Couldn't ask for more

I Installed this in the trunk of my 2006 Subaru Legacy, and let me just say It is exactly what I wanted. After researching all the reviews of other subs, I gathered that there are other subs that sound decent for less money, but they also don't last very long and put out less power. This sub has it all. Looks, style, and most importantly, Bass! As many other people have mentioned, this is not for a Bass head. If you're looking for a powered sub that will rattle your vehicle, but not the one next to it, this is for you. One last thing...if you plan on buying this, don't forget about the remote bass control knob, and the grille to protect the sub.

Unexpected results

I bought a new 2013 Hyundai Accent hatchback and the stereo was horrible. It didn't have depth, range or any bass tones. I have owned a hatchback before and had different subs but over a certain volume the bass just washed out. I didn't know I could get jl for this price and let the shop here install it. WOW! Tight, hard hitting bass for a single 12", doesn't washout when it's cranked! It's no monster, won't set off alarms but it rocks the heck outta that hatchback. It's also the only thing I added. The rest is stock. For the money.. a no brainier. You won't be disappointed.

Awesome Sound!

Have this in the rear hatch of my 1983 Camaro Z28. I removed the amp from the box to help it fit down in the rear well. I love the fact that the amp is matched to the sub. Set it up to factory specs per the instructions and over a year later, it is still hitting hard! I tend to listen to rap and techno with deep bass and this combo loves it.

I do plan on buying a 2nd sub and a sub box made specific for my car, but for the past year this thing has done all I have asked it to.

Great Product

I purchased this sub about 6 months ago. It is very reliable, it has never blown out or anything. It is definitely worth the price.

Great Sub-Amp Combo

Purchased this and installed in an '05 Nissan Altima with factory speakers and an aftermarket Clarion head unit pushing 50W/21W RMS x4 channels. Placed it in the trunk facing the rear of the car and it sounds great! Hits the lows nice and solid. Plenty of power from the amp. One nice thing is that the box, sub and amp are all matched by JBL. I've read some reviews on the 10" version that say it isn't powerful enough but this thing will rattle your car if you want. I keep it turned down most of the time as I just want it to compliment the rest of the system. If you want something that is a nuisance to other drivers then you should go for a multiple sub setup with a couple huge amps. Very nice for a single sub and no reliability issues after 6 months of use.
