good things do come in small packages

This is a great little amp. I love it. Nicely made, good quality. Right now it is powering a 10" subwoofer. I bought this one because I have the XR-4S and wanted to be able to stack them. Nice amp, if you need small mono amp, check this one out. Compares quite favorably to the Alpine PDX and the other compact class D from Kicker and JL Audio.

Nice Amp. Could use a little work

The Kenwood eXcelon XR-1S is a little amp. I just recently pulled this amp out and installed a Jl Audio 500/1v2 slash amp for my 10 w7 and I must say, the Kenwood hits harder. One thing i do not like about the Kenwood is that it deletes some of the mids and highs in the sub which is very strange to Not hear. It is definitely louder than the JL amp but lacks some potency. Fan is very nice to have as well for those hot days.

Still a very good Quality amp.

This has been a great amp. I used it behind a seat in a lotus elise and it has worked great.

PERFECT SOUND PERFECT QUALITY

I got a 2010 Impala with eXcelon DNX7140 Double Din with this amp powering their eXcelon XW1224 sub. Its so accurate n still gets real real deep. No need for 2 unless bass junkie. They are matched at 600 watts rms. Match made in heaven.

AWSOME AMP

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AMP! I have it pushing two mtx thunderthin 10's with a power rating of 300 watts rms per sub and the amp has power to spare. The amp is very compact and looks great....This amp is pushing every bit of the 700rms at 2ohm. The power is very clean and it has a built in fan that works great to control the heat....I have never seen an amp so compact push so much power....Spend the extra money and you WILL NOT BE DISSAPPOINTED! Kenwood's excelon series stuff is always top notch and this amp proves it!
