Best kit money can buy

This kit includes everything I needed for my 4-channel JL Audio amp. I love it. The look of the fuse holder is awesome and the braided cable protector is great under the hood too. The RCAs worked like a charm and I had plenty of speaker wire included. No complaints.

Have not installed yet but it seems to be everything it claims to be. Did recomend itnto a friend but he didn't listen and spent way to much for a kitat a local best buy. Did a lot of research before I bought this kit and it looked like the best value for my hard earned money. Having not yet installed is why I didn't go all five stars. Soon it will be going into my 89 olds custom cruiser with 4 12s....

JL C5 gets an A+

Very impressed at the sound quality of these. Mounted in a 96 4Runner, stock location woofer and tweeter. Made semi custom mount to flush mount the tweeter so i could use the JL tweeter grill. Fully deadened doors, I think this made a huge improvement in bass response. Tweeter is excellent, never harsh at high volume. Crossed at 90hz, getting 110 rms watts. I have a high quality Boston G5 sub getting 400+ and they blend beautifully. I would certainly recommend these, I was more than impressed at their sound.

Quality Amp Kit

This amp kit is high quality. Don't expect sound hiss or whining from you audio system if you use this kit. As long as you wire everything up right and run your wires properly, then this kit is the best for the money and you'll like the quality. High quality copper makes a big difference in sound quality and proper power distribution.
NVX deserves a pat on the back for making this one. Good job.

Nice amp kit.

The speaker, power, and ground wire are exceptional. Very flexible, easy to run, no smell, true to size and just look and feel nice. The RCA looks good too but the ends fit on my amp a little loose. All in all, the kit works perfectly and looks good

Don't cheap out

I hesitated to go with a true amp install kit until I matched this up with a Rockford Fosgate amp that called for a 4 gauge install kit. Just the ease of installation was well worth the price. For 4-gauge wire this is really flexible and easy to snake through the dash and under the hood. Don't believe me? Go to a big box hardware store and just see how in-flexible 4-gauge copper house wire can be. Plus, the difference in the protective jacket of the two is night and day. The NVX kit is a winner hands down. I didn't need to use everything in the kit. Some of the hardware bits I passed up. But I used all the rest. Glad I bought it.

The kit is complete and the power & ground wire are very nice looking and high quality. They are very flexible too and not super stiff like many others. The fuse holder is nice and compact. The speaker wire is excellent too.
Just make sure you add your battery adapter!

Top of the line

This is an amp kit that will bring peace of mind as soon as you open it. This kit is top of the line without question. Look at all of the other brands and even try them (I have had kicker and fosgate kits) then compare to the nvx kit. Without question a must buy for anyone looking to actually get a much better product than what they paid for.

Awesome kit but could've used more speaker connectors

Well the above wasn't really an issue besides me having to stop by the hardware store and getting more crimp connectors. But when paying the amount of money required for this kit, I would've expected more connectors. They only provide you with 4 crimp connectors. Yep, just 4, which accounts for the positive side of the speaker but then you're left in the dark for the negative side of the speaker. Weird. Otherwise they weren't kidding about the thickness of this cable. Does the job wonderfully for the Pioneer GM-D8604. Plenty of speaker wire...more than I needed. All other wires included in the kit were more than enough for my 03 Altima.

Great kit for the price but did not include a sub woofer cable so be sure to buy seperately. Cable was very flexible and easy to work with. Fuse was of good quality. Boots and connectors included. One of the rca cables had a bad connector

I Love These Speakers!

First off, I am depth limited by the 2011 Subaru WRX doors, so it ruled a lot of other drivers out of the equation without severe customization. The tweeter dropped right into the stock location with very little effort and the woofer only took a 3/4" spacer to fit in the door. Based on these limitations, I don't think a better set of components exists on the market! Another plus is that I love the way they sound.

I installed a pair of these in my 2009 chevy silverado crew cab and all i can say is wow!! i have these in the front and the c2 6.5" components in the back door, and i dont have them running on a good amp right now but im buying the xd 600/6 soon! Doing custom door panels in the front and putting two of these c5s in the door, and put a pair in the back. Clear no distortion, it was hard for me to swicth from the rockford t1 components but these are amazing! The tweeter its self lights up my truck, but im not gonna lie, i need louder!! haha i think that im used to them now i wanna go louder which i am soon. Buy them!!!

