Jensen VX7020

Get all the installation kit and you wouldn't have a problem. I install this on a 2010 Chrysler Sebring. Installation was very easy. The deck is not bad: 1. Easy to operate. 2. touchscreen is very responsive. 3. The picture quality on the DVD is beautiful. Here's what's lacking. 1. There is a lag when you activate the GPS and it's always late when it announce your turn 2. There is also a lag when activating the rear view camera. 3. Remote control quit.

Overall, for the price, I will recommend this one.

Great value

I've had this unit installed in my Acura RSX for over a month now, and so far I'm pleased overall with it. The number of features you get for the price is unbeatable. I've used: AM/FM radio, Sirius XM, USB thumb drive, navigation, CD/DVD, backup camera, and Bluetooth. Have not used the aux input or Pandora. Everything I've used seems to work well, especially the navigation. After some customization (like getting rid of the annoying speed warnings) the routes are easy to set up and follow. The installation went pretty well -- the instructions could have been a bit more elaborate.

The only negatives I have is that I cannot get the remote control to work, even after a replacement was sent by Sonix. Also, it takes a few seconds for the backup camera to come on once the car is put into reverse, which is a bit annoying. The stereo sounds great connected to the built-in Acura Bose system.

Great unit

I got this unit for a second vehicle because I wanted a backup camera and Bluetooth. I have a Kenwood from 2011 in my truck and did not want to pay the Kenwood price again. For the money, you can't beat this unit. I know it is newer but it is tons faster than my Kenwood unit. The only thing I don't like about it so far is the USB port is in front. I bought a relay mini USB for music. It still sticks out a bit but is OK. I put in 03 expedition Eddie Bauer with factory subwoofer. I did get the steering wheel controls to work with out an external swc but it was intermittent so I got an external swc and it works flawless now. I put a pyle camera with it and it works nice. It took me about an hour to put it in(but I have done it before.) I have considered replacing my Kenwood with one of these just because it is so much faster. Nav unit works nice. Pulls in way more fm stations than the factory radio did. For the money I would definitely buy again. I received the wrong harness with my order initially - apparently Ford used 2 different plugs for my year. Sonicelectonix immediately sent out the correct one.

Fanastic head unit for the price

I bought this unit along with the AWSC-1 SWC to install in my GF's 2010 SX4. The price was right for this head unit and was a reputable brand name and overall I am very happy with how the install went (did it myself) and how the unit functions.

Shipping was very quick to Canada and I sat on it examining all the items to make sure it was all good and it was. The internet was useful for me to find the wiring diagram so I could wire it into the car properly (also showed me how to remove the OE unit also).

I took my time and did the install over 2 months. I was re & re'ing her OE head unit tons of times and installing the Jensen to check and double check the fit and how it would fit inside the dash. I had to take the stock radio brkt. and modify it so it would work with the Scosche radio bezel and also to properly support the back of the radio in the car.

As for the wiring plug I read and reread the instructions tons of times before making my harness up to fit perfectly from the stock radio plug in the car to the Jensen. I did move 2 wires from the Scosche radio plug as it was not needed to a different position on the plug so I could wire in the AWSC-1 interface.

The final install was to be done in the spring (warmer) but I did do a test run of the unit in the car once the wiring harness was all done. I powered up the Jensen, did the head unit update and also the Nav update and made sure all the general stuff was working right (it was) and put the unit away.

This past weekend we had a warm day so I went out and properly installed it.....................fits like a glove in her dash and all functions working as it should.

No real negatives for me other than the free nav update was only for the USA. Since I live in Canada I paid the extra cost to get the Canada map and updated both maps to 3D content and everything. Personally I feel the updates should include US and Canada (we are neighbours after all LOL).

Just getting used to the Nav functions but everything works as it should......................very happy with how this project turned out for me and would definitely purchase another one to install in a future car down the road. Recommended buy for sure.

VX7020 is Awesome!!!

This unit is friggin awesome! I bought a Pyle backup camera and tied it in to my reverse lights, then ran a wire from my reverse lights to the VX7020 reverse wire on the back of the Jensen. It worked great! The screen resolution is beautiful and the operator interface is very intuitive and easy to use. The hands free sounds amazing. I can't even tell when my wife is in the car using the hands free while we are talking. The DVD player clarity is perfect. I couldn't be happier with the purchase and would def purchase again. I'm probably going to get another one for my other vehicle!

