Install a new Single-DIN car stereo in select 1984-1997 vehicles from Mazda (Matte Black)
• Single-DIN Dash Kit
• High-Grade ABS plastic construction
• Original factory-like fit and finish
• Includes installation instructions
This stereo installation kit has been engineered to help you install a 2” tall (Single-DIN) aftermarket radio into the original vehicle dashboard. This dash kit makes radio replacement simple and comes with a pocket that is installed below the 2” radio to fill the extra space in the radio opening, which can be used for storage. The dash kit is designed to match the original look and feel of the vehicle’s dashboard. Installing an aftermarket radio can upgrade the sound quality and provide additional features the original factory radio couldn’t offer but requires this dash kit to make it fit.

Good But Instructions Suck
This unit has a lot of options but the instructions are not very clear on which tabs to cut where and the overall construction is a bit flimsy. But it works and my head unit, mostly fit, had to squeeze it a bit.

Quality product but...
This was the kit I received for my '97 M Edition Miata with a factory double din radio. This has the bracket needed to install the radio but no trim piece for finishing the new double din I installed. I had to use additional kits and modify them to install my new system.

Outdated
as far as aI can tell this is the only option for a 1990 Miata. This is a bit outdated for the fact it doesn't consider that all new radio's come with a mounting cage which will not fit until you remove the upper and lower shelf that sticks out. Putting some black tape over the whitish looking cracked off edges so you dont see it under your mount or a bit of black paint on a Qtip will do as well. Oh rounding the edges of the hole cage will help too.

Not so great fit
I do a fair amount of installations per year. This kit is just ok for the miata. I eventually ended up scrapping it for a metal cage install kit. It worked much better
