Not disappointed

I like the narrow foot print of the amp, it allows me to use two in a space that i originally could only fit one amp in. As for the power? The amp plays well and the power is def somewere around 2000 watts. The only issue i have is plastic mounting feet. They are very week and will snap off. Be careful when installing it.

worth every penny

Bought it refurbished, came with everything except the sheet that shows exactly how much power it can push out at 1 ohm. I have 3 10" rockford fosgate woofers. Blew them today had everything hooked up for a week. Need some stronger subs gonna match them up with the amp, can't wait. Also, the subs blew. Had the amp turned up to maybe a level 2 so yeah THIS IS A SERIOUS AMP!!

POWER HOUSE.....

Love the amp. Size look... all of it... it has massive power with it, not the strongest ive ever owned but its top 3. For the $ its a great buy. It wont do 2400rms like its rated but will do 2000 - 2200 clean power no distortion. My favorite quality about the amp is the stealthy look and the small foot print for the amount of power you get. If your like me (2 batts in hatch, 7.3 cube box in hatch as well), then amp size kind of matters for mounting but the amp fits perfect. Only cons is im not big on the plastic mounting feet. BE CAREFUL because it's a "POWER JUNKY" but you got to think it takes power to make power.

POWER!!!!!

I bought two of these to push my Orion HCCA 10.2 subs.........I should have bought 15's!!!!!! These put out enough power with the gain half way up, if your concerned with refurbished get a squar trade warranty. But let me tell you I have been running these in the Arizona heat non stop and they have yet to stop, 1ohm all day long baby!!!!!!!!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!

I have been out of the car audio business for a lil while now, but I am truly glad to see Planet Audio is still doing its thing with the long Big Bang series amplifiers. This amp is amazing. For the price you cannot beat the power & performance of this monster. Just be sure your electrical is upgraded, because it does draw a lot of current. Pushes my 3 Kicker CVX 15's to the max!!!!! Not for use with cheap subwoofers; they wouldn't stand a chance.

great amp

lets start off with the facts 12VDC x 250A = 3000, that is the peak power of this amp, RMS is a DC equivalent of an AC rating, and it is 75% for practical purposes. this amp will do what it is rated to do. i paired it with a jbl w12gti mkII , so far they seem to go well together @ 3 ohms (taking roughly 1200watts). considering the sub is rated at 700 watts it speaks well on behalf of JBL. i do like the size, weight, build, and appearance of this amplifier. it has no on board fuse so u must fuse it externally, however it does have solid wire terminals that allow for more than 1/0 gauge (seems to be able to fit 2/0 maybe 3/0 if u really take care into placement). that being said u will need at least 1/0 gauge wire to run this amp, also consider beefing up your battery connections and your battery to chassis wire to about 2/0 to allow plenty of flow for all the existing electrical components, and this new one. I would also recommend using 8 guage speaker wire at minimum. Also as im sure most would recommend, buy another battery. and sorry for the long review but u will need at least a 90A alternator (if im not mistaken, which i could be, the rating on alternators is at idle(750-1000 rpm)) buy this amplifier , u will not regret it.

BB2400.1

I have 1 of these pushing 2 Kicker CVX 12's @ 2 ohms and it is all they want, definitely got power. I am running 1 ga. wire, 290 amp alternator, 2 batteries, & a 20 farad capacitor. You definitely need to have correct electrical or these amps will fry if pushed hard!!! I am also running a stinger digital volt gauge so i constantly know what my electrical is doing and not fry the amp. Have owned same setup for over 3 years with no problems ever.

AMAZING power for low price

I bought one of these amps refurbished, never really used anything but alpine or kicker in my car. Read up on this amp, even thought it is not cea-2006 certified it does pretty much what's advertised at each ohm load. I am running 2 alpine type X subs on this amp at 1ohm and I could NOT be any happier, with the right electrical and addition of batteries this amp can be a part of any SERIOUS system. Very impressed and most of all NOT broke after buying this amp which does ALL I need it to. Only thing though, the screws are VERY fragile and not very friendly to mount due to the design (curved).

Awesome amp for the money!

This amp is a very good buy for the price! I had a budget on my current build and this amp fit perfectly into that! I have never owned anything Planet Audio before this. I am very impressed with it so far, its only been hooked up for a few days but so far so good. I have four Q-power black mamba 15s running off of this @ 2 ohms, and it is very respectable. I just hit 145.6 decibels at a local comp and was very impressed. I love the remote gain knob, and the fact that it comes with a fuse and fuse box. The subsonic filter also helps out when you are trying to go low. As far as looks go, it looks very nice with no over the top goofy designs. I would reccomend this to anyone who cant afford the big boy brands!!

Disappointed

I bought this less than 2 months ago and already having problems with it. All wiring done properly with a constant 14.4 volts and mounted in open for good circulation of air but yet it still overheats and goes into protect and the fan only sometimes works. I bought assuming good quality and it has definitely strayed me from buying again.
