Great Value!
It is amazing how cheap quality decks are these days. Even better, is that this 200 dollar deck pretty much destroys my last 2 decks in features and sound quality that cost like 500 bucks at the time.
Pros
- Easy navigation
- Features
The ones it has are good. They don't load it with a bunch of crap your not going to use just so they can market it as having more features.
- SQ
- Nice EQ customization
- Nice display and navigation through folders and songs on USB flash drives
Cons
- Red led light does not blend in well with the deck
- Poor lcd
I bought this as I did not want a fancy display though the name scrolling has some obvious ghosting which I find annoying. An option to disable scrolling as well as alternate the text would have been nice.
- USB is hit or miss
I wanted plug and play USB, which for the most part it is, though I sometimes have to keep reinserting the flash drive a few times until the deck to properly reads from it. This only is an issue when plugging it in. Once it is read it works fine the entire time it stays plugged in.
It may work better with the software, but I will not have anything to do with crapware on my computer. I wanted pure drag and drop and plug and play (on both ends), and ease of use, and except for the issue above, that is what you can expect with using a flash drive for music instead of discs.
Overall, this deck is awesome. I only described the cons in detail in case there is a chance someone from Kenwood reads this and can fix later on down the road.
If you are reading this because you are thinking of ditching CD's and migrating to USB flash drives instead, DO IT. CD's scratch and skip and digging through disk binders is a pain that we be a thing of the past. Flash drives are dirt cheap,~10 bucks for a 4 gig, which can hold roughly 40 albums in mp3. Get a 16 gig drive and you can load it with a lot of various music for when you feel like a genre change.

I love this head unit
The best parts of this head unit are the 4 volt pre amp out puts and bluetooth. The BT works great for phone calls but it does have the best sound for music. Overall if you don't use the BT for music it is eas ily the the best head unit for the price!

Nice Reciever
I find this receiver to be about a 7 out of 10. There is great sound quality, it is definatly much better than any stock radio. There are also many fine adjustments that can be made so the music can fit your style, it also has a very simple setup. It is very easy to control and navigate. The only disadvantage of this receiver is that the screen gets kind of fuzzy when the name of the song scrolls across the screen. It gets quite annoying and really makes it hard to read sometimes. Other than that great head unit.

- Excellent Sound Staging features
- Ease of BT phone pairing

Cons:
- The USB source worked half the time. says "reading" but wouldnt work. Had to reset unit to get USB working again.
- Quality of BT call was not too decent even after adjusting Mic Gains and Echo reduction levels

Great sonund at a great price
I was looking for a new headunit for my car to go along with my new speakers and sub. I found this head unit on other websites for almost 100 more dollars. I found this website and saw they had the same products but almost at half the price. I couldn't be happier at my purchase and will be purchasing a new amp in a couple of weeks. This site is amazing and I wish I found it a long time ago.

awsome product
I loved this radio and the this company for the great price and timely shipping I shopped around for this particular radio and saved about 100$ buying here. I have since traded the truck and will be looking for this in the future for my new truck.

Nice Unit
I got this to replace a JVC AVX44 and im definitely impressed with the sound quality improvement. There a few things that could be improved though.
Pros: OUTSTANDING sound quality, very noticeably different and improved over my previous head unit. Tons of audio adjustments, Highway sound, Supreme Sound, not a bad parametric EQ either, time correction etc. Ipod interface is pretty nice, loads flash drives quickly, menus are easy to navigate and it looks awesome in my car.
Cons: When using a flash drive there is no Random All setting, only for each folder. So if you have a bunch of subfolders it wont shuffle through all the folders, only the one you have selected. There is a skip forward button on the unit for USB but no backwards! Granted its not hard to go into the menu and select a folder but is it really that difficult to have that function on the unti?
I havent used the bluetooth yet but the menus are easy to navigate. Over all i would definitely recommend this unit. The music sounds so much crisper and detailed its like hearing songs for the first time all over again. The sound quality easily makes up for the minor drawbacks.

Great Head Unit
I just bought this a few weeks ago and i have to say the best i have ever seen. The crossover for the subs is perfect. The display is bright and should never have problems reading it. The bluetooth is great when making calls... as soon as u turn on ur car and the HU comes on it downloads ur phone book to it for use of voice dialing and u can scroll thru... By far the best HU i have seen that didnt have a DVD player.
