Good controlled bass but not explosive such as a sub woofer. Pristine mid-range and clear highs. I use it to listen to Windows Media Player ripped music with bass, mids and treble slightly extended (pluses) and also on my Harman Kardon and Pioneer receivers with a female 1/8 to 1/4 male adapter. Hardly no distortion factor with all types of music. Bass, Mid and Treble requencies seem to blend together in unison without one dominating the other. From a scale of 1 to 10 , I'll give it a 7.5.

What can I say, phenomenal pricing and Sony quality which happened to be one-half of what other places charge!!! Not only that but I didn't get charged sales tax or shipping either!
