Great sounding
I got these headphones to mix, record, and just listen to music. They have a great flat response - no added bass. The fit is good, and comfortable to wear. The only con is they do make my ears hot after a prolonged use.

Works Perfectly
When I received an email from AT asking for me to review the ATHM40fs, I was actually listening to music with them, and listening very clearly, mind you! I'm a beginner at producing, and these certainly serve my purposes, but I am confident that it serves professionals as well. I only wish I would have gotten one with coiled cable, but still, I really shouldn't be complaining.

You get what you pay for.
PROS
-Clean for monitoring sound when I am editing.
-Cord is long enough that I can use to monitor audio during production. However, it's usually too long for my purposes so I end up using a twisty tie of some sort to control the length and not have it drag on the ground.
CONS
-Gets very uncomfortable/hurts the ears very quickly after around 20 minutes.
MISC
-Had to get an 1/4" to 1/8" adapter to plug into my computer and camera but I knew this before purchasing.

MixTrack for the basics+
I would recommend this for the DJ who's looking to convert from Vinyl/CD to digital format tracks or for someone just starting out. Think of this unit as a base-model Toyota with some very nice extra perks. I was pleasantly surprised that it came with some on-board sound effects and available samples (and the ability to record additional ones - but that's all software-driven).
There is no sound card built into this unit, so you're going to have to use it with a laptop's soundcard (or external sound card)...basically, it is an extension of the keyboard, but for music/DJs.
I used it at a gig without any problems. Has a good 'weight' to it and doesn't feel flimsy. Get a neoprene sleeve big enough for hold the unit (look around, it's out there) and keep dust/dirt off of it when not being used.
The drawbacks: no soundcard/visual display without a laptop...no (direct) way to cue a track while one is playing, but since I use it with a separate mixer, I got some additional cables to split the signal (coming out of the laptop) to 2 channels, but it was still a bit confusing. Good value for the money.
