quite the surprise
When I decide I want to purchase an item, I do lots and lots of research before deciding what to get. I did the same for my newest audio system. I'll admit, I second guessed my decision many time before actually ordering this subwoofer but I am so glad I went with my decision. the box is 5/8", built like a monster and looks awesome! now on to the more important part- the sound quality. I have only continued to be impressed with how well this subwoofer handles low frequencies! it might only be hitting 88 dB, which is lower than some other 12" subs, but its hitting 88 dB on frequencies I didnt even know were there. On top of that, even though its in a ported box, the sound quality is better than several sealed subwoofers I've had in the past. All in all for the price you will not find a better loaded subwoofer. I highly recommend this if you enjoy annoying people at stop lights and want a cheap loaded enclosure. Once again, polk audio fails to disappoint!

Good Sounding Compact Sub!
I needed more space in my trunk so I decided to downgrade to get more space but I didn't want to sacrifice and lose all my bass. To be honest I didn't expect much coming from 2 12s before. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the good punch this 1 12 supplied and more so the sound quality of this sub. I would definitely recommend this sub to anyone looking for a reasonable compact sub that will provide sufficient bump on a daily basis.

Very clean
This sub has great sound and it hits really low frequencies with relatively low power needed to run it. 150-250 watts is plenty. The box is really nice too. I would buy another one.

Got it today
Between this and JBL.......
Hooked up in the garage and have to watch the volume.
I liked the looks a bit better and spec's also, have done sound in local clubs and gigging for over 12 + yrs as far as pro always loved JBL but what swayed me the most was what I said above.Have Polk for my surround system and very happy. Hooked up to a crunch 2000.1 and I was very happy with the sound and build not bling'y like the other.
and a thanks to Sonic shipping was right on time !

JUNK
Stay away - this is junk. I powered this with a 300 watt amp. It lasted approx 4 hours of play time & then 1 of the voice coils shorted out & caused a "dead short" which took out my amp.
I have been installing "systems" since the 90's and never had this happen before. I should have known the price was "too good".
Things that go BOOM..
It looks good and sounds good and only costs $99, what more do you want..
Hits low low no problemo, bass guitar and kick drum really shines..
