The XBA-3 features three balanced armature drivers, each with a dedicated frequency range for precise tonal separation and a sound that is distinctly articulated and free of muddiness. Featuring a dedicated tweeter for high frequencies, a dedicated woofer for lower frequencies, and a full range balanced armature that rounds out everything else, these in-ear monitors deliver a level of detail and complexity that is virtually unparalleled.
Further refining the quality of the sound reproduction, the XBA-3 feature double layered chamber construction with a high-rigidity magnesium inter chamber that keeps the drivers securely in place and minimizes vibrations. The outer chamber is constructed of ABS plastic that further inhibits unwanted vibration and maintains a neutral tonality.
Rounding out the experience, these in-ear headphones feature comfortable silicone ear tips that create a secure fit within the ear while effectively isolating noise for a focused and untainted reproduction.

Treble kills everything.
Hello there. Im using this headphones with my Sony Xperia Z smartphone, so, with equalizer off its almost impossible to listen to music, because treble kills everything. When I putted 6-16kHz frequencies to -10, putted clear bass +10, only then you can hear almost rich and clear sound with good mids, acceptable bass and still good portion of treble. But its still impossible to listen to radio or youtube and any internet radio station, because this sound is not affected by equalizer, which only can be used with mp3 player. So, personally I believe, that set of XBA-2 should sound much better, because they didnt have dedicated tweeter which kills everything.
