FiiO E1 Black (Alisan-E01) Portable Headphone Amplifier with In-Line Remote

Great product

I use the Fiio on my ipod while riding my motorcycle. All the controls of my ipod are on the Fiio which is clipped to my jacket. It increases the volumn more than any other similar product I've used. However, for my use I would like it more if the volumn and pause controls were not so close to each other.

a must-have, kind of

If you are into music - you have to have this, definitely worth it's price. the only thing I don't like - the cord is unnecessary long, I'm using it with regular headphones (ones with ~3ft cord) and this is pretty annoying having all these wires hanging out of the pocket. Another thing is you can't use either ipod/iphone or headphones' controls to adjust the volume, only the buttons on the amplifier. On the other hand you can use both pin connector and 3.5 jack at the same time, so you can plug in two pairs of headphones simultaneously. And the last thing - arrangement of buttons on the remote was designed by someone who has a weird sense of creativity - why change something everyone got used to a long time ago? just look it up, you'll see what I mean, or you'll have a little surprise when you get to use the amplifier. In the end - there isn't much choice among portable amplifiers and this one does it's job, though there's still some details that need to be worked on.

I would recommend the ALISAN E01 to anyone who enjoys Ipod with headphones, product and depth and power.

Great Product!

I've owned this device for six months and its been very good to me. I purchased it because the head phone jack on my ipod was broken but i was surprised how much better quality it made the music sound. The only drawbacks are that it drains your ipod's battery at a much faster rate than it normally would. Overall I am very satisfied!

Great Product So Far

Bought this because my headphone amp on my Ipod Nano stopped working. The Fiio E1 works fine so far. My headphones sound much better (cleaner sound, better bass, and louder volume). The best thing about the Fiio E1, is that it runs off the Ipod's battery...so there is one less thing you have to remember to keep charged all the time. There are two things that I don't like about the Fiio E1: [1] the cable is too long(makes it too easy to get snagged on something) and [2] the control button is a little too sensitive for my taste (makes it too easy to skip songs if the control is in your pocket and you happen to brush up against something). Other than the two gripes I listed I think it is a great product and at a great price at Sonic Electronix.
