Nirvana in a box!

Prior to this sub I was running an Rockford Fosgate Punch 1, 12 inch sub in a ported box. It was alright but I found the bass "muddy" and did not suit all kinds of music. A friend who is a diehard JL fan suggested this particular model. Luckily I was able to return the RF sub and bought this from Sonic and received it in 3 days - outstanding customer service and very efficient deliver (free too!). Let's just say once I hooked it up and listened to the first track (Snoop Dogg: What's My Name) I knew I had found the sound I was looking for. Outstanding clarity in highs/low end. Only had the gain on the RF T-500 amp at one third and it was thumping my Xterrra at mid level on the atenuator sub!

The unit itself is built beautifully, solid and compact enough to fit in most vehicles. Having it wedge shape makes it convenient to place right up to the back seats of the SUV. I have it tied down with small straps and ratchet to keep it from moving around. I am so impressed with JL Audio, that I'm saving up to replace my front speakers with JL compnents! You know that saying: "you get what you pay for", well, in this case you do, and then some! Thanks Sonic for all your help and offering such a great deal on car audio!

CS112RG-W3v3 = easy way to add ultra smooth bass

I paired this sealed 12" subwoofer and enclosure with a JL XD600/1 for use in my 24' wakeboat this spring. I didn't want the hassle of building a custom enclosure, and I wasn't looking for tons of SPL. I just wanted some nice smooth bass to round out the music coming from the MX650 cockpit speakers. I couldn't be happier with this piece of equipment. It fit perfectly in the helm compartment and was easy to hook-up. The sub puts out way more volume than we need, but every once in a while a good hip-hop track will find its way into the playlist, and I'll crank up the sub to the point where the whole boat is shaking. This really is a well-designed sub and a perfectly matched enclosure that doesn't take up much space. We enjoyed the hell out of it all summer.

No Complaints

I purchased this sub as a good compromise between high quality and price. I am very impressed with it. Solid low end and not muddy. After hearing this speaker, I would purchase it again, even if I had more room for a larger cabinet. Great value for the $$$.
