Ported Enclosure

The NVX XMDFP101 has a ported subwoofer enclosure design. Ported boxes allow air to move freely through the port creating a louder sound. This creates a bigger and louder sound and harder hitting bass compared to a sealed enclosure. This is because there are two mechanisms amplifying the sound, one being the actual subwoofer itself and the other being the port on the side of the box. They also tend to run more efficiently and the additional airflow keeps the subwoofers cooler, thus helping with their longevity.

Made in the USA

The NVX XMDFP101 enclosure is made in the USA instead of overseas. This means that all X series enclosures are not only constructed with the highest quality materials, but designed to pass the highest quality and safety standards. The XMDFP101 enclosure is also constructed with the highest quality medium-density fiberboard, rather than traditional plywood. This means that the wood will not bend or warp over time ensuring that the enclosure produces the same consistent high-quality sound.

Precise Construction

The XMDFP101 is also constructed with true-to-size 3/4 -inch wood. While many competitors claim to be constructed with 3/4-inch wood when in actuality it is 5/8-inches. This means all X-series enclosures are not only durable, but produce the most accurate sound possible. The XMDFP101 features CNC cutting which is an automated process that cuts through material such as wood with pinpoint accuracy. This helps ensure that all measurements and dimensions are true-to-size to achieve the most accurate fitment possible.
