Faithful Pioneer Enthusiast

The following review is for a previous version (GM-A3602).

Always been faithful to Pioneer auto audio, due to the great sound results I had though many years and systems I installed in my vehicles. This amp is one of two I just installed in my GMC Sierra pickup truck to replace the crappy factory Bose system. The results, as always, are great sound definition and that extra punch of power I always liked about Pioneer amps. My truck sounds like a concert hall now...

Just what I needed

Purchased this to give my Alpine Type S components the power they required. Still a little bit short of their true potential, but way cleaner than they were off of the head unit. Can't beat it for the price.

Great Value!!!

This little amp is strong, you do get what you pay for which is only around 190 watts but it's clear power and not underrated. Can run it 2 hrs straight not even close to being hot, dependable.

Lots of clean power

The following review is for a previous version (GM-A3602).

This amp gives lots of clean power on demand. Pushing a small 8" open air sub in the rear deck and sounds great. Perfect match for the application. Very good choice.

Pioneer GM-A3702

I bought this amp to run one 12" Infinity Subwoofer and I have to say that it works great. The amp does get pretty hot, but it has never cut out on me. I would definitely recommend this amplifier for a small system setup.

Small and perfect

The following review is for a previous version (GM-A3602).

I have a 12" sub and 2 6.5" speakers. I chose to use the 6.5's in my 95 isuzu rodeo as little subs instead of the 12" to save on space. The speakers are rated at 50 watts rms so this amp is perfect for them. My 95 rodeo has 4 4" speakers so there's very little bass coming out of them and I do mean very little. By this amp putting out 10 more rms watts than the speakers are rated, it helps the amp run cooler because the gain is set arount 2-3v whitch is low. I just wanted to add a little bass to balance the sound out. This is probably the most cost efficient and reliable amp you will find within this price range.

Perfect little amp for my setup. I would recommend this amp to anybody that wants to add a little clarity or bass to a small setup.

great amp

The following review is for a previous version (GM-3500T).

Got this amp awhile ago and its still running great. Works very well with my single 10" audiobahn sub. Clean sound and pretty powerful for the size.

Great amp

The following review is for a previous version (GM-3500T).

This amp is really great for the price. It doesn't get very warm at all, even when playing music really loudly. I have this hooked up to a pair of Rockford Fosgate P1692s and it sounds really really great. As far as I can tell, the only unwanted noise coming out of this amp is from my iPhone's mediocre headphone jack. This amp has really clean output. I haven't come across any problems with it so far. The terminals are pretty easy to use. I didn't have to adjust the gain at all for my use. Since this is a CEA compliant amp, you get exactly what you pay for. It is quite loud, although I could foresee wanting a more powerful amp. I have not tried the bridging feature.

Big sound in a small package!

The following review is for a previous version (GM-3400T).

I have been using the same amps and same components since 2003. Moved them from car to car, until finally one channel on my Lanzar amp started to go out intermittently. I have been strapped for cash, so finding a good amp at a great price was key.
This amp looked great on paper, small foot print, more than adequate power, great sound quality specs. I went ahead and ordered it.
When it came in I placed it side by side with my Lanzar amp, it was smaller in all dimensions. As soon as I plugged it in I could hear the difference. I was able to go to much higher volumes with much cleaner sound through a set of Infinity reference 6.5 inch components that are 6 years old.
I am extremely pleased with this amp, and look forward to buying its big brother when I can afford it!

Economic Efficiency

The following review is for a previous version (GM-A3602).

If you're looking for a little bump in the trunk, and don't want to spend a lot of money, get this amp. It's pretty simple, just a 2-channel amp. I have it bridged powering an old school pioneer free air sub, and it hits pretty nice. Don't expect it to rattle windows, or blow your hair back though, bridged it puts out about 160 watts. Overall, it works for me.

Good Amp

The following review is for a previous version (GM-3400T).

I've had this amp for 2 years and it's a good amp. I had it hook up bridged and it push my Rockford P1 pretty good. The bass was loud and clean, only thing is at 2 ohm the amp got a little hot but, didn't cut off.

Awesome for its size

The following review is for a previous version (GM-3400T).

I knew it was a small amp, but it is much smaller in person than I thought it would be. Not a bad thing at all though... Great power and easy to install even with a stock stereo in the dash.

I love this amp. I'm using it with a Pioneer Premier 8" shallow mount sub-woofer and it works excellently. It's easy to install and very reliable.

Decent Amp

The following review is for a previous version (GM-A3602).

I bought this to pair with my Pioneer TS-W254R Sub, and the Belva MDFS10 sealed sub box. Didn't want huge subs with a huge amp. It puts out pretty well. I was surprised at how well it can hit. I was actually skeptical about buying the amp + sub because of some review of them messing up.

The only problem that I've had is that the amp cut off on a 100+ degree day, twice. It cut right back on after a minute. It never happened again. The amp is located in my trunk, so I can believe that it got too hot on a really hot day.

Good bang for your buck

The following review is for a previous version (GM-A3602).

I bought two of these. Building a clean and clear system for my truck, and loved the size of them. They sound great, look nice, and they're small. Not huge power, of course, but I wasn't looking for big booming bass. One is bridged running my 10" Boston sub, and the other runs my rear speakers, both are doing so nicely. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for good sound at a good price. 🙂

Pioneer GM-3400T

The following review is for a previous version (GM-3400T).

I have purchased several Pioneer amps and been very pleased with them. This particular amp has powered 6x9s and a set of 6.5 inch components in 2 different vehicles. While I am not enough an audiophile to state how great it sounds, it did make a big difference compared to running off the head unit in allowing more volume before distortion.

This amp is currently not in a car of mine at the moment, as vehicles have changed, but I am ready to put it to use should I be able to.

The only complaint is perhaps that it is a bit bulky considering how small D class amps are becoming, however this is not a functional issue and only a fitment issue in limited circumstances.