Awesome product!

Really had a great experience with this company. Customer service was very helpful. Stereo came exactly on time and is better than what I imagined. Price was way cheaper than Best Buy. It even came with a free install kit and a free wiring harness! Definitely a repeat customer!

Stereo is easy to install myself. Took about an hour for a 2005 Expetion. Works perfect. GPS is spot on. DVD is crystal and sound is awesome!

I have not installed this unit yet. But I will say that it is well built and really nice features. I don't believe you can purchase a head unit with these features for less anywhere. I will give an update in the near future.

Excellent Value

Hands down you can't beat the price for a head unit with GPS. The features are very nice, but could use some refinements.

Pros:
- The Price
- Rich in Features
- Ease of Use

Cons:
- Mounting Hardware is NOT Included (instructions indicate to use the ones that come with the mounting kit or on the old head unit.)
- The interface could use some refinement
- The harness adapter Sonic Electronix included for the 2002 Mercury Mountaineer lacked connections for the factory sub.
- The built in steering wheel interface does not work with fords or is just too complicated for me to get working.

Given all that I now know about the unit I would recommend the unit for lower budgets.

Figured buying the "cheaper" unit would mean a lesser quality but the navigation works great and I really like it

Excellent Product

This head unit have to be one of the best units that I have owned. The recption is very clear no background noise. It is cabable of picking up stations as far a 150 kilometers away. The bluetooth works very well. So far I haven't used all the functions ie., backup camera, but I am very happy with it.

Not bad, but has one real big bug!

Overall I love the unit. The big problem is while using bluetooth, you lose all navigation. The screen cannot leave the bluetooth page. If you could at least see the map to follow your route that would work. Only option is not to use built in bluetooth and instead use a bluetooth earpiece. Everything else about the head unit works well, steering wheel controls, SXM, DVD (didn't hook up backup camera and look online for simple dvd parking brake bypass). Too new to comment on durability.

Incredible value for any price!

I have a Pioneer AVIC-N1 with XM radio and iPod connection that cost $2400.00 and does not have half the features as the Jensen VX7020!!! This is the unit that you want to have installed in you vehicle. the sound is great, bluetooth works great, GPS with updateable maps, DVD and yes you can leave the iPod at home and put your play list on a flash drive and plug it in (iTunes is a pain in the but!!!) also video and pictures! I can't think of anything else I would want from this unit. Face it everyone technology is moving so fast, why spend BIG money on units that will be out dated in a few short years? For the features no one can beat this unit at the price!!! I rated durability at three only because I just installed this unit and don't know about the longevity of it.

My son bought this for me for an early mothers day present. It is easy to use, easy to program, big screen is much easier to see than my GPS. Son installed it himself. I opted to not get a backup camera and the stearing wheel controls are not yet hooked up. Two complaints : that the volume always comes on very loud and there doesn't seem to be any way to set a new start up volume, and the GPS volume (at its maximum) is much quieter than the radio volume.

This product was just what I was asking for. It's great for the money. The GPS is phenomenal as well as the bluetooth capabilities. Really sweet set up because you can control Pandora and the Ipod right through the deck. What I like most is that you can play music while using the GPS whereas in similar models for the same price can't do that. All in all a great buy. Don't be thrown off by other reviews where people say the GPS is lagging or doesn't work. That's not true. They just didn't set it up properly.

Smart choice

There aren't many head units out there with 5volt pre outs and gps. And at under 300 bucks I was sceptical that it would be a good value but decided to cross my fingers and go for it. An added bonus also is the built in stering wheel converter. Saves on buying one and then trying to program it. The only draw back, no canadian maps on the gps. But most people reading this probably are from the U.S. anyways...

I was a little skeptical of buying Jensen but now I'm glad I did. I mean you get a DVD player, navigation, IPod and iPhone connectivity and Pandora control through this radio with your Usb cord lightning cord. This is a great value.

Jensen VX7020 refurbished unit, 2007 Hybrid Highlander

I bought this a week ago and installed it immediately. The features were great for the price so I did not expect too much from the unit as it is a less expensive unit. I reviewed this for hours before I bought it from their ebay store. I installed the Jensen VX7020 refurbished unit, into our 2007 Hybrid Highlander with no JBL factory or anything except a CD/Radio.

