Amazing sub
This brand has been amazing for my family and all there different road
Get them! ...if you can find them.
I'm not being overly kind to these speakers. They do deserve a 5 star rating all around. I have owned the 12" version of these subs since Feb. 2003.
Value: For the price and having DVC's, they can't be beat.
Look & Design: Come on! They are *awesome*.
Durability: poked a 3/8" hole in one of them several years ago. That particular speaker has not gotten worse, it is a *thick* aluminum. That speaker also does not whistle or flutter at all, it's like the hole isn't even there.
Features: Dual Voice Coils at this price?
Ease of use: Well, it's a speaker like any other. No harder or easier to use.
I had run these on my old MTX Thunder 225HO pushine then to their rated wattage limit at all times, and exceeding RMS power at 1/3 volume, they took every bit of the power. They are now on a cheap Circuit City 250w amplifier and are still loud and powerful even being wired at 4ohms. I honestly thought the little 250w amp wouldn't be able to push them. ...been on that amp 3 years now and I listen to a lot of Drum and Bass and Dubstep.
...bottom line, aside from JL Audio's W & T series subs, these are the only speakers I'd recommend. the price to performance value is insane! If you can find a pair, do not hesitate to pick them up.
Not Bad
Used to never mess with any generic brands such as these. But after testing out a pair on these in a sealed box, I was very easily impressed. Loud car shaking. With only a 280 watt generic amp too.
