome Small Amp

This amp produces good clean power from its small package. It sounds a lot better than the one it replaced. I crank it for long drives and have zero issues. I have it installed under the backseat of a pickup truck and it fits perfect hidden away. I recommend this for many applications.

Small with lots power

Like the size to fit i the overhead of my sxs

Only thing even at only 2 ohms it gets hot.. really hit sp dont be alarmed. Valur and size if you have no room to have some good power! Love NVX amps
