My steering wheel buttons aren't responding after the install. How do I sync them?

The D9 has an integrated CANBUS. Ensure the small 4-pin "CAN" plug from the Dynavin harness is firmly seated into the back of the radio. Then, go to Settings > Car Type and ensure "Mustang 2010-2014" is selected.

Why is there no sound from my Shaker 500/1000 system even though the radio fits the dash?

You must connect the Blue "Amp Turn-on" wire from the Dynavin harness to the factory amplifier trigger wire. Without this 12V signal, the factory Shaker subwoofers and door amps will not "wake up" to produce audio.

I’m getting a "No Signal" message when I shift into Reverse. What's wrong?

First, ensure the camera RCA is in the Brown "Camera In" jack. Second, because this unit uses CANBUS, ensure the Reverse Trigger is set to "CAN" in the menu settings so it knows to switch automatically via the car's computer.

Why does my wireless CarPlay/Android Auto fail to connect or frequently disconnect?

Reset the link by "forgetting" the Dynavin from your phone's Bluetooth/Wi-Fi. Re-pair via Bluetooth only first; the radio will then prompt the Wi-Fi handshake. Ensure your phone's "Hotspot" is OFF, as it can interfere.

Why is the screen blank or not turning on even though the buttons light up?

This is often a ribbon cable issue. Since the screen is a "floating" style for the Mustang dash, ensure the wide data cable between the main brain and the display is fully clicked into place and the locking tabs are pushed in.

Why is my battery draining overnight after installing the Dynavin?

This happens if the CANBUS box is keeping the car's computer "awake." Ensure the red and orange power wires are not jumped together. The radio should turn off completely about 30–60 seconds after you pull the key and open the door.

How do I update the iGo Navigation maps or the D9 system software?

Format a USB drive to FAT32. Download the update from Dynavin’s site, unzip it to the root folder, and plug it into the USB media port. Go to Settings > System > Update. Keep the engine running to prevent a power drop.

Can I keep my factory Sync Bluetooth and Aux port with this radio?

The Dynavin D9 is designed to replace Sync. You will use the Dynavin’s built-in Bluetooth and the provided USB/Aux extensions. For a clean DIY look, route the new USB cables into the center console or glovebox.
