1200 watts of true power
This is the best amplifier that I have ever purchased. I know I have 1200 watts of power at any Ohm level between 1.5 and 4.
I have 2 of them Powering 2
DS18 EXL-XX12.4D Subwoofers, (One powering each sub) these things rock!!!

Big Power In Small Package
Like the previous JL amp I use to own 1000/1V2 this new one does not disappoint. It delivers the power no matter the own setting you have your sub configured at. The amp has a small foot print, about half the size of 1000/1 series amps. It is still a little power hungry but it is to be expected.

JL Audio HD1200/1 Damaged Packaging Only (New)
I purchased the JL HD1200/1 to replace my JL XD600/1. I set the gain to 37.41 volts / 700 watts to drive two JL 10tw1’s wired in a 2 ohm load. The bass output has “cleaned up” tremendously. The fidelity of the XD amp was not as refined as with the HD series. I don’t know exactly how to describe it, but the bass is more controlled and less “boomy”. I have plenty of headroom in this amp to allow for an upgrade that I plan to do at a later date. I’m either going to upgrade the subs to the JL 10TW3’s or Alpine SWR-T10’s. Still trying to decide. I have limited room under the rear seat of my 2008 Honda Ridgeline. I like the fact that this amp’s power supply is regulated and puts out the advertised wattage at any voltage between 11-14.4 volts and at any load between 1.5-4 ohms. I’m running a passive setup with a Kenwood DDX9905s head unit, Alpine xs65c components in the front doors, JL C5-650x coaxials in the rear doors, Alpine pdx-f4, JL HD1200/1, and two JL 10tw1’s in a custom sealed box. All doors are entirely sound deadened. I plan to updated the Alpine pdx to the JL HD600/4 as well as the subs mentioned earlier. Sonic Electronixs is my favorite place to get my audio gear. They have the best prices with very fast shipping. I wouldn’t be happier purchasing anywhere else.