My fiancé bought these for me for Christmas and all I can say is WOW! I have them hooked up to JL Audio 300/4 and the sound is so amazing. Amidst all the other music coming through the speakers, the tweeters are able to still make every hit of the snare perfectly audible. (the snare usually gets drowned out by all the other music) The crossover options make fine tuning of the system even better by being able to adjust the presence of the tweeter and mid-woofer individually.

I will be buying a set of the coaxial version of these speakers for my rear doors very soon and would not buy them from anywhere else other than Sonic Electronix.

I bought theC5-650 for the front doors of my Dodge Durango already haveing tweeters in my doors the product did fit In the rear doors I installed a pair of JL C2-650X powered by a JL XD400/4 amp Behind the third seat installed a JL audio PWM110-WXJX sub Removed the factory radio and installed a Kenwood KDC348-U radio I am 58 years old never write reviews but was so blown away by this system I felt the need to let EVERYONE know what a value and quality sound will do for a person not to forget the service and knowledge from Sonic They had the right answer for all my questons I am happy with my purchase and their willingness to be there at every turn.

JL c5 650

I have ran the focal k2 power series probably in 2003. I went to the local shop that always did my installs, they didnt have the c5's hooked up but my guy Greg he told me to trust him. I bought a pair and they ran on a 300/4 for the front and a 300/2 for the rears and its insane, bight, clear, loud, painful. If u like clear loud music, get these speakers. I have only used focal k2 power which were 799.00 a pair. These speakers are insane,,they are easily worth the 599.00 retail tag.

Great amp kit

This is a great amp kit, I got it bundled free with a JBL 5ez amp. Great that they included all wiring for 4 channels. I think I even wired the sub with the extra speaker wire from this kit (essentially got 5ch out of it). Oxygen free copper. Flexible wiring. It's great.

Some small cons:
The ground wire is way too short. Ended up using 0 gauge from my installer since he wanted to ground my amp to the frame of my car. This ground wire wasn't nearly long enough to do that. Ended up giving my ground wire from this kit to him, and using a 0 gauge wire he had. (shaved the 0g wire down so it would fit in my amp terminal).

Also the grommit for the power wire is super super tight, which isnt a bad thing. But we had to actually reverse the power wire to run it through the grommit after drilling through the firewall. The nice looking protection for that section of the cable we weren't able to use. We just used some plastic housing for the cable instead, and the part designed for the hood went into the trunk. It would have been nice to use the power cable as designed. Overall it worked out though.

Still a nice amp kit can't complain since it was bundled free! Speaker wire was great though!

amazing for the price!

I installed these in a Mini cooper powered by a JL xd400/4. The sq of these is unmatched. The highs are crisp, clear, and powerful and the mids and lows are warm and clean. Perfect speaker for my listening taste.

Love JL Audio

I have these speakers paired with the C5-650x and the C2-690tx, all powered by a JL Audio 6-channel amp inside my Honda Ridgeline. I also have a Kicker 10" shallow mount sub with a Kicker amp. I upgraded from Pioneer "A" series speakers, and could not be happier. The JL Audio's put out Crisp, Clean sound. The 6x9's thump so hard, who needs a sub. Ok really, but they are that good.

Sonic Electronix stayed on the phone with me for quite some time helping me out. Their customer service is awesome. When somebody does me right, I become a spokes person for them. I have sent many people their way and will continue to do so.

Best 4 channel I've owned

This is by far the best 4 channel I've owned or maybe even seen. I've been doing car audio for about 8 years now and this thing is amazing. Best sound quality I've ever heard from an amp and puts out true power. This thing makes my surround speakers sound amazing and honestly puts out too much power for them almost need upgrade again for this amp but zero complaints at all. Would recommend to anyone looking to have a great system.

Great power for the money

I bought this amp a few months ago and absolutely love it. It's powering my mids and highs up front. The highs sound crisp and clear, the mids bang out some drum beats and they will get LOUD when I want them to. The space this amp uses is also a big plus as I have a truck. I've had no issues at all so far with the amp. I do wish you had slightly more adjustability, but I can't complain. Overall, a happy customer!

very nice amplifier

Great sounding amplifier, the class d design sounds every bit as good as my former soundstream and phoenix gold titanium seriers class AB amps. also bought it for its effeciency which is superb, nice small size and the installatioin is the best yet that i have used and i have installed many different amps over the years.

