Like the look of your factory radio, but wish it could do more? Car Show designed this Piranha Series multimedia receiver to fit perfectly in the dash of select 2006-up Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles, giving you touchscreen navigation, DVD movie playback, CD/MP3 playback, and Bluetooth connectivity. You can rock out to your favorite songs or files on disc, or you can hook up your iPhone or iPod for complete control and access to your playlists. You'll have front and rear USB inputs at your disposal, or you can just plug your music player in through the built-in front panel auxiliary input.
Car Show offers iGo Primo nav software, so you'll always be on the right path. You can navigate to specific addresses or any of the 11 million POI in all 50 states. The high-res 6.5" touchscreen display shows maps by TeleAtlas of the U.S. in easy-to-read detail, including 3D building and landmark views in many cities. Features like lane guidance and junction view help keep you on the right path during tricky maneuvers in unfamiliar territory.
This Piranha receiver also features reliable Bluetooth connectivity by Parrot. You can make and take calls without having to touch your compatible phone. You'll hear your caller over the car's speakers, while the built-in microphone picks up your voice. For added clarity in noisy vehicles, you can install the included external microphone in a convenient location. You can also stream music from your compatible mobile device to the Car Show receiver.
Car Show builds their systems to match up with your Chrysler vehicle's dash opening and wiring. The included wiring harnesses let you install the receiver without having to splice wires or modify your dash, plus you don't need an expensive adapter to keep your door chimes and turn signals. Car Show even includes an adapter to keep your Chrysler's steering wheel controls working with your new receiver (wire splicing required).
You can watch DVDs on the 6.5" screen while parked. You can also use the rear audio/video output to add back seat screens — then use the dual zone feature to let your passengers watch movies in back while you listen to music up front. If you've got a rear-view camera on board, hooking it up to this receiver is a great way to keep everyone safe.

CS-CR1210-US in 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sport
After reading the excellent review on another site, I began researching the Rosen Car Show Piranha CS-CR1210-US for my 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sport. I had the standard factory radio (RES) single CD with steering wheel controls.

I wanted something that looked factory, had Sirius/XM, Bluetooth, RDS, hands free phone, backup camera, worked with my steering wheel controls and was easy to install. I also did not want to pay $1000+ for this. This unit fit my needs very well.
I ordered it from Sonic Elextronix after calling them with a few questions. I wanted to make sure this was truly plug and play. Sonic was cheeper then other online retailers and I used my savings to purchase a Metra TE-THC backup camera. I also picked up the SXV200V1 Sirius XM Connect tuner at a local big box retailer. UPS delivery from Sonic was 4 days.
I spent the better part of an evening and morning for the install. No real problems, I just went real slow and wanted to get it right. The toughest part was the rear camera install. I ended up putting the camera in the trailer hitch cover because I did not want to remove the bumper.
The fit of the head unit is very tight and make sure you don’t pinch or cut any wires trying to get them all pushed up behind the radio.
Everything worked fine except the backup camera. My quick splice connector at the back up lights did not work with the very thin backup camera wires. I had to cut the wires and use a butt connector. Then all was fine.
The unit works and sounds great and is truly plug and play. It comes with the harness needed for the Sirius XM SXV200V1 and set up was easy. The steering wheel controls, volume, will switch radio presets, scan radio frequencies and let you switch on navigation. For some reason once in navigation, I can’t switch back out, with the steering wheel controls, although I can still change radio presets with the steering wheel controls while navigation is on.
My only concern is if I can update maps in the future. The web site Rosen sends you to wants you to download different installation software. My computers are Apple and it looks like their stuff is Windows only. I would be interested if someone has successfully updated their software from the web site Navieextras.com.
My install is only one day old but so far I am very happy with my purchase. This is a very nice, professional looking do it yourself install for someone who likes to tinker, but is not a professional.

Great headunit but could be improved.
I've had the unit installed for about 2 months now and I feel I now is a good time to share a review of the product. I installed it on a 13' Wrangler sport with a standard CD player (no bluetooth, no nav) The bad section is mostly nitpicking but I feel it should be mentioned.
Good =)
- Really simple install, everything went together fairly simple. Im a hobby mechanic at best and only really own a simple tool set.
- Fit is spot on and it looks OEM. Even the green illumination matches my Jeep (very close if it exact)
- Lots of potential to add more. eventually I want to add a rear view cam and maybe a small system.
- Navigation has worked very well so far. Music apps display artwork and function reasonably ok
- Steering wheels controls are included (mostly)
- Bluetooth calling works well even without the external mic installed
Bad =(
- Canada maps are NOT included. This is a extra $70 or so
- No album art or track info is displayed while playing through bluetooth. SD cards will have this feature.
- At times changing tracks can lag. This may be a limitation of the memory card im using but an issue all the same.
- Steering wheel track up/down does not work on 12+ Wranglers. You can skip tracks with the small middle button but unable to go back. luckily those buttons are also on the headunit.
- I have not had luck with video playback. tried maybe formats on a SD card but no luck (DVDs should work)
- making calls feels like it could be abit easier
- The UI just seems very clunky in general. There is very little customization and most menus leave something to be desired. Even just simply navigating to different menus can take some effort.
Like I said mostly nitpicking... no major issues though. For anyone wanting a clean OEM-like install that is also functional, im confident this is the unit for you. I've had several people look at it now and couldn't believe it didn't come with my Jeep. Other units may do more or even work slightly better but they don't look like they belong.