MAN WAS I happy after one day of familiarizing myself with it. I have had no problems with the navigation unit, and it works fast and flawlessly. I will need to find a PC (NO MAC) to update the 2 year old maps. The bluetooth pairs more than one phone and we have no problems with it. Pandora works great with or without the USB connections, but does take longer if you are on short trips to initialize every time. The DVD works great and is sharper than I thought it would be. The phone works great with my iphone 4,5,6plus. Nice to sync my address book and phone numbers to be built in.

I was surprised at how easy the install was with my sons help in placement for the microphone and GPS. Honestly am very happy with Sonic and my experience with everything. I did try to call these guys but never got anyone to pick up. I searched for videos online for install tips for my car. I found a video by Sonic Electronics that was the best I could find. I wish they had more. I am hoping I can put this on my 2006 Prius now...but I am thinking not. Much more difficult I believe. We have a long trip coming up and I will post again on the performance of the 7020. AGAIN very happy with the price/value performance of the unit itself. Thank you guys

This is a worthy overall product, tech support very helpful. Maintaining touch Screen calibration and losing stored radio stations an occasional problem? Install plate for my vehicle left a small gap. I still recommend the VX7020 for what it says it will do

Great value for the money!

Every thing works, I installed myself. I am very impressed with the display screen, very clear. The audio sound great. The only issue I have this unit updating roads map for the navigation. Go to naviextas.com to update map for one time free, but nothing there for free like it said. I think you have to pay for the latest maps.

Good value, not completely glitch free

This is a great priced unit with a lot of options. It's pretty user-friendly, but there is one thing that really bugs me. If you turn the radio on and then go to the navigation, there is no way to simply turn off the radio, unless you go to an unused option like AV IN 2 or Pandora (if your phone is not connected.) There is no on-screen control of the radio/Pandora/iPod, etc. while in Navigation, unless you switch to that application - or use the remote for some functions.

I did have to send the first unit I had back to Audiovox (Jensen). I got a "Fatal error in the Main thread" warning. When I called them, they told me to send it back and they promptly sent me a new unit. I couldn't find too much information on this particular error, but I believe it has something to do with the operating system.

Overall, you could probably buy a better unit, but no where near the price this one is. It's a good low cost unit but just know it's definitely not going to be perfect.

Bang for the buck

I purchase this radio with the installation kit for nissan frontier 2011 sv 4x4 crewcab(dash kit and harness kit). I buy a pyle camera for license plate too. Everything fit like a glove. The radio have a great sound better than my oem. Play dvd and image quality is unbelievable (i can play dvd in motion...ground the brake wire. Bluetooth function is unbelievable sound. Great picture with camera backup....the only negative point is GPS map....i know this stuff is sold in US but no map for the Canada, you can go with naviextra and buy 69,95$ us map for Canada....but after a few test i found igo primo 2.4 cracked version and i have all the map for the North America......definetively a big bang for the buck compare with other HU at 600-800 price range.

Forgot one thing on my review!!! IMPORTANT

My stereo did not come with any mounting screws!!!! Maybe they forgot to include them, but it seems odd that you'd pretap for a certain screw threading and not include screws to mount the system...otherwise I still love it..just had to run to the store twice...once for screws and once for an extension for the rear camera Video cable because I have a truck and not a car...not Jensen's problem, PYLE's cables are for car length.

oh the features

This unit is awesome for the price DVD is good the picture is great,installation was easy in my 98 explorer like looks factory. GPS is flawless,eq is simple and effective and 10 bands with loudness is perfect for my stock setup,the Bluetooth is quick to connect with no problems. Only bad is the swc doesn't work for my exploerer. Over all a great upgrade. Would recommend for the budget minded person like myself.

Awesome deck

So far so good. I love the look and also the sound of the stock speakers when it plays. The navigation is a little tricky but once you have it figured out there is no issue. It links up to my phone real easy.

Nice system

I'm really pleased with the whole package and the Sonic people...amazing how accurate the GPS is, as soon as you pass a speed limit sign that's lower than your speed it tells you right then! No tickets with this system...music is great, blue tooth is excellent! ZERO regrets! Maybe I don't have it figured out yet, but it would be nice to be able to dim the screen at night.

I absolutely love this box. It is very easy to setup and operate. I read some other reviews on this and took the leap, so glad i did. For the price, the options they give you, the ease of operation I think this is one of the best units on the market.

