It's called value. Good increase in useable light on the road with reasonable life span. Price point is right. There are brighter bulbs, but the filament life can be proportionally short. My application is for a motorcycle, so vibration is also hard on the very brightest bulbs. Again, this bulb is a good blend of increased bright with reasonable bulb life.
