AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These subs are amazing. i really didn't think slim subs would actually BUMP!! i got two12 " of these subs in my 05 Ford F 150 under the back seat. and they make every thing shake. if you have a good amp. i would recommend these subs to any one looking for something thin enough to hide and produce some great bass. i give 5 stars all the way. and now that there getting cheaper im gonna get 2 more tens to complet the system :))

One bad punch!

Bought this speaker to put in my son's 86 F150. Built a ported box to go behind the seat. After a period of break in (factory recommended) it sounds great. Would recommend it to anyone looking a shallow sub. Got it cheaper here than at a local car audio shop.

Good Subs

I Have used Fosgate subs for 15 years and never had a bad thing to say about them. I recently bought the fosgate p3 shallow subs and put them in a 1998 Sonoma single cab and they hit hard. I am very happy with the sound quality and space saving design of the subs. I would suggest them to anyone and when i say they hit i mean it.

2 p3sd412 behind the backseat in 06tacoma 4door

The subs are not the cheapest shallow-mount.That being said the subs fit great in my Tacoma. There is no space behind the backseat and i got two of them to fit. They are being pushed by a Hifonics Brutus BXI2010D 2000 Watt D-Class set up on one ohm. Everyone who hears my truck loves it. I beat the system everyday for around 6 months now.

amazing subs

The subs sound amazing, they have a good deep bass. fits and sounds really good in small trucks. i have a '03 GMC Sonoma and they really bump it. I can feel my truck vibrating. All my friends enjoy them and say they are the best for shallow subs. I would recommend these.

Great Shallow Mount Subs

My first set of shallow mount subs, I have 2 in a narrow box under the back seat in my truck. Only subs I could find rated for the small cubic air space and they hit hard. Powering them with a HiFonics Zeus 2 channel amp. 400 rms @ 2ohm x2. Even with a 2 farad cap my lights dim inside and out when at full blast. Also rare to find a dual coil shallow mount as well.

bangin rockford

It was a great price for a very powerful sub . The sub is great for small spaces where you just cant get a big box to fit I have one in my 95 dodge ram and it sounds great, compared to any regular sub that I have put in a truck box.

good subs for good price

these subs have great sound quality and are pretty loud, i have them in a 2000 gmc sierra extended cab in a fire down box under my back seat and would not recommend that, but the subs i would definitely recommend. Every speaker and amp in my truck are rockford fosgate and i would not change anything, i would recommend all of there products

Great Purchase!

it was an exceptional product not only because of it's great marketed down price but it was exactly what i wanted. i set out to buy shallow mount and i have tried many other subs and none like this prove to be worth the exact ohms and not to mention the looks! i say it's worth it i never had any problems..i will only buy from Sonic electronix!

wow. it may be shallow but it sounds deep!

i have this in a small bandpass enclosure. Its not the perfect box for it but it really sounds great. I can't believe the movement this thing has! I didn't expect much from it since it was shallow but it sounds great. i would recomend a nice sealed box with a good amp on it. This is perect for people with no space but want the BASS! One rattles my mirrors but if you really want it bangin get 2 or more. Also its DVC! So it has more options or ohm loads on you amp.

good bang for the buck

Great for tight places and especially trucks..doesn't pound like a normal 12" sub would but sounds great for the movement it produces...took about 4 months to get broken in..sounds great in my chev crew cab firing down under the back seat...ur not gonna win any top db contests but u should already know this being the sub is a shallow mount.. I run a mono block class D amp that pushes 1100 watts rms and it plays hard..hope this review helps...

A 12 in a Mini Hatchback?

This product lives up to its RF name: superb quality, wiring/mounting was a snap, and in a sealed enclosure in a Mini Cooper S Hatchback. Destructive lows and greats mid levels without distortion. I highly recommend this sub for those tight spaces. Just buy it if you're looking for a shallow mount sub, the others I have tried have failed me. You will not find a better bang for your buck. For reference and credibility, I bump a ported Digital Designs 12 (for those who know about car audio quality) in my F150, and this legit compares to the Shallow-mount Rockford Fosgate I put in my wife's Mini Cooper.

Not bad.

I like the P3's. They are standard Rockford Quality. They seem to be broken in by now, and they sound pretty good. I have them mounted in a custom box under the rear seat of my Silverado Ext. cab. For space saving they are great, and musically they sound excellent. Just what you would expect from Rockford Fosgate. Far as rap goes they leave a little to be desired. But I dont listen to much rap, so it is not a problem for me. classic rock and country they sound great. They comes in the usual flavors D2 and D4 so that is nice as well. If you are short on space they are the way to go.

Great compact sub

This is a great slimline sub, perfect for single cab S10s and the like. Gives very tight, nice bass that is good for rock/metal etc. Definitely recommend this sub for such situations, a very good value.

These are definitively poor class subs

Despite of the good comments and the high tech specs wrote inside, these subs are poor class and should be treated as that. Are long lasting and cheap for the design, but definitively not worth it for a high end sound system.
Pros: Price, Design, Durability.
Cons: Low SQ, Not watt efficient, Distort

Good Sub !!!

I have it in a sealed box (.67 ft) under the back seat of a 4dr pickup. Hooked up to an Alpine M650 amp. Gain set just over the plus.5 mark. Handles Rap,Rock, modern Country real well. You'll like this one, looks good too!

Worst subwoofers owned

I purchased two of these subs for my 05, dodge ram and blew up both of them. i had them professionally installed and they looked and sounded great for the first month and they were correctly broken in and tuned and both one after another blew. The manufacturer had nothing to say but local dealers said nothing good to say about them and no longer sell the subs. The amp was not even turned up half way and there was no reason for the problems. Horrible quality and not recommended. i now own 2 type s's and no problems yet and they sound great.

P3SD412

Sounds very good for a shallow sub. I have it hooked up to a 2006 punch 325.1 @ 2 ohms with a tsunami 1.2 farad cap. Specs showed the amp puts out 410 watts@ 2 ohms. It's in a Meta S112SE. I'm happy with it. Wont kock your hat off. But for what invested in the system i think its very surprising small package.

Great Bump

I have a pair of these puppies hooked up to a Crunch 1400 ground pounder amp in the trunk of my accord (ported box mind you), and i must admit they produce some bumping bass. They are pretty durable considering i've blown up two amps while they were hooked to these. They are rated for 400 rms and i've been running the 700 rms (iffy) from the crunch amp for over three months now and they keep hitting. GREAT VALUE for the price, they make the roof of my car wobble just under half inch.

bang for shallows

For being slims they bang. Only had around 500 watts in a dodge ram and sounded great. Don't have them anymore because of I don't have my ram. And i was i could have pushed more power to them, because they were hungry. Love RF and Sonic Electronix

Good Deal

These are pretty subs, good clean bass and quick recovery for fast hitting drums in songs. I have a .8 cu ft custom false floor box with pollyfill for my 08 scion xb and a 700w max alpine amp running it. It works great just doesnt hit the real low notes well, probably because its a shallow and possibly because its a sealed box. Good directions and easy to find a place to fit, very efficient too. Good for the price and good if your working with a small space.
