The cornerstone of this unique component system is Precision Powers' Advanced Motion Tweeter, AMT for short and is an industry first for car audio. It is this unique transducer that extends your high frequency reproduction to over 40,000Hz and creates texture and presence while putting the emotion back into your listening experience.
ATM's lightweight pleated diaphragm moves side-to-side instead of the traditional backwards and forwards motion dramatically improving off axis performance. Neodymium rare earth bar magnets create a powerful driving motor structure in a compact size. The Adjustable Spin nut mounting system adapts to variable mounting thickness and let's you choose your prefered mounting location for simplified installation.
Natural fiber composite diaphragm - light for fast and accurate high frequency reproduction, yet bound with natural fiber for fast repercussive accuracy. Tangential ribs dampen unwanted cone resonance that can cause distortion and "color" what we hear.
Inverted Natural Butyl Rubber surround resists power compression and is consistent in wide ambient temperatures that changes the performance at varying volume levels.
Painstakingly engineered, the P.65C3 crossover features the highest quality components to create the purest signal path possible for seamless, phase coherent blending of the speaker component so you can enjoy the purest audio reproduction possible in an automotive application. To enhance installation flexibility, two user selectable circuits are included to tailor the frequency response for non ideal mounting locations.
Priced Per Complete Component System: 2 woofers, 2 midwoofers, 2 tweeters and 2 crossover networks.

Good 3 way component for the price
I'm addicted to 3 way component sets, now when I listen to 2 ways it just seems like something's missing, even high end ones. I've had these installed for about a month now. The woofers are in the door, with deadening, and the mid and high in a custom a pillar I built. I am currently only running them off my head unit so I can't say yet how they sound at or near full volume. The woofer I really like, midbass is impressive. The mid is good, it does its job well. The high is a little weird and took some getting used to and I can't really say I'm sold on it yet. I would recommend you listen to this or at least this type of tweeter to make sure it fits your taste. For the price I recommend this set only if you’re ok with how the tweeter sounds. I’m certainly not saying anything bad about the tweeter it’s just a little bit different then I’m used to. Keep in mind all installs are different and no two ears are the exact same, there are a lot of factors that influence sound quality. I listen to all types of music and these speakers handle it all well. The tweeter seems to be missing some of the "symbol crash/glass breaking" clarity, as I'm going to call it, and can be a little bright at times. I had to modify my EQ a little bit in the tweeter range which helped some. I am normally adamant about using a flat EQ, I like my music reproduced accurately and un-modified as the musician intended it to sound. It’s just different then the silk dome tweeters I’m used to. I previously had a JL 3 way component set that that I fell in love with, it really set the bar for me. My next stereo will have the JL 3 way or a Hertz 3 way but these are at least twice the money which I couldn't do on this build. It’s really hard to compete in sound quality with JL and Hertz but this set comes close and is a great value for the price.

Fantastic sounding speakers with a great power handling ability. Takes a little work to find best placement for the mid if you don’t already have a setup for 6 speakers but it’s completely worth it! Very crisp highs, very clean mids and a surprisingly great kick from the mid-bass. They say it's stable to 20 Hz but I have mine crossed at 63 and they are rocking!

I have purchased these speakers to replace stock speakers on my vw cc. Speakers arrived pretty fast and installation with appropriate hardware was straight forward. When i purchased these i didn't find a lot of reviews, but when i got and installed them i did not regret about sound quality. These are good speakers for the price. You can always find something better for more money but these perfectly meet my need. Very happy!

I purchased these components to place in my Subaru BRZ which has factory placement for the door, mid, and tweeters while only using 2 channels off the amp. These took some very simple adapters that I made to go in the factory locations. I am driving them with a RF Punch P400X4 using the supplied passive crossovers. Speaking of the crossovers they are much bigger than expected, so be sure to check the measurements! The speakers are very "alive" and bright sounding with phenomenal clarity. My biggest issue is that if I cross them below 125hz I get a horrific "popping" when near maximum volume with R&B, rap, or similar music with predominant "kick drum" . I confirmed that the popping wasn't due to my amp clipping either. I was disappointed because I am pushing very conservative RMS wattage. They sound terrific but due to the high crossover, you will really want to make sure you have a dedicated subwoofer otherwise the music will sound really empty. Overall I have tuned my system to be able to achieve maximum volume without the popping, but I would have hoped to crossed a little lower for fuller sound. Am I happy with them, yes. Would I have wanted a dedicated 6.5" door speaker to handle a little more on the lower spectrum response? Yes. I would recommend these speakers to someone willing to tinker with settings, otherwise you will may be bummed at the lack of low end response or worse yet, blown speakers.

this system went above and beyond my expectations.when i first installed they were kinda dull,i went with them for a week, letting them break in.then i went into the crossover and switched the tweeter setting, whooaa.these things came to life.just swapping the setting made these things so much clearer.even though the amt tweeter takes some getting used to,they sound life like.i did get some woofer pop when first installed, set my crossover on my amp to highpass and adjusted down till it went away, for 3 weeks now i have been able to drop the frequancy lower.takes some time to break these in but it is so well worth it.i have owned plenty of great speakers in the past, but never heard anything like this.every day i notice different things in songs i have listened to for 30+ years.couldnt imagine a better setup.these are simply the best.