This head unit is just what I wanted for my wife's car. The controls are intuitive, The sound is much better than the original unit. The Bluetooth and GPS are easy to use. I added a BOYO back up camera to complete the set up. Very happy!!!

Tried a cheaper touch screen at first and it was horrible! This Jensen has everything you need. Bluetooth, Pandora Link, GPS, Aux, USB and more. It has preset equalizers or user settings. Has plenty of power if you have a subwoofer and system as well. Would highly recommend this model, especially for th cost!

PROS: The radio has a lot of nice features for the bucks. I like interface, and the instructions are pretty good. Sound is excellent in my F-150. Bluetooth works well. Software and map updates are pretty easy.

CONS: The radio does not remember the last volume setting before you turn off the key. With the latest software, you can set preset startup volumes. It does not come with mounting screws. Trying to find an M5x6 screw is impossible. I had to buy M5x10 and cut them off. Getting to the presets in the XM radio is annoying, especially if you are driving. Presets should be on the home screen just like the AM/FM.

OVERALL: It is a good radio and I am happy with it overall. There is room for improvement, but considering the price versus other units, it os OK. If you want a radio with alot of goodies on a budget price, check this out.

Jensen VX7020 in a 2008 Toyota Sienna

Installed this in my 2008 Toyota Sienna.
Easy installation with the included hardware.
Next task is tackling the steering wheel controls.
Everything works as advertised.
I did update the navigation and now have spoken street names. A very easy upgrade.

Great Upgrade for Any Vehicle

This radio has it all & is easy to figure out. Has Pandora radio on it. It links to your iPhone or Android, and I use it on a daily basis. GPS is awesome too. You can't beat it especially for the price. Works wonderfully and can upgrade anyones vehicle. I would highly recommend buying this item, if your looking for a stereo upgrade.

For all the features that this radio provides I would recommend purchasing. Installation was simple. Sounds is fuller than radio replaced. GPS work great. For the price this radio was worth the purchase.

Great Head Unit

I ordered this head unit after doing extensive online comparisons between different brands. The Jensen VX7020 had good reviews, offered all the features I was looking for, and the price was within my budget. The box arrived within a couple of days of ordering and had everything I needed to do the install. The instructions were clear and straight forward. The most time consuming part of the installation was wiring up the harness. This unit has added new life to my old truck. The radio sounds much better than the stock system that it replaced and the Bluetooth feature works very well. The navigation has intuitive controls that can be customized to the users preferences. Although it doesn't seem to be quite as accurate as my old Garmin, it looks great and has some features that my Garmin doesn't offer. Make sure to get the free map update on the provided SD card. One of the first things I did was turn off the audible speed warning. Overall, I am very pleased with this unit so far.

A PEACH OF A PRODUCT

I was sceptical at purchasing a Combo unit at such a reasonable price but it has made the grade in my opinion. The features are all inclusive for me. I like its setup and ease of operation from one component to another. I like the performance of each of the components andwon't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. The installer even comented that he wasn't that high on brand but was impressed.

I was really excited to get this head unit until I learned about all the stupid extra features they included.

For example, half the reason I purchased this radio was for the DVD player. When you have kids or passengers, it's convenient to have for entertainment purposes on long trips. Well, I had to learn the hard way after installing this unit - IT DOESN'T ALLOW YOU TO USE THE DVD PLAYER WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION. YOU HAVE TO SET THE PARKING BRAKE IN ORDER TO WATCH A MOVIE. A WINDOW POPS UP TELLING YOU "IT'S ILLEGAL TO WATCH DVD'S WHILE DRIVING." WELL NO ----!!! IT'S NOT FOR ME, IT'S FOR MY KIDS AND PASSENGERS! In addition, who the hell are they(JENSEN) to dictate what I do when I'm driving anyways???? STUPID. Paid $300 on a unit that doesn't actually have a functioning DVD player, unless you want to sit in your parking lot or driveway to watch a movie. Absolutely STUPID.

I HAVE TO SERIOUSLY QUESTION WHO DESIGNED THESE FEATURES, THEY NEED TO BE FIRED, OR JUST ---- FOR WASTING MY MONEY AND TIME!

