Sony MDR-XB600 On-ear extra bass headphones

Good controlled bass but not explosive such as a sub woofer. Pristine mid-range and clear highs. I use it to listen to Windows Media Player ripped music with bass, mids and treble slightly extended (pluses) and also on my Harman Kardon and Pioneer receivers with a female 1/8 to 1/4 male adapter. Hardly no distortion factor with all types of music. Bass, Mid and Treble requencies seem to blend together in unison without one dominating the other. From a scale of 1 to 10 , I'll give it a 7.5.

What can I say, phenomenal pricing and Sony quality which happened to be one-half of what other places charge!!! Not only that but I didn't get charged sales tax or shipping either! When I saw this, I returned the pair I had bought elsewhere for a savings of $65.00 in all. Thank you Sonic Electronix!

I bought these a month ago, and have not been disappointed for a second. The headphones were just as described, and are great quality for the cost. They were shipped quickly and in the original box-brand new. I use them everyday and love them!

My 1st review, I purchased these from another web site, when they arrived I plugged them into my new HTC One S phone and started listening to Pandora with Beats Audio, First impression was wow a lot of bass, but after just a few minutes and a few songs later in recognized the bass was VERY clear, NO Distortion, crisp clear bass, Crisp clear everything, Very Very good sound, I LOVE THEM! Not one compliant, I would recommend these to all my best friends - IF you like over the ear headphones, which I prefer. if you do not like over the ear headphones, I would recommend looking at the specs and finding the same specs on the earphones you put into your ear. The padding is soft and very comfee, I listen to them every evening before bed, again I cant tell you how much I enjoy them, I am thinking of purchasing another pair just in case they discontinue them. Oh , one other thing since I purchase them, I have listen to the Dr, Dre Beats headphones on my HTC One S and the Sonys blow them away, I dont think you will be sorry, Good luck and enjoy your new Sony MDR-XB500 Extra Bass Headphones.
