Unbelievable deal
Grabbed one of these for a budget install and it's been great. I've got it in a 2.75cube box tuned to 33-34hz on only about 800w and it's loud in my hatch!
RM review
Only had it two days but here are my thoughts:
Cosmetic - 9/10 - looks like its been reconed. Excess glue around the dusk cap. It's not bad but if you look for it u see it. (its clear glue) Magnet on the back labels the woofer as an RM. But the basket, magnet, cone, surround, all look like new. If I added a new next to the RM, I doubt anyone would notice from the cone side.
Price - 10/10 - A driver with these stats at this price is almost impossible to beat. The SD X XMAX to $$$ ratio is very nice.
Sound - don't want to rate it just yet. It's very very stiff. I've read other reviews that it will loosen up and sound louder/deeper after the break-in and suspect that's true. Sub 40hz seems to struggle on the 1st hour of play but I am thinking this will get better, louder, and sound less compressed over time.
Loud - I think this driver is pretty efficient in small-ish port/sealed boxes. I can say this more because I've modeled it (winisd) but can confirm so after listening to it. I have it in a 2cuft net enclosure with PR tuned to 31hz. Not ideal but will see how this works out long term. DB wise its very loud. SQ wise will see. If it doesn't loosen up on the bottom end I may just switch to 2 cubes sealed instead.
Quality/Durability - It looks good it feels solid but can't say as I haven't had it long enough yet. I'm running it on 1000RMS. If I blow it, I'll probably just spend some more $$$ and go with a FI SSD15 instead.
