The Centra-Pod is an excellent addition to enhance your Jeep CJ or YJ sound system. Designed to fit in front of the shifters, this unique speaker housing ensures sound is directed towards both the driver and passenger. You have the option to purchase the empty version of the Centra-Pod, allowing you to install your own speakers. For most 5.25 inch speakers, the Centra-Pod comes with pre-cut holes that accommodate them. However, if you prefer to use 6.5 inch speakers, you may need to enlarge the holes using a rotary cutout tool or a jig saw. It's important to check the compatibility of the speaker grilles, as some 6.5 inch grilles may be larger and might not fit the pod's face correctly.

Versatile Compatibility for a Range of Models

The Centra-Pod is compatible with most 55-95 CJ and Wrangler models. While some earlier CJ models may not allow placement in front of the shifters, they may accommodate placement on the other side, closer to you. Additionally, with minor modifications, the unit can fit earlier models and many trucks and SUVs. If your vehicle has a flat stretch across the transmission hump, you can simply flip the pod and use its flat backside. To determine compatibility, it's essential to consider that the Centra-Pod requires approximately 6 inches of depth and 6 inches of height clearance at the top/center.
