I have this hooked up to a Hifonics 1100.1 d Brutus amp pushing 1000 rms and it beats the block hard!! Hits incredible lows and all around great sound! Great price and fast shipping sonic is the best!!!!

Amazing Subwoofer

Has a very good feel and structure very solid. Large cone area much better than average stitching and craftsmanship. Mine sounded amazing squeezed the trunk of a VW Golf but you will be heard, Make sure you give it accurate power because of that new motor rating wattage requirements I had mine going for 7 months at around 1200 watts and finally the voice coil was shot.

Amazing Deal! So Far So Good

I bought this sub to install in a friend's car. I bought it with the free ported sub box deal for a fantastic price (Although it didnt fit in the box so I had to sand it down by about 1/2") Regardless this thing suggests about 900 Watts RMS in a ported box (I ran it off of a Rockford Fosgate 750-1D). Sound clarity is amazing and it gets some seriously crushing lows. Its almost as loud as my 2 15" Kicker CVR's in just one woofer! Overall great sub, i would definitely recommend it!

I put on of these 15's in a ported box hooked up to a Hifonics 1000 watt RMS amp and WOW! I have used Sounstream, JL, FI Audio, Ascendant Audio, and a bunch others and this is right up at the top. You will not find a better deal anywhere, period.

Wow is all i can say this thing is a monster, best bang for your buck (pun intended). I have this running on a my audio 1800 watt amp at 1 ohm and it slams.

loud sub

i bought this sub with a ground shaker box and a cerwin vega stroker 1,000 watt amp. this sub sounds amazing and is really loud. it shakes my whole car and flexes my headliner alot. if you want a great sub and have awsome sound quality buy this sub.

Best sub I've had

I have this sub running at 1 ohm on a BRX1100.1D mono block

Sub says it's rated at 850-1000 watts rms
But nvx undertakes their speakers so in sure it can handle more cuz mine BANGS and no clipping or distortion
ALSO I have it on a ported box which this sub recommends using a ported/vented box

NVX VCW152 - 5 star

Because of budget issues it will take a very long time to finish my orders & I intend to order every item before beginning the install so I don't have to redo anything, hopefully. The NVX VCW152 is everything as described at sonic and at a extremely good value, especially with a free tuned box. It does have a heavy triple stacked magnet with a rubber magnet wrap as in most high grade subwoofers. To leave this review I have to guess on durability. I give it a 4 star only because there is no re cone kit but for the price I'm not complaining. I'd avoid cheaper subs that hide the magnet.

I Would like to start off by saying for it being 1700 watts RMS @1 ohm I would of thought it would be a decent size amp but it’s actually really small in a good way u can pretty much fit it anywhere. I have it pushing 1 12 inch NVX thats 1000 watts RMS and it bumps hard...would recommend this to anyone. Great product thanks sonic electronix.

NVX17001

This replace an Audiopipe amp which was nice but feel distorted in high volume. I took a chance based on what the service adviser told me in what I was looking for. The delivery process is fast being in New York. one day next for free!!!! I hooked it up and notice it is a clean signal. It gives my 12's a nice boom and it is compact, sleek ,and not bad for the money. Would buy again.

small and big power

first, there is a fan, it makes noise. I can hear it when I am just tuning and the truck is not running. I only hear it at 6 or below and never listen at that level. This is the same size a 1 jbl gtx500 and thinner! nice! power and ground are small, a minor inconvenience but a power dist block was in place, so easy enough. big power, nice clean sound and definitely does close to what it says. I had a pair of JBL gtx 500 and they really make good power but this amp hits harder and I believe a little cleaner sound. better start and stop to the bass notes. makes the "feels" a little crisper. solid amp for the money and its size makes it a long timekeeper. arc audio 300.4 for the fronts if anything changes I will update.

Sounded ok and powered 2 NVX 10s but the 4 ga speaker outputs are completely unnecessary. Very silly design. But the rest of the amp is so sharp and will look great with your setup.

So far so good, I still have to make adjustments but the few adjustments I've made so far have surpassed my old Kenwood mono amp. Fan isn't that loud but it does warm up a bit more than my Kenwood. Nonetheless a great amp, takes up less space and can take what my Kenwood couldn't lol.

Strong amp

Im only running it at 2 ohm, but its enough to overheat my alpine type r. Plenty of power in a space virtually the same size as my old rockford r500. However, I havent been able to get the bass knob to work so i can turn down the bass when not wanted. If I can get that figured out this will be a 5 star amp

Turn on thump

Great power for such a small amp. I’m running a JL Audio Stealthbox with 2 TW3-12’s and it runs them perfectly. The only problem is the turn on thump is very annoying. I’ve switched the amp out with 3 different amps that I have and the NVX is the only one that gives a thump when turning on. That kind of rules out any wiring issues. Great for the price, but that thump is annoying and can damage speakers.

I will say the build quality of amp doesn't look cheap at all.. I stand by NVX all the way! Ive been buying they're products for 7 years now and never had a complaint.. This is a really amazing amp especially for it's size. My only complaints are it thumps more than I like when it turns on, and it would really be nice if it included reducers or bushing to use smaller speaker wire. I can't imagine a lot of people using 4 gauge speaker wire.

