The MKi9100 is delivered with a music cable specifically designed to adapt to any sort of digital and analog music player. This includes an iPod/ iPhone connector, a USB connector to plug any USB MP3 player and a Line-In input for analogue sources. MKi will also connect to any Bluetooth Stereo (A2DP) source, such as a MP3 player, musicphone, smartphones, PDAs, etc. All music files are played back on the car’s speakers (front and back) while the MKi built-in digital amplifier transforms your car into a true concert hall! |

The MKi automatically synchronize the names and phone numbers in your mobile with their phonebooks and update theirs phonebooks each time a new entry is detected. To access your phonebook and make a call, simply press the green button to start the user-independent voice recognition: the MKi recognize your voice and the name you are saying without any prior teaching process. You can also directly access the phonebook and browse all the names thanks to the voice synthesis (Text To Speech). Parrot has really made this simple. To follow on your conversation in a discrete mode, switch instantaneously the communication towards your Bluetooth headset or your mobile phone. |
The MKi series offer the widest compatibility with existing and future Bluetooth mobile phones, thanks to its full compatibility with the Bluetooth wireless communication protocol. The software of the MKi is upgradeable for free at any time from the parrot web site. And to benefit a higher integration in the vehicle, MKi can be interfaced with an optional module, the Parrot UNIKA. This uses the existing steering wheel mounted commands to control your Parrot Bluetooth hands-free car kit. There is no additional visible part to install, it only uses the existing car’s steering wheel control buttons. You keep controlling the car radio from the steering wheel and if the steering wheel doesn’t have enough buttons, the Parrot UNIKA uses a specific combination of buttons to compensate for the missing ones.

Axxess BT-7550
Good product for bluetooth add on kits. Only problem is there is SOOOOO much wire to try and hide behind the dash. Also the connectors are very big too. I installed this harness along with the Parrot MKI9200 in my girlfriends 2006 Nissan Murano. It was very difficult to find a place to put the harness because of how much wire there is. Overall, a good product for plug and play. If I did it all over again I would have soldered my connections

Convenience, value and decent audio quality.
I would recommend to the value conscious DIYers who wants to keep existing car audio, but want to add Bluetooth telephony and audio.
You can set up in different ways, but I choose to use built-in amplifier which is less powerful than my car audio. The quality of audio over Bluetooth is very decent, but probably not for audiophiles. I haven't tried built-in voice-recognition, but I can activate voice-recognition on my smart phone by pressing call button on the remote. Voice quality is good and loud enough. During hwy driving, however, voice-recognition was struggling though conversation was not an issue. The wireless remote is very convenient though hope it was bit more responsive.
I purchased a wiring harness for my car from another shop which simplified installation a lot. Experience may vary depending on the model of your car.
All in all, very decent product.

Parrot
Overall I am very pleased with the Parrot MKi9100. My only issue is the LCD display being very difficult to see in any kind of sunlight even with the brightness turned all the way up. Technically you don't need to SEE the display to use its functionality so I suppose it's not an issue. Other than that, it's AWESOME! Wireless remote, Bluetooth calls & streaming audio! Wired aux/iPod inputs come in handy too! I get in the car and my iphone connect automatically. If I start the ipod it streams automatically, same with Pandora/Sirius XM/iHeartRadio
