Over 2 years old and still rocks the boat
Have had this amp in our boat on fresh water for just over 2 years. We are out every weekend and a couple days a week too. The amp is covered form most of the weather but had been through many storms and has got wet and has never failed. We use 1 deep cycle battery and can be cranking out the toons all day and in to the night with out having to start the eng.
Sounds great we love it.

As advertised
Very good small unit, installed on a 21ft bay boat with small console, great setup with Ipod integration and enough power to drive four speakers well. I would recommend this unit.

Reliable, clean and exceptionally powerful
I am running 4 kicker 6.5" speakers down to 2 ohm off the the front channels of the amp and 2 kicker 10" 8ohm down to 4 ohm off the rear channels of the amp and the power and clarity is exceptional.

good for basics
Well it would be good for a basic system in a fishing boat but it does not have enough power for the sony 10's but it does power the 6.5s great and the built in cross overs work well but not for the big speakers even brigded it still is bairly enough for the 10s to work ok. Would buy but its not as much power as it says! I bought 2 amps 2 10" subs and 8 6.5 all sony seem to be great just the amps. Power is over rated but works great for everything else!!

Does the job
Good amp. I'm not pushing anything too massive but it sounds good. It is bigger than I expected. I did not look at the dimensions before purchasing. I barely had room to put it where I wanted it in the boat. High and Low bypasses are a little annoying just because the are on specific channels rather than being able to choose. I think the low is on the front channel and the high on the rear. It did not seem to match with how I wanted to run the balance through the head unit so I turned them off, but it works as advertised. Not a flashy looking amp you will probably want to hide it somewhere. If you want flashy look or lights look elsewhere. All marine amps should be six channel, but this one does what it advertises.

Provides clean strong boost
After getting my boat with the factory head unit and speakers in it, I opted for sony's marine unit to add capability to the boat for using ipods-sirius-mp3 discs etc. That went great, as I could use many new modern devices, but the sound was terrible with my 2 little 25 watt RMS speakers. So then I dropped in some new polk (100 watt RMS) speakers. Much better sound but now the head unit couldn't push enough power to the speakers and the unit would start to clip the sound at higher volumes as it struggled to try and keep up. So to cure this I opted for this amp. Now I have what I consider great, clean, clear, crisp sound at very loud levels without any distortion. Now I am not the biggest audiophile out there and this is my first install of head units, speakers and amps but it is all very clear and easy to understand and do. I guess now my next move will to be to buy a sub woofer to run off the amp and then to buy a wakeboard tower and install some more speakers and then buy another amp to run those and then buy the remote commander for the stern etc...But seriously this amp so improved the overall sound and capabilities of my system that it is now something you want to use and listen to.

This amp rocks!
I put this in my 08 Kawasaki side by side under the rear seat in the bed . I have 4 speakers hooked to the front and 1 10" sub to the rear and it is loud and clear! its been in the rain and snow, after mudding I spray the bed out and directly on the amp with no problems. this amp rocks!

Great Price - Great Sound
We bought this for our boat to go along with a new Sony stereo, 4 speakers, and subwoofer. The sound quality with just the Sony stereo and speakers was not impressive, I was ready to return everything. Lots of noise and any bass sounded awful. We decided to give the stereo and speakers a chance by buying the Sony subwoofer and amp. I am so glad we did. After hooking everything up, which was easy, the sound quality was amazing. Everything from Hip-hop to high-treble 80's music sounds great. I was worried because Sony is not known for sound quality, but I am sold from now on. I hope this review helps. I could not find enough reviews when I was buying this product.

Delivers on its specs!
This amp was already installed when I got my boat 3 years ago...I've since configured this amp in 3 channel mode. Driving 4 Polk db651 coaxials (2-ohm stereo) and the bridged channel easily powers an inefficient 10" sub in a small sealed box under the helm of my 93' Searay bowrider. The output and sound quality is very very good and it never shuts down. Worth the money. In all honesty, I work for a competing audio company...and I have no reason to replace it with my employee discounted marine amp...

Very pleased! High quality
Installed this amp on a UTV. It's pushing a pair of Bazooka tower speakers and a 10" sub. Sounds great!

Not much output for size?
Works where cheaper model failed. Using in 3 channel mode with 2 6 x 9 and 8" tube and is barely enough power. Not much output for size.

Sony XM-604M Marine Amplifier
These amps are rock solid, and a great value for the price. I have installed dozens of these amps in some hot set ups, and run a pair of these in my own personal boat. They rock hard, run cool and efficient..

Durable for your boat too!
Two years later and this still pumps out killer sound to my boat's 4 6.5" Speakers. When cruising in an open bow Maxum 1900, I turn it up and hear it just fine over the wind. Even an acoustic set. This has been stored outside in the heat and still never fails.

Sony XM-604
This amp is the cats meow! Works better than I imagined it would. Easy adjustment for front and rear. Only wish it were a little smaller but I have it mounted in a great place so the size did not matter. It's heavy duty which is what I needed. So far it has been great giving me enough power to overcome my 150 two stroke outboard motor. I am pleased with this amp!!!

You get what you pay for.
I purchased this amp to replace my Rockford 400D when it unceremoniously broke after 2 years of use. As the title says you get what you pay for. I purchased this amp mainly due to its price point. Right out of the box i could see the swap was not going to be cut and dry. This amp has quite a large footprint. It also has very small terminals to land the power and ground wire which sucks as they suggest a 50a fuse and a wire rated to carry that load is much larger then the terminal it lands to. My Rockford had very nice lug style connections for the larger wire. The sound quality of the amp isn't horrible but there is noticeably less bass then there used to be out of my 6x9's. All in all it will serve its purpose. If I were running any kind of sub this would not be an amp I would purchase. It's adequate for standard house style speakers.

Sounds Great for a great bargain
I paired the amp with a 4 Polk Audio db speakers and a 6 inch Bazooka sub with a Sony head unit. The entire set up cost less than $500.00. The sound is amazing! My stereo blows away those who have paid two and three times as much. I am very happy with the entire set up.
