Use the harness: White (Left +), White/Black (Left -), Gray (Right +), and Gray/Black (Right -). The Red wire needs 12V power and Black needs ground to activate the built-in "Remote Out" (Blue) for your amplifier.
No. The XMICROLOC2 is rated for 150W RMS per channel. It is specifically designed to handle the high-wattage output of "high-power" factory head units and small amplifiers without overheating or distorting the signal.
This unit uses DC Offset to trigger the Blue remote wire. It "looks" for the small voltage shift when your radio turns on. If it fails to trigger, ensure the LOC has a solid 12V power/ground and your radio is at 25% volume.
This unit features a 6:1 Step Down ratio. Use a small screwdriver to turn the side gain dials. Start low and increase until your amp sounds clear at high volume. This prevents "clipping" the audio or overdriving your amp's inputs.
Its "Micro" footprint is its best feature. You can zip-tie it directly to the factory wire loom. However, avoid placing it directly on top of the car's main computer (ECU) or high-current power runs to prevent picking up electrical "hiss."