SOLID!!!

I do not own this amp, but I do own the predecessor and can only say it's still a fine amp! For the footpint, power output, and efficiency, as well as the price, you cannot beat this amp! Alpine quality and sound reproduction is almost second to none except for the extreme high end amplifiers (Zappco, Stetsom, etc.) but you will pay WAYYY more than this little guy! Dont understimate it!

better amps for the price

I really don't like giving products bad or somewhat bad reviews, but in this case I feel the need to. This amp has INCREDIBLE power. I truly love the sound of this amp; however, for the price, there are much better amps available. The biggest issue I have with this amp is the input sensitivity. The max input for this amp is 4v, which is decent for an above average system. If you have a stock head unit and want to run this amp, it requires an LOC like most other amps. For a little bit cheaper, I would recommend the Kicker 11IX500.4 simply because the FAIL safe integration and being able to run a high level input into the amp. Also the kicker has a pre-out for a separate amp incase you want to add a subwoofer. The kicker may only have 75 watts RMS @ 4 OHMs, but this is still PLENTY loud for someone looking for a clear, accurate amp. Of course these features and applications are not meant for everyone, but I just feel that if you pay this amount of money for an amp, there should be a lot more features. I do recommend this amp for anyone who is bias towards the Alpine brand, running this on an aftermarket head unit, and just wants a LOUD system. If that describes you then go with the Alpine. If you're like me and want to integrate with an OEM radio, then by all means look for a different amp like the example I gave of the Kicker IX500.4. Both amps are excellent, but the kicker has a lot more features and capability. I hope this helped someone out.

Let me just start by saying I am very very picky..It take a great deal to impress me... okay... I was a custom installer for a high quality shop back in the 90's. I have done some very serious systems in my day. About 2 years ago I was looking to do a simple "low key" system in my new car. But I wanted it to hit hard and sound fantastic. Being I had been out of the Car audio loop for several years.. I was at a loss when I found out that ALL of the old school, high end, American car audio companies had bit the dust. Though some do still exist in name only... PPI, Phoenix Gold, Hi Fonics, ADS... ect...ect... But they are now Chinese made garbage. So on a recommendation from a friend. I took a look at the Alpine PDX series(Alpine has always made nice stuff). And let me tell you... These amps are BY FAR!!! The most musical, efficient, dynamic... And key word here... POWERFUL amps.. I have ever worked with. They are so far beyond anything I have ever seen... That even after 2 years... I am still amazed by these amps every time I fire them up. They are price wise.. In line with my "Old school favs" A PPI A600 and A404 I had in my 2 seat pick up back in the 90's.. But these amps are so far out of their league.. And that's saying A LOT!! If you are looking for state of the art... If you are wanting absolute car audio perfection. You will simply not find better. Alpine has really done something wonderful here. This line of amps are the simply the best the car audio world has to offer. Thank you Alpine!

Great amplifier

I admit, I was skeptical when I bought this amp because I wasn't sure if Alpine still made the same quality products they were known for back in the late 80s and early 90s. I was driving Alpine 6.5" Components in the front and 6.5" Coax in the rear of my F150. This amp never had an issue at any volume level. Crystal clear at wide-open volumes. I love this amp and am installing it in my new truck. Trying to figure out which components to go with. have narrowed it down to MMATS Pro Audio, JL Audio, and Sundown Components. All 6.5" component sets.

This kit is perfect for any 4-channel amp kit. Very high quality wires and RCAs. I got this free from Sonic with the purchase of my amp. The only negative is that I actually bought (2) 5-channel amps, and had to purchase an extra RCA for each. Not that big a deal, though, as I knew this, and with it being free I didn't have a problem with that.

Nice quality and flexibility for tight bends

This cable kit is high quality, appears to be durable and well designed to withstand engine compartment heat. The 100% copper power and ground cables are very flexible making tight bends to keep the installation neat. The length was fine for a Toyota Camry and similar sedan installation in the trunk. I mounted the amp behind the rear seat, cut off about 6 feet of the power cable and coiled excess RCA cables under the back seat. The kit included some plastic wire tires, firewall grommet, heat shrink, terminals and protective sleeves. Highly recommended.

