JL Audio 15 subs 139.9 db first run

For the money i would find this sub hard to beat. I have owned and competed with several brands of 15's and for a little over 300 dollars i hit 139.9 first run on JL Audio 500/1 on each sub in a wedge ported enclosure. pros to the sub: Great construction, excellent materials used to build it and it accepts 6 AWG stinger power wire for speaker wire with no mods or reducer pins. Also, they play well with all kinds of music. cons. i need a larger cab for another set so i can run 4 15's but 2 will do for what i want. Look at these subs close before you buy anything else and do yourself a favor and listen to a set if you can. On the overall i put 4 stars because lets face it there are better subs out there. 5 stars on everything else I'm completely satisfied with he subs.

awesome subs

i bought a box from a guy and he showed me his subs. he had a pair of these and they were the loudest subs iv ever heard. they shake his truck so hard it sounded like it was going to fall apart. when the truck was open it vibrated my cloths and i wasn't even close to them. i could hear his coming from a block away.

Just another example

Hey its me again DJ Cadillac Bob.(1st review) small note before my next review my JL 15" and JL speakers and amps sold the escalade for me.Build your cars with this product it works. Today just finished my second go at these subs 2-4-2 this time in a car club friends impala outstanding beat, lowend and all around good sound. Used a sealed enclosure this time for the limited space available. I think for the money there priced at now they can't be beat. A little history there built on the JLw6 platform if you know JL products you know this is there upper level subs. this time ran off a Hifonics Brutus series mono 600. off the stock chevy impala radio for signal so no tricks here just plain stock. my meter may be off a bit but did 136.7db so the numbers are consistent with my trucks build first go round. he needs dynamat and i think he might get up to the 139.9. . shop if you want to if its the same price go JL they took my abuse.

Wow

I have 4 of these in an s10 ext cab, loaded in an 11 cubic foot box ported to 38 hrz on 2 1000/1 wired to 2ohms each! It is the loudest system I have ever built and I am very Impressed with it! I haven't metered it yet but I would say it's pushing the 150 db mark!
