Monitor Type
Studio monitors can be passive or active. Passive monitors require an outside amplification of the audio signal. Active monitors have a built-in amplifier to provide proper output to the speakers.
Monitors Included
This is the total number of monitors included in the purchase. While some are sold in pairs, there are many monitors that are sold individually.
Peak Power
This is the maximum power rating of the studio monitors. For passive monitors, this is the maximum amount of wattage that the drivers are rated at. For active monitors, this is the maximum amount of wattage that the built-in amplifier sends to each driver.
Speaker Size
This is the size of the Low Frequency (LF) driver inside the studio monitor.
Controls
These are all of the different controls and adjustments that can be made on the monitor.

These are the types of digital inputs and interfaces that the studio monitor is able to accept.

These are the analog inputs for the studio monitor.
