Check your crossover settings. These are pro-audio tweeters and require a high-pass filter (HPF) set to at least 5kHz. Playing frequencies lower than this will cause immediate distortion and can permanently burn the voice coil.
High-compression bullet tweeters have a very high sensitivity (104dB). To balance them, you must use the Gain control on your amplifier to turn them down, or install an L-Pad attenuator if running them on the same channel as mids.
While these are 3.5" class, the bullet housing and large ferrite magnet require a 2.83" cutout. You likely need to trim the factory plastic opening or use a spacer ring to lift the tweeter so the magnet clears the bottom of the dash.
Yes. Unlike standard silk tweeters, these pro drivers allow you to replace the titanium diaphragm without buying a whole new unit. Unscrew the back housing to swap the blown diaphragm with a NVX VPROHTD.
Yes, it is highly recommended to keep the inline capacitors installed. They act as a "fail-safe" blocker. If your amp settings are accidentally reset, the capacitor prevents low-range bass notes from reaching and instantly destroying the tweeter.
