Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

True 1/0 gauge wire like this kit uses rarely fits directly into standard amp terminals. You must use 1/0 to 4-gauge wire reducers or the included distribution block. Never trim the copper strands, as this creates a fire hazard.
While the XAPK0 provides maximum current, your factory battery-to-chassis ground may be too thin to handle the return path. Perform the "Big 3 Upgrade" by adding a 0-gauge ground wire from your battery negative to the car's frame.
Do not force this wire through factory rubber grommets; you risk slicing the jacket. Use a step-drill bit to create a 3/4" hole and install a plastic or rubber snap-in bushing to prevent the metal from cutting into the wire.
Heat is usually caused by resistance from a loose connection, not the fuse size. Use a hex key to tighten the set screws on both sides of the fuse holder as hard as possible. If the wire can wiggle at all, it will generate dangerous heat.
Seat bolts are often treated with anti-rust coatings or loctite, which are poor conductors. Drill a dedicated hole into the main chassis, sand the area to bare, shiny metal, and use a ring terminal with a self-tapping bolt.
