Distribution Block Type
This specifies what the intended use of the distribution block is. Fused distribution blocks are intended to be used with the power wire and the fuse acts as a short-circuit or surge protection so your amplifier is not as likely to be damaged. Non-fused distribution blocks can used with ground or power wire connections, but the protection on power wire connections will not be present as there is no fuse in the distribution block. Therefore, we recommend your amplifier has an external fuse for short-circuit or surge protection. When using either type of distribution block, it is recommended to use a main fuse holder within 18 inches of the battery.

Number of Fuses
This is the number of fuses that the item requires to work properly.
Total Number of Inputs
This is the total number of input connections that go into the unit.
Maximum Input Gauge Size
This is the largest gauge wire that will fit into the power and ground terminals of this device. The lower the gauge number, the thicker the wire is. For example, a 4 gauge wire is thicker than an 8 gauge wire and thus has higher current carrying capacity. Always do your best to get this size wire to reduce the risk of damage to your components.
Total Number of Outputs
This is the total number of output connections that the unit will produce.
Maximum Output Gauge Size
This number refers to the maximum size of wire that will fit into the output connector(s) of the capacitor, battery terminal, or any other connector with an wire output.