Really good wire

Awesome wire, really liked the extra protection on the power wire. Love the color. Little expensive. Used this for my 08 Evolution GSR, there was plenty of wire to run all 4 channels to each door from the trunk. Only downside is there were not enough wire connectors for the speaker wire, so you will have to buy extra from the hardware store.Very low resistance wire tho so if your looking for quality look no further.

Excellent sound, no need to shop any farther

I have 2 sets of theese in my Tahoe and all i can say is wow. I have a crappy infinity reference amp rated at 111x4 rms and theese things are loud n crisp even with an average amp. They blend well with my 2 jlw7 12s. Akon sounds awesome and any jazzy music sounds concert hallish awesome. Rap is my main music and for this price trust my review they are worth it just buy them. I've been installing and around car stereo for 18yrs and these are the best ive heard. Its all in the installation of how your speakers sound. These sound great in any installation!

Great sounding speakers

I have two sets of these speakers hooked up and powered by a JL Audio 300/4. The mids are nice, even cranked these speakers sound amazing. The tweeters are unbelievable. I know these speakers are capable of so much but I can't even turn them up all the way. Eventually you turn them up so loud that you can not even bare to turn them up anymore and they still sound perfect. They never sound distorted, or crackly. I am very pleased with these speakers!

I bought these speakers and could not be happier! I actually replaced the Bose speakers that my car came with and the sound quality is unmatched IMO. Of course I prefer JL so I may be biased. ;) I'd recommend these to anybody.

An amazing set of speakers!

I have a pair of these running as my fronts on a 350Z. Even installed in the factory locations, they sound amazing. The tweeters are crystal clear and lifelike and the midtones coming out of the woofers are sublime. The crossovers offer a huge number of sound combinations (three for the woofers, four for the tweeters). It's like having an external equalizer that processes sound off the headunit. These speakers sound just about as good as my expensive Polks in the house. I tried the Infinity reference series on my car before going with these, and honestly, the difference is night and day. Don't even get me started about the HORRIBLE Bose speakers the car came with. I have no doubt that even though they're pricey, the JL's are worth every penny. I couldn't be happier.

2nd NVX wire kit I've used

I had purchased an NVX XAPK1D for a previous project car and for my Jeep I went with the NVX XKIT44 for my JAD800.4. These kits are the real deal and are very high quality. You get proper wire gauge copper wire that's not 50% insulation like the cheap stuff. It's copper too, not CCA, which I've had with lesser kits. The power and ground wire is super flexible for the size and having the 2 RCA's in a single wire makes it nice a clean to install. I love these NVX kits. This will not be my last.

Excellent Sound

The tweeters are excellent with really clear highs while the woofers do a solid job of the mids. I would recommend these to anyone. However to get the most out of these you should consider an amp and sub woofer in addition.

Beast of an amp

This amp is a beast compared to the cx300.4 kicker I had in my dodge dakota I can turn the volume really loud an it doesn't get hot at all not even after my four hour drive home from work would definitely reccomended buying this and I have it on two pair of jl audio evolution c2 600 x speakers and it plays really really lid and crystal clear although I have bushmeat for the speakers reccomended that too for better clarity of listening quality and rattles of door panels the bass is slamming for no subwoofer and the tweeters are bright at times may have to adjust your amp tuning

Great sound!

Installed in the rear doors of a VW that had two way components from the factory. The speakers fit in the factory locations with minimal behind the panel modifications. I had to make 1.5" thick adapters for the woofers. These speakers sound incredible. I am also running a pair of C5-653's in the front - even more impressive. I'm using a JL HD900 amp and running a single JL 10W7AE sub. Without a doubt, the best sounding car stereo I have had. Super clean and accurate. Plenty loud too!

Awesome as Hell

I have this amp powering a set of Alpine Type R SPR-60Cs and and a set of Alpine Type R SPR-69s on a 2006 Harley Electra Glide and I must tell you I am beyond impressed with the clarity and mid bass. I dont have alot of bass because the 6x9s are in saddlebag lids as opposed to inside the saddlebags but the sound is just awesome. There is no need for the bass because I ride my HOG i dont post up rolling at high speeds is louder than the stock or upgraded audio that Harley has to offer and for a whole hell of alot cheaper. The sound is better, clearer and louder than the Harley 8 speaker set up that cost $1900 PLUS the cost of the lower fairings ($650) and the saddle bag lids ($120 primed EACH or $230 - $280 painted to match). This amp is very easy to install. A rookie can do it ease.