NEXT, ANYTIME YOU GO OVER THE SPEED LIMIT, YOUR MUSIC STOPS PLAYING, AND THE NAVIGATION VOICE COMES ON AND YELLS, "YOU ARE OVER THE SPEED LIMIT!!!!" NOT EVEN KIDDING, IT'S SO LOUD, IT ALMOST BLEW MY SPEAKERS OUT. DRIVING IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC FOR 20 MINUTES, I WANTED TO RIP THIS UNIT OUT OF MY DASH IT THROW IT OUT THE WINDOW, OR THE DESIGNERS HEAD. TOOK FIVE MINUTES TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO DISABLE THE RETARDED FEATURE. WHY WOULD ANYONE EVEN CONSIDER INSTALLING SOMETHING SO STUPID?? YOU ARE OVER THE SPEED LIMIT!!!!!! Every 60 seconds, unreal!!

Also, any time the GPS goes out of range, even if you're NOT USING NAVIGATION, the unit stops your music and again yells, NO GPS SIGNAL!" Like really???? I'm not even using the Nav, why are you constantly disrupting my music to tell me something I'm not even using???

Then, the volume, for whatever the reason, it's not programmed to stay at the level you leave it on when you turn your car off. The next time you get in your car, it BLARES at 15 notches higher from whatever you left it at when you turned your car off. THAT TOO has to be reprogrammed in after install.

Next, the Blue Tooth. If you're listening to music from your iPod or phone through the Blue Tooth, and should you switch to the radio or any other feature, the volumes between BLUE TOOTH and Radio are a HUGE DIFFERENCE. I almost blew out my speakers again because for whatever the reason, Blue Tooth's volume controls DO NOT MATCH THE RADIO's. I have to turn the volume almost all the way to the MAX just to hear the music from my Iphone. WHY???? Had this system blown my speakers for this, I seriously would raise hell until they bought me new speakers.

I just don't get why you would even consider installing so many stupid functions that make the unit THAT OBNOXIOUS, AND HARDER TO USE. Just on the fact of not being able to use the DVD player while driving was enough for me to remove this shitty system and return it for something else.

Waste of my time and money. MOST OBNOXIOUS HEAD UNIT EVER!! Had to pay someone to re-install another unit.

GPS Could Be Improved

One area I forgot in my review was the GPS. It does have a few deficiencies compared to my trusty Garmin.
1. Chooses long routes sometimes.
2. Does not announce street names. Really wish they would fix this one!
3. Slow to startup.
4. When I reach my destination and shutoff the truck, upon restarting it reloads the last destination, so it keeps trying to get you to turn around and go back. Strange!

This is all with the latest updates. Hopefully some updates in the future will resolve the issues.

Great Unit

Easy install and after performing the updates to the nav to add spoken street names made it an ever better unit.
GPS is very accurate!
Can't comment on durability since I've only had it a month, but I don't foresee any issues.

Great radio, super good price

I ordered the Jensen radio, price was great, the wiring adapter harness was perfect, easy to wire, easy to install, took about 30 to 40 minutes to install. The only problem I had was that when I tried to use the blue tooth with my I-Phone, I could not get it to work, the back up system didn't come with the back up camera, had to order it, once I received the camera, it works really great, I would recommend Sonic Electronic produce to and have recommended there service to all of my friends. I have nothing but good feelings for there service and delivery time. Thanks for your service.

I LOVE THIS RADIO. After reading some of the review i was a little worried about buying this unit. Some people have talked about how slow it is. And knowing that it is on the lower end of the price scale made me worry also. Well, I bought one and couldn't be an happier! As a matter of fact, I bought two. Installed one in my wife's car and one in my truck. The GPS is AWESOME. I have yet to have a slow start up. The GPS keeps up with the car very nicely and It has a lot of little features that my loves. I would defiantly recommend this to anyone.

Way worth the money.

It has many features you would expect to fine on top of the line units. I have used it for a couple months now with no problems. I use it in my two car, I am a RV transporter, GPS works great. I have purchased two units through Sonic, and will continue to buy my car audio through them. Good products at a good price.

Jensen VX 7020 is a great value!

