NE151S is better for audiophiles who want a tight but not forceful bass. Like other sealed enclosures, NE151S is quite smaller so it would save some space in your car. However, if you really want an earth-shattering low-end, go ahead with NE151P instead.

Will a high-excursion 15" sub with a massive magnet hit the back panel of NE151S?

Most likely not. For example, the NE151S has a generous mounting depth of up to 13-3/4". That’s enough clearance for even the beefiest competition-grade magnets to breathe without slamming against the rear wall.

Can I fit NE151S in a small SUV without having to deal with very loud bass?

Yes. This sealed enclosure provides the air pressure needed to control a large 15-inch cone. It gives you massive low-end authority while keeping the bass articulate and precise enough for any music genre.

Can I add more Polyfill to the NE151S?

We don't recommend. NVX includes just enough to help the box act about 15-20% larger sound-wise. Adding too much can actually choke the sub's movement. Only add more if your sub's specs significantly exceed the box's actual internal volume.

What’s with the choice to build NE151S with rounded corners?

It’s for durability and fitment. Sharp MDF corners under carpet are prone to bruising or chipping during installation. Rounded edges prevent the carpet from tearing and make it much easier to slide the box into tight trunk gaps.