Got this bundled in a deal with my NVX XAD41 amp, and couldn’t be happier.

The wire is ultra flexible and seems over sized, I used NVX brand wire ferrules for a cleaner look and good connection at all points where I would otherwise had a bare wire connection.

I really love the fuse holder, just be sure if you are installing sideways like say on a fender well you mount it with the side screws for the power wire facing where it’s easiest to access. I mounted mine to the fender with liquid nails LN-2000 and two #8 x 1/2 stainless steel screws after double checking it wouldn’t interfere with hood structure or anything else and drilling a pilot hole for the screws.

The RCA and speaker wire is excellent too though I made the mistake of running my RCAs along the door channel next to my new speaker wire runs which are amplified (100w RMS) and so introduced some noise until I moved them, not a lot but I had to turn down my amps gain to avoid some hiss. So if you for some reason can’t run them under the carpet you may want to order some RCA cables with say Mylar shielding.

I really recommend you get the install bay firewall grommets for this size just in case, they are absolute life savers. My best option was to run powerwire though the passenger floorboards firewall and they make me confident that I will have zero water intrusion.

Couldn't tell you if this is a good kit or not. Have been waiting nearly a month and it appears I will never receive it. I guess no loss since it was "included free" with the amp I bought. Sadly, this was my first and last purchase with Sonic. After paying extra for next day delivery, then receiving the item 5 days after I ordered, we weren't off to a good start. They were supposedly going to send the kit out but it has not shipped, nearly 3 weeks after I was told it would. Received my next day delivery money back about 2 weeks after the order; at least I got that back.

Hold on

At first I bought this amp because it was low profile, even though it good specs. I put under front seat so I could put processor next to it. Got everything in and redid front amp for components & rear amp for sub. Did this with VOM because my buddies Oscope was being fixed. I thought would be close enough. Alpine is driving Hertz mlk165 & cdt 2" front fills & DLS 226 coaxials in rear. My HU is Pioneer 4300dvd and I can not get it over 15 out of 40 volume. Amp will run you out of car and never gets hot, no distortion, plenty of power & rocks. Install was easy, using 4ga wire all around. If you are looking for great amp don't hesitate to check this baby out. All my SQ buddies are impressed and they run Sundown, ARC & Audison.

Great little amp

I have this paired with JBL P650C 6.5" components in the front, and JBL P953 6x9's in the back. This amps pushes these speakers well enough to keep up acoustically with 2 JL 13w6v2's in the trunk. I'm planning on updating/upgrading my front stage to something better. I upgraded to this from the pdx 4.100 (old version, also a sweet amp). It does produce slightly better sound quality than the old amp, and seems to use less power while doing so. I don't think it would be worth upgrading from old pdx, unless you want to keep the old one for another car like me. In the past i've used lower wattage fosegate, jbl, (power series) and jl (slash series) amps in it's place, I like this amp far better than those based on footprint alone. SQ using my speaker setup is on par with the jbl and jl amps, fosegate was a little too boomy and muddy, but also cheaper.

The sound this system produces is off the hook ! The PDX is tucked under the rear bench seat and stays cool as a cucumber. The power it puts out is insane ! Outputs on LC are set at 3/4 with the PDX gains turned all they down ! You have to hear it to believe it. I can turn the volume up as loud as my ears can take with zero distortion. Talk about pure power. Alpine has nailed class D technology. So glad I ponied up for this amp.

Just got these speakers and was just blown away. I've installed it in the rear doors of my Toyota Venza with the OE head unit. What big difference from OE speakers. Superb audio

Sweet audio quality, both tweeters and woofers.
I have an old blaupunkt Tha475 75Wx4 amp, factory HU and a Fix-82.
8W3v3 sub in the back.

I had the C2 for a while before.
With the C2 you could tell the amp could give more than the speakers.
The C5 begs for a bigger amp, I'm thinking of a XD600/6 with channels bridged on front and keeping the C2 650x on the back.

Much better than the C2, the tweeter is even smoother and clearer, the woofer can handle more power for sure. Maybe I will also need a bigger sub!!!

Alpine PDX-F4

This is definitely worth the money. I am running two sets of Focal K5's on it and it runs nice. Not as natural sounding as I would like, guessing that is due to the amp being a class d. But, all in all nice amp.

Pro's- smaller footprint, runs cool under any load, and runs clean.

Con's- sound is not natural, price.
