love it

I was having the hardest time deciding what amp and how many and then I saw this one. Price and what I wanted were perfect. I have two 10" jlw1v2-8 and two 8" for my mids and plus my highs. This amp is,perfect.

Great value

I picked this unit because it had great reviews and it seemed to be really nicely priced for a 5.1 amp. Upgraded my front and rear speakers in my truck and added a sub. Works, doesn't get hot and sounds great!

PPI S580.5 Review

This is not a bad amp. However not as clean as i would expect from PPI which used to be a major player in the High end car audio market. Now they share almost identical platforms as their parent company sound stream. The x-over points indications are horribly marked making it difficult to select so you need to tune by ear. Pros: I prefer the screw type terminal strips, so this was a bonus for me. The price is another pro. Cons:The product manual is useless. It could use a bit more power. It would be if it was an AB/D amp, but you get what you pay for.

Precision Power PPI S580.5

There is simply no better 5ch amp on the market for the money. I built my system for me e30 with this amp and no one can believe it's a 200 dollar amp. It would be nice if it had an adjustable remote sub controller but my Alpine has one that is easy to get to. Not a lot of info in the owners manual.

great amp

I love this amp. It does everything I want. On the single channel I am pushing two 10" jl audio w1v2-8. Plus my hi's and mid's. Doesn't over heat at all.
