This box is a great sounding box. I have a 1500 watt amp hooked up to it and it will take it all and remains crystal clear and intense. Great product !!

Unclear specifications
So far, so good.....
However, this sub model was misrepresented at the time I purchased it. It clearly stated on this site, as well as other popular audio equipment sites, that it was rated for 800 watts RMS power, and 1600 watts at peak power.
This is clearly not the case, as it now states (on this site as well as the Kicker packaging that came with the sub) it can only handle 500 and 1000 watts. This concerns me now because I paired this sub with a Pioneer GM-D9601. The Pioneer amp is rated (at 2 Ohms) for 800 watts RMS power, and 1600 watts peak power, so naturally I'm concerned about whether or not the sub can handle this power.
As I said, all is well now, but I advise people to quadruple check their research of this model before committing to purchasing this sub.
As far as performance, it hasn't disappointed, but I'm VERY wary when it comes to turning up the volume/bass when I have music playing. Maybe others can input their experience from the same time that I purchased it.

Awesome Sub!!
I actually ran across this set up at a pawn shop. I looked up the specs on it and thought it should really pound. I bought it at more than a 100 less than you can buy on the internet. I took the sub out of the box and saw that it was set for 8 ohms. Moved it to 2 ohms and boy was I blown away by the bass this puppy puts out! I've got it being pushed by a Alpine MRP-M500 and it just pounds this sub. I'm very impressed! It really shakes all the mirrors and moves my wifes hair while listening to loud bass songs. This is in a Dodge Dakota quad cab with the small seat removed. If you pair this up with at least a 500W amp you won't be dissapointed.

kicker
i am a fan of music but not knowledgeable on the details of products. i can say that i am very happy with my purchase. i receive the sounds that i am looking for among rap, hip hop and r-n-b music. i have the recommended amplifier for this kicker as well and have not had any problems with either products.

Great sound.
I bought this before it went on sale for 50 bucks more but it's still well worth the money. I have it running off a kicker dx 500.1, gain set perfectly with a dd1 (gain is NOT a volume knob for those who have blown this sub). It's getting a clean 587w rms per the amp birth sheet and sounds loud and crystal clear on any music and has for 3 months now. I have zero complaints. It's paired up with a kicker dx 500.1, 2 dx 125.2 amps on a kinetic hc1200, 2 each of kicker 6x9, 6.5 and 4" speakers. Livin loud