This 3 way set is very nice. I have the signal cut at 63 hrtz and they still have great low range response. The mid driver is very effective and keeps everything very crisp and bright. The amt tweeter is amazingly detailed you do have to mess with the xover setting and your eq to dial it in. Overall very please and will buy another set or 2. I'm giving them 240 watts rms total with no problems. I will be replacing my re audio xxx 6.5 set with another set of these.

I purchased this set of components about a year ago. After the initial install, in a 96 Dodge Quad Cab Diesel, I soon experienced the "popping" sound many others have written about. I immediately changed the crossover point in my head unit and the Popping went away. I crossed them at 150 Hz. It was like listening to a 4 inch coax after that so needless to say, I was disappointed. It wasnt long after that the 6.5 inch driver failed all together. I am powering this set with PPI P900.4. I replaced them with Dayton Audio 6.5 inch drivers and the difference is amazing! No popping, lower frequency and they have lasted much longer. Several weeks ago, the 3 inch mid failed. This has been the worst component set Ive ever owned and I will not ever purchase another set. Ive contacted PPI but they will not warranty them because they were sold through a 3rd party (Car Stereo Giant who is now out of business and wont honor the warranty) on Ebay. I will replace the 3 inch with another Dayton Audio Product. Sound wuality is much better and they can actually handle the amplifier's abilities.

Older car audio guys like myself remember a time when PPI was one of THE brands for serious sound. Over time they got bought out and things changed for the worst, but the good news is they changed hands again and the parent company is trying to rebuild the name.
These components sets are a major step towards that goal. Running them passive in my Rx-7 off an oldschool Eclipse 4ch sounds great. Tweet pods on the A-pillar almost on axis, midranges just a few inches below that, and midbass in custom door panels. The AMT tweeters were a bit strong so I'm running the -3db jumper on the passive crossovers. The midrange is clear and accurate with very little coloring. The midbass is great, however my doors are fully deadened+mlv+ccf and I'm sure that is helping keep the majority of the sound in the cabin while killing internal reflections.
I would highly recommend these to someone looking to try a 3way front stage in a well thought out install. I cannot comment on how they would sound as replacements for a factory 3way setup, as I have no experience with that. Now I'm shopping for a second amp and a DSP to go full active up front and really get this set dialed in.
I am not a fan of the grills and gaskets from the kit, they just don't look very clean to me, so I ended up making my own that tied into the car's interior. Another complaint I have is the lack of information in the box for things like the crossover points and slopes of the passive and the T/S parameters for each driver.

I love these speakers. I actually use them in my home stereo towers, amped at around 100-200wrms per channel, with a rackmount amplifier. They sound fantastic, if they're properly crossed (I don't recommend running them below 50hz, personally). I have a rack crossover (24dba/octave) separating them and the dual 12" woofers without any issue... And man.... Do they open up around 100wrms (combined - wall draw from the amp is only around 125w). They just sing
I thought I'd love them in my vehicle as well. Well, I was incorrect. Installing in them in a Mercedes E250, W212, they just don't fit... After making custom baffles, there's just no way to make the large crossover fit well with the aluminum cover on... And, after ensuring all 6 cones work outside the vehicle... The mid-woofers (2.5" mids) simply will not work... I've checked for shorts, used rubber baffles etc. The mids work fine with the battery test, even in the car, but they don't move at all when powered by the Xover. I'm assuming the Xover, due to it's MASSIVE size, makes a connection fail.
Running them without the mid-woofer, even at 50% volume, both front channels fail eventually (15-20m - in the -10c winter too, not a heat issue). I have no such issues with Infinity Reference rears. I'm assuming I'm hitting OCP on the amp. Perhaps due to 4ohms, but again, no issue with 4ohm infinities.
This may have something to do with the default crossovers set by the MB amp, but alas, I'm not willing to purchase an optical Canbus decoder > New head unit with RCA output. I was hoping to tap into the current wiring (it's at least 16g) to get at least 3-4dba more for the same input power due to sensitivity and location differences.
I'll eventually be amping the set, but the car is a real PITA to run new cabling into the door... So...
Also, The AMT tweeters did die after being driven at proper gains (lets say, 75wrms each channel) after about 2 years... There is NO support from the company. Similar AMT tweeters are easily to source, however.
YMMV
Still, 5 stars. LOVE the damn things. SO glad to have a spare set, but like... Not for a MB W212 (Any E class from 2014-2018 with stock amplification, IIRC)... I'm not a Benz guy, so again, grain of salt please.
