The word "Riddim" actually means something very similar to the obvious. Riddim is the Jamaican Patois pronunciation for the English word "Rhythm". However, there is a slight difference in the Reggae or Dance Hall crowd, as Riddim refers specifically to the instrumental accompaniment to a song. One might think to themselves "Riddim, Rhythm, same thing. But Rhythm is especially fun like all other words that don't follow the typical A, E, I, O, and U vowel rules" and though that is true, and fun, Riddim is about to become more relevant now than ever.
