Sucks, like a Hoover should !
My only complaint is that it is a bit heavy, but it does work really well. Sometimes when I vacuum the living room carpet I can't believe how much stuff things sucks up. When I dump the large dirt cup (its bagless)
Its amazing how much this thing collects.
