JL Audio TR tweeters incorporate woven textile dome diaphragms to deliver clean, extended response, on and off axis. Their motor features a neodymium magnet, and are ferrofluid cooled and damped. The small size of the TR tweeter minimizes tweeter protrusion, allowing TR coaxials to fit behind most factory speaker grilles. It is these technologies that allow the TR coaxial systems to deliver a proper full-range sound that will compliment the staging of larger drivers within an audio system.
The TR series coaxial system features mineral-filled polypropylene cones, long excursion capabilities and stamped steel frames. The woofer design benefits from JL Audio's vast woofer design experience and advanced modeling systems. Long-excursion woofer designs allow TR's to handle real-world power without compromising low-frequency output and mid-bass capability. JL Audio TR400-CXi
We installed one of these in a 1980 camaro z28 and it added great, clear sound. It, along with two rear-deck mount 6x9's are being driven by a 350/4 JL Audio amp. I would suggest not only this speaker, but this entire JL Audio line to anyone... Happy Customers!!!!

wish they were cheapper!
Good sound quality, they come with the plates to fit them in bigger wholes, hard to distord them... but they are too expensive!

Holding up well.
I installed these into my 2016 jeep Cherokee about three months ago. I have subwoofers in here as well, and generally play my music very loud. I installed these into my front two door speakers. I noticed an improvement over the stock immediately after turning it on. Provides much crisper sounds, and they seem to be holding up great after the hell I put them through!
