One of the best purchases I've ever made
I can't believe they still make these. I bought mine back in 1995. It's been an excellent unit the entire time. If set up properly, you'll be amazed at how good your stereo sounds. I've even seen IASCA finalists using them. It can make an average set-up sound very good & a great set-up sound incredible. This is one of the few things that I haven't felt the need to change in my system in over 17 years. What's kind of funny is that these days, this could be considered your head unit & you could just run this to your mp3 player.
Pros:
-1 day memory back-up (if you disconnect battery you don't have to reset everything)
-Time alignment
-Variable & Steep crossover slopes
-31 Band crossover
-Auto EQ
Cons:
-Minimal number of custom presets allowed (4)
-Rather poor menu implementation & naviagation (still feels like a '90s menu)
-The display is a bit weak as the other reviewer noted.
-Low volt outputs (pretty sure it's 500mv from memory)

pioneer deq9200
I love my pioneer deq 9200 the only thing i dont like is the illumination is not bright enough for sunny days but at night you can see it just fine. This is the best EQ/Sound Processor you can buy for the price. Pioneer still sells this item for $500 but i found it at sonicelectronix for way cheaper so Big Ups To SONICELETRONIX