I recently purchased this for my 2011 F250. Out of the box, it was very easy to understand the directions for the install to the programming of the unit. I want to address some of the negatives I read, since it was quite obvious people do not take the time to read the instructions. Volume at start up, simply set the volume prior to turning off engine, then hold the volume knob in for a few seconds until 2 beeps are heard, it is now set to that volume. People say you need to wait for boot up to use the camera, not true, put the car in reverse while its loading and the camera still comes on. This does have turn by turn directions, set via the settings in nav screen.
I have a iphone 6s and it works great via Bluetooth. The touchscreen is nice and easy to use. The IGO maps are the best I have ever used(compared to tomtom or garmin) the install was easy with one exception on the back up camera. my 2011 f250 reverse light hook up did not work(apparently Ford has maxed out their current draw on that circuit), after hooking mine up, after several days of use the signal was lost, I had to hook up the code reader to my truck and manually reset this to get it to work again(no camera signal and reverse lights went out, fuse was good). Found this issue online as well, so I then hooked it up to my trailer reverse wire(grey with brown stripe wire, pin 7) and it has worked for weeks now. All in all everything worked good.

pros: ease of use, excellent Maps, quality for value is exceptional.
cons: Only one is the 15 seconds of boot up every time you hope in the vehicle.

best bang for your buck, hands down

My wife has been wanting a headunit with aux /handsfree calling. This unit has it all. Most other units with built in gps, hands free calling, bluetooth, dvd, mp3 etc are over 700.00. I never installed anything like this before but after Best Buy quoted 105.00 to install, i figured i'd check it out. While checking the wiring diagram, with my wire cutters/strippers and crimpers it was a piece of cake. Also watched a video about bypassing the parking brake so you can watch dvds without the parking brake engaged. Very simple, just ground the pink wire to chassis.

Good deal on a great GPS / stereo system

The website was easy to navigate and selected the correct GPS system for my 2004 Pilot. The correct wiring harness and vanity face plate kit was also correctly suggested based on the make and model of my vehicle. Installation took about 3 hours start to finish. Selecting a GPS location takes a bit getting used. However, once you destination is selected the directions are accurate. Good stereo sound quality and good blue tooth hands free calling.

Great value for what you get! However, slow to initialize upon each startup, brand new Pioneer 6.5" are muddy under medium to high volume. Great unit with a limited budget, but I really don't think it's the best available.

not bad but not great

I bought this from sonic a few months ago... THE GOOD.. it arrived on time and in great shape, and it was easy to put in my 02 crown vic. this unit is easy to set up and navigate. it plays DVDs ,CDs and any Bluetooth stuff just fine. THE BAD...it is slow to come on and slow to switch from one screen to another, the clock will not stay set on the correct time (clock in the nav screen is fine). this unit is really bright even set on night/dark mode. they also want you to pay to update the maps. over all I am happy with it , but will probably put a different one in my next car.

I love this stereo. It has almost every feature you can get in a car stereo and it's reasonably priced. I shopped around for a system like this one but could not find the complete package like this one anywhere else. I would definitely recommend it.

Fit well in the dash actually a little smaller than stock. For the money you can't beat this unit. It had all the features of a high end unit at a much lower price.very e say go install. Paired with both our phones very easy quality of calls are good, I placed the mic by the rear view mirror. Sound quality is better than the stock pioneer radio. Louder than stock also. Navigation works great. I located the antenna on a metal bracket inside the dash it has a magnetic base. Just stock it on. I haven't lost the signal yet been about 3 weeks so far. It displays your speed and tells you when you are speeding. It shows the exits on the highways just as the actual signs do so you know what lane to be in. USB input works with my iPod let's you control in from the radio. Cd and DVD work great they haven't skipped even over ruff roads. I also installed a rear view camera. Works great has the reversible feature built in if you want to use it as a dash cam also has variable lighting built in. You can choose any color for the display. Things I haven't used are the steering wheel controls,and the satellite radio so can't comment on any of them. Things I like has a nice volume control knob. Touch screen works great. Turns off music while giving directions or on phones. Things I don't like. It takes some time for it to turn on. So if you like to jump in the car and go the reverse camera isn't always ready. Takes around 15 seconds. It dimmes when I turn on my lights but still bright. You can change that in the settings but than it's not bright enough for the daytime. Both of these i can live with not to bad just wanted people to know about them overall I love it much Better than stock couldn't be happier with my new radio. Have to give props to sonic ele. Had the lowest price I could find. They included the wiring harness and adaptor for my car fit great made it easy to install and they shipped it out super fast. I recieved it before the date promised and it was packaged very well.

Jensen VX7020 is a great unit.