TO HELP THOSE WITH THE THUMP

Recommend for the sheet power in a small size. It's awesome for that much power to be able to be mounted virtually anywhere. To reduce the "thump" that is commonly expressed I simply bought a volt-i-meter , not a voltmeter....a volt-i-meter. That's with an "I" what it does is turns on the electrical devices with a soft start ONE AT A TIME as opposed to all at once and it helped with the thump not being near as noticable. I felt like a five star product should receive five star ratings and not be docked for a fixable solution. Thanks.

I have been a JL and Rockford guy for years.

This amp puts out power! It is Amperage hungry. Almost double of the two I mentioned to create crazy levels of power. the cost of the alternator and the amp is still less then one of the amps from from my previous brands on my new truck.

It’s not even a question if I’ll do it again! NVX amp + HO Alternator is a better value then Rockford/JL amp + HO alternator.

Best triple stacked magnets

This 20mm Xmax triple-stacked magnets 4ohm beast from Sonic made by NVX-VCW154 subwoofers are better than my Memphis M3 15's hands down, better priced also, more rmsw and it's proven to hold it's own against 300oz magnet @195oz this motor can handle 1,500 rms watts easily for around $200 worth every penny, I had to buy another one so not even 4 month later! Wish it had 8gauge inserts, little small, but still 100% love!

Simply Awesome Bass!

I just have to say that I am very impressed with this sub. I've been running it for about 3 weeks now and it sounds better every time i listen to it. This hits harder with better quality than any other subs i have owned for less money. It is also very efficient.

Only heads up I would give is that while all the manuals and info I could find online recommend a 2.5 cuft box tuned to 33 Hz, the actual manual that came with it recommends a 3 cuft box tuned to 34 Hz. It sounded good in 2.5 but it sounds amazing in 3 with some poly-fil. Not a detractor just something to keep in mind while looking at your available box space.

This thing pounds!!

Just got this sub recently. Its on a Rockford R1200 amp in a custom enclosure that's to NVX optimal specs. 2.75cu ft ported tuned to 32hz. I made it out if 3/4" Birch with a 1.5" baffle. I tuned the amp with an oscilloscope using a -7.5db 40hz tone. This single sub is ignorant loud. I'll say it again. Ignorant loud. Sounds absolutely great! Very pleased.

5/8/16. First I like to say sonic gave me an excellent deal on this sub, thanks sonic. OK not sure if sub break in is a myth or not but I went easy on mine for 2 weeks, at 4 ohms around 400 watts. Its sounded great, hit harder then my 12 cerwin Vega vmax did at 2 ohms around 600 watts. After break in I hooked it up at 1 ohm around 800 watts, let me tell you this sub slams. It made my rear view mirror fall off after a couple songs, lol. Just what I wanted, ridiculous, over the top bass that has people saying, "why". I'm sold on nvx. Im only running 1 sub because this thing needs lots of power and I didn't want to get all crazy with my electrical system. 1 is all I need or can handle because it pounds. Overall I'm extremely satisfied with this sub. Only had it for a couple weeks so can't talk about durability but it seems very well made

Wow what can I say, these things for the money are hands down some of the best budget gems out there. A wall of these can choke you out, moving so much air. I would highly recommend these to anyone on a small budget that still wants to get loud and sound decent doing it. Pro’s : high DB’s Price, Looks I like the look especially inverted you want know it ain’t a $500 dollar sub. Cons: only sound quality but it’s not a sq sub per day although it does sound decenct.

This thing is impressive even at first sight! Great value for the price especially at the sale price of $160... It's very impressive sounds great even new n tight it should sound exceptional once the suspension breaks in. It was this or a Soundstream T5 but I just had a feeling it was better than the T5 plus the T5 was rated at 1300rms but I assumed the VC was more accurately rated 1000 vs many an inflated T5s rating. Yes that logo on the T5 almost got me an truthfully if the T5 had a big beautiful motor hanging out I'd probably got it but that cheesy plastic cover on the motor was a huge turn-off, not only does look awful just gave the sense of cheapness that I couldn't shake so I think the VC was better choice. I'd say the VSW is maybe a better choice for awsome potentially better SQ with less power level requirements for music like rock or r&b but bigger power needs for rap the VC is the only way to go.

I’m pretty impressed with this. Got it wired down to 1 ohm and with a hifonics Brutus. let me tell ya this thing hits pretty hard. Got a 3 cubic ft box L ported tuned to 32 hz. I think a bigger box would make it a bit more happy. But it Hits the highs really well and the lows are great. But in the end ya get what you pay for it’s a cheaper sub and can’t expect a ton outa it. I deff like my earthquake subzero 12in better. Sounded way better and moved a ton more air. But it was also twice the price. If your looking for a decent sub for a cheaper price give it a shot. I’m not disappointed in it. Deff worth the money.

Great power at great price.

I have had this amplifier for 3 years now. I have a ram 1500 and the amp is mounted on the back wall of the truck behind the factory “carpet”. It puts out clean power with 0 issues and never even breaks a sweat. The only issue I have is that the fan, only at low volume, is fairly loud. Also, while playing sound quality tracks, it is very noticeable. To the point now where I am looking at other options. If you have this in the trunk of your car, the best you can buy at this price but, if it is under your seat or in the cabin, you may want to look elsewhere.

When I first received this amplifier I thought to myself "there's no way this thing is going to push 2 10's", boy was I wrong. Don't let the size fool you, this thing pushes my 2 10" NVX subs to the max and sounds good doing it. Very satisfied with this product.
