Fits in 2013 Kia Optima

Just finished installing them in my 2013 kia optima currently I am running them active through a deh80prs head unit and its amplified with RF t-600-4 so its getting about 115W rms at 4 ohms.

From listening to them for only short period so far; I can really tell the have a great roll off between the midbass and subbass.i have them crossed at 50hz with 12db slope. still haven't broke them in but I could tell the are going to improve the sq in my current set up.

My dislike so far is that it didn't come with any self tapping screws so I was fumbling a little bit and couldn't drive down to the store with my car door dismantled so I had to drill out the holes so it would fit factory screws.

Also FYI, this speaker does not fit in the The Install Bay VXT65 speaker baffle because basket on speaker is too large

In future models of NVX speakers I would like to see more mounting options the four around the baffle limits the possibilities in other cars.

THE SUPER MAN OF MID-BASS DRIVERS!!!

I own a pair of these NVX Mid-bass drivers and X-series tweeters and all I ever tell anyone is, " yo, you wanna check out my system?, or "lets hear it on my system"! These drivers replaced my Focal 165VB and IM GLAD they did! They play much loader and have much more mid-bass!

BEWARE, these mid-bass drivers are large and in change, which makes the installation in some vehicle difficult, however these speakers are a great way to start building an "SQ" system!

Underrated speaker

The salesman recommended these to blend with my JL C5 tweeters. I am running them active off a PPI 900.5 amp. Rounding out the bottom end is a JL slim 10" sub. After installing them yesterday I can say I'm initially impressed. They are efficient and sound clean out of the box. They have an excellent attack and I can really feel the low end kick I've been wanting. I can't wait to see what they sound like after they break in. I am disappointed the salesman told me I would not have to cut my doors in my Ridgeline. Unfortunately after using a 3/4" spacer, I still had quite a bit of trimming to do.

Woah

Running 2 pairs of these in the doors of a 2012 Ridgeline. Active, 125W@2 ohms/pair. Crossed somewhere from 160Hz/6dB to 50Hz/24dB on the highpass, and from 2kHz/6dB lowpass, on up to 'no filter' for a natural rolloff, depending on tweeters and driver placement. I'm currently @ 63Hz/18dB, 3.2kHz/6dB, paired with Peerless OT19 tweets in sail pods and 2 Polk 12 inch subs.

Pros
This combo of tweeter/midbass is stunning and produces sparkling clarity, precision, and no fatigue. Wide stereo image and will shake your mirrors if you cross them low. I could get away with no subs if I wasn't a basshead. You can hear the mids outside my vehicle with all the windows rolled up and treated doors, they are that loud and clear!

Cons
These are big and deep speakers, not a drop-in experience. Also, this driver is a rebrand of a less-expensive DIY driver available elsewhere without grilles, screws, or spring terminals, so if you don't need that stuff... but I digress. I am curious to see how the cone material holds up in a car door environment.

Superb

Incredible build quality. I bought these because they came highly recommended and I didn't want to spend a fortune on speakers. These replaced a set of Polk Audio db6501 components and I can say that they are a noticeable improvement. They required very little EQ to sound their best. They also play very smooth, clean and clear up past 4Khz, even though I don't run them that high. I gained a ton of mid bass as well. I would highly recommend these.

Great Mid's

Love these mid range speakers. They have good mid bass and are very clear. Powering them with the NVX 800 Amp and they can handle the power. Higher recommend.

cost more , get more

These drivers are pretty expensive imo, but they perform way better than any coaxial speaker. If you want a mid bass that actually thumps pick these up. Only use with an amp. Awesome quality , big magnet, I'm happy
