Every audio experience (music, movies, video gaming, etc.) is better with better sound. If you're not sure what we mean by "better" sound all you have to do is listen to your current earbuds or headphones, then plug in a pair of Paradigm headphones. The difference is audible. Paradigm's SHIFT series products are the result of thirty years of sound research and product development. Their sound quality is the result of pure scientific data and extensive critical listening on the part of Paradigm. Each one is tuned to sound like their award-winning high-end loudspeakers. What you hear when you plug in with Paradigm SHIFT series is exactly what you should hear ... a faithful reproduction of the original source, no different than if you were listening to a Paradigm loudspeaker. If you're listening to a live concert recording, your SHIFT headphones will make it feel "live."
Paradigm's unique understanding of what makes a speaker sound magical in a listening room is applied to the design of their in-ear headphones. Paradigm uses sophisticated measurement tools and proprietary algorithms while accounting for the psycho-acoustic effects of the ear structure in developing their design. This allowed them to faithfully reproduce the performance of their freestanding loudspeakers in an in-ear headphone.

I really have no other in ear headphones to compare these to other than the cheap ones and a pair of beats that came with my HTC phone a while back. In all honesty, I don't notice anything about the cheapies or beats that sets them apart. Well, ok... the cheap ones are crap and the beats are better. But, I'm happier with these. They are comfortable in my ear, even if I'm lying on my side on a pillow. The cord material is great and the Paradigm sound, well... good. Finally, headphones that do As they should. They are clean sounding with just the right amount of bass. Feel of a higher quality than the rest. Would I buy them again? Yes. I do wish there was a volume button on the mic and phone answer button, but it's ok as those can be quite problematic at failing and introducing static and failing. Best of luck. For the price, I'd give these a try before I shelled out the big dollars for that other supposed high end headphone company. Did I mention that even at very high volume the music image stays intact so long as you don't overdo the volume equalization combination. Oh, checkout the ohms on these. Chances are they will play louder by your amplifier compared to those at 32 ohms. Also, Paradigm are the makers of some of the finest home audio speakers. Doubt they'd risk that reputation on those high dollar speakers just to move some crap earbuds. Just my 2 cents. Get a pair and give your own.