This is a nice unit. The only real problems I've had with this unit is the FM reception is terrible (and yes I have the antenna correctly connected). Also, the clock won't keep time and I still haven't been able to figure out why - I'm thinking it might be some buried setting.
And I wish I could set a different brightness for night viewing. The setting allows 5 or 6 different brightness, but only during the day. At night with the lights turned on, it goes to a preset setting (dimmer than the two brightest settings), but cannot be adjusted. I wish the unit would save a separate brightness setting for nighttime viewing.

Decent sound quality, easy of use and price makes this a top choice for budget minded buyers. Only complaint is the slow load up time when turning on. The navigation is on point as well. If you can not afford the high end units I highly recommend the Jensen!

this is a good unit, we have am/fm, cd/dvd and gps. being old fashioned, these are the important things to us, we are not high tech or it would also give us more. a good uddate unit and would buy again and may do so.

Really nice Radio

Install instructions pretty forward until comes to using the harness to radio wiring,(there is not one made to wire RAM truck with out Steering Wheel Controls). So ignore the SWC wires, and wire radio to extra wiring harness ((except for the ACC Radio Wire; this has to be pigtailed into nearest ACC wire. Usually, the hot{when key is on} acc wire leading to auxiliary power outlet) I used 12-14 inch 20ga wire soldiered to radio wire and used splice connector to connect to Truck Accessory Wire.
Everything is comes on and works, most controls can be figured out with out online manual, but the down loads were easy.

GPS Why is Canada not loaded as part of the package like most countries?

Just purchase a "JensonVX7020 Multimedia Receiver" The unit is EXCELLENT as is the service and shipping.
The GPS comes loaded with many, many countries but Canada is NOT INCLUDED, must be purchased separatly and that is very disturbing. Also the process to load the extra Canada information is far from easy and operating instructions are not included.
Again, the unit is impressive as was the purchasing and shipping process. Canada on the GPS package should be included.

Overall, this is a good unit that can make most functions happen easily.

There are a couple problems with the clearance of the gps connector and antenna connections. In my 04 Titan, they hit the crossbar that is behind the head unit. I chose to modify my crossbar to fit, but this would probably be show-stopper for anyone else. The radio head has nowhere to move to make the double din kit work from the recommended Scosche face without modification.
I still have to hook up my backup camera and finish the wire for disc, so hopefully I can update.

Love this head unit

I received it in record time. Thanks sonic, it was just what I was looking for. Really nice unit for the money. It fit great in my 2004 Scion xB with the adapter that was supplied. The wiring was clearly marked and it plugged directly into my factory harness, with the included adapter. Only wires I had to splice into was the reverse lights. Directions say you need to hook it up to your parking brake, but I did some research and found out it just needs to be grounded. For the first week everything worked great. Than tit STOPPED WORKING. Your tech department did everything they could to help me. Even offered to upgrade it to a different unit. But unfortunately that was also out of stock. They gave me the phone number for factory service. Or store credit. I chose factory service. Sent it in they looked at it and said it had water damage. So it's not in warranty.I am the only one who drove the car and I know I didn't spill anything on it. A don't have a sun roof and I didn't leave the windows opened. I talked to there tech he couldn't have been any nicer. He said he would talk to corporate about it
Good news they fixed it for me. It is really rare these days to have a company stand behind there products. Anyway just finished reinstalling it and everything is working great. It has way more power than my factory pioneer unit. The touch screen is great works all the time. The picture quality of the screen is nice. Navigation works great. I installed the antenna inside my dashboard. I made sure that it wasn't behind any metal. Its magnetic so just stuck it on. I went on vacation 2000 miles and it only lost signal a few times, it doesn't speak the street names just tells you when to turn. When your on the hi way it shows what the exits look like so you know that lane to get in. I really like that feature.The screen can be hard to see in bright light. It takes longer to turn on than the factory unit, but the reverse camera turns on faster. That's about the only thing I don't like. The DVD ,cd handle bumps pretty good, has to be really bad for it to skip. My iPod hooked up to it lets you control it using the radio controls. The mic is clear, with the windows up you can't tell I am using it, I mounted it on the rear view mirror. Very easy to sink up phones. Lots of colors to choose from of use custom ones. I really like it, hope I don't have any more trouble with it. Because of the issue I had I am giving it a low durability rating. John

got this radio and took it to best buy to be professionally installed into my 2012 toyota yaris. looks great and all features work amazing except the radio. not really a big deal seeing as though I was tired of hearing the radio on my old factory head unit but just thought I would at least get that basic feature. otherwise works well.
