The Backstopper™ CA-5014 is a rear impact warning sensor system designed to aid the driver when backing up their vehicle. The sensors wide detection angle will alert the driver of any small children, pedestrians, animals or small unseen objects such as bicycles or parking poles. This makes it very convenient for parking in a parking garage, a crowded lot or even in your own driveway.
The dispaly for the system is a speacial headliner mount style that is designed to be mounted on the rear portion of the headliner so that when the driver looks in the rear view mirror when reversing, he can see the LED display's distance read-out.
The CA-5014 also has built-in intelligent warning Intelligent Detection to allow to system to be compatible with vehicles that are equipped with tow-hitches and spare tire racks or other protursions on the rear of the vehilce. The intellignet detection can be calibrated to learn where these protrusions are on the bumper and will not send false-alerts to the driver when the vehicle is in reverse.

Range less than advetised
Product is ok. The specs didn't say anything about rubber gromets,Install went smooth but, the advertised range was to start around 8 feet. The sensors don't start untill 4-5 feet.
I would not of bought the product if I knew that was the case.

great customer service
this company has great customer service. They responded to every question and took care of every problem quickly. I had the unit professionally installed on my 2014 RAM 2500. There were very little issues and the unit set up easily and looks like a factory instillation.
Overall it works well and is a great value for the price.

Good product
I installed this unite on an 05 F150 with a chrome bumper. The sensors were chrome so thought the hole saw was for a metal bumper. Two of the holes were in plastic so the saw worked fine on them. But the drill burned out on the first hole and I used cutting oil.
The unite worked fine and am very pleased with it.
