For over two decades, AudioControl has been designing and manufacturing award-winning autosound products at our factory located in the rainforests of the Pacific Northwest. During this period, countless sound-off winning contestants have chosen AudioControl products to give them the competitive edge. “Can you really win without AudioControl”, was part of an article written commenting on competition winning systems. Nothing sounds better than an awesome recording played back on a kickbutt system. Unfortunately, the acoustics of your vehicle can take away from your systems performance. While AudioControl products do not change the laws of physics (although they act like they do), autosound enthusiasts have long known that AudioControl products “make good stereo sound better”

Audio enthusiasts can now rejoice with the introduction of AudioControl’s LCQ-1, a powerful six-channel signal processor that provides a gateway between factory installed source units and after-market amplifiers. The LCQ-1 allows Mobile Electronics enthusiasts to easily “tune” their audio systems and receive truly amazing sound quality. An ideal combination of discrete equalization controls combined with AudioControl’s unique OEM integration circuitry, the LCQ-1 maximizes the performance of factory installed audio systems. Enthusiasts, who want amazing audio performance that only comes from custom-tuned audio systems, will truly enjoy the LCQ-1.
Basic, inexpensive, passive line output converters generally deliver poor sound quality and diminishing bass response. The active circuitry used in the LCQ-1 provides dramatically better sound quality and enhances the bass response. No longer will audio enthusiasts have to compromise when performing basic amplifier additions to factory installed audio systems. Enthusiasts looking for great sound will really love this product.
Designed for maximum sound quality and enhanced audio performance, the LCQ-1 is the latest AudioControl processor to incorporate AccuBASS™. This patent pending process automatically corrects for the bass roll-off that is common with many factory-installed audio systems. AudioControl engineers designed the LCQ-1 to be a very high-value processor, so subsequently it is equipped with a number of installer friendly features that simplify the OEM connection and calibration process.
If you are like many people who like the look and features of their factory-installed source unit, but feel your system overall is lacking power and bass, we have good news. The LCQ-1 has high-impedance speakerlevel inputs that allow it to accept amplified signals (up to 400 watts per channel) from most factory-installed source units (even Bose) and output a high-quality pre-amp signal via standard RCA connectors. This will allow you to add better-quality amplifiers, processors and speakers while keeping the convenience features of your factory-installed source unit. Unlike inexpensive speaker-level and line-output converters available, the LCQ-1 offers high sound quality.
A set of auxiliary RCA inputs connects the audio signal of an iPod or other stereo source into the system through the LC8i. Tapping the included LC8i remote knob will change from Main input to the Aux inputs and tapping again will change the knob function from subwoofer level control to auxiliary volume control.
Most factory-installed source units lack the features that make it easy to upgrade with really good-sounding, performance aftermarket products. One of those key features is a 12-volt trigger that will turn on devices like the LC8i and your external amplifiers. Therefore, we have equipped your LC8i with our unique GTO™ (Great Turn On) signal-sensing inputs. Once the GTO input of your LC8i detects a speaker-level signal on the Main Inputs, it powers up. When the speaker-level signal goes away, your LC8i will automatically turn-off. Optionally, your LC8i is also equipped with a standard 12-volt trigger (Remote In) that will allow you to turn on your LC8i in the traditional manner.
The LC8i has the capability to combine together multiple (2, 4, 6, or 8) input signals from the factory source unit into 2 channels. This is page particularly handy when using the LC8i with a factory system that has multiple, actively crossed over signals being sent from an OEM source unit or amplifier(s). For example, in some vehicles there is an actively crossed over tweeter, midrange, and woofer all in the front of the vehicle. The LC8i lets you take all of those signals and sum them together to get a high quality, full range, pre-amp signal without the use of any additional cables or hardware.
Sometimes in life (and car audio) we need more outputs than inputs. Therefore we have equipped your LC6i with AutoMode inputs that take the Channel 2 signal and automatically feeds it to the Channel 3 outputs, provided there is no signal present on the Channel 3 inputs. This means your LC6i will accept two input channels and give you four output channels. Or it can accept four input channels and give you six output channels.

AudioControl LCQ-1
Purchased this to let me keep the MyGig HU in my 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. It works for its intended purpose, but adds a measureable amount of noise to the system which is unfortunate and unexpected considering the cost of the unit and AudioControl's reputation. It works but I consider it the weakest component in my system of Polk MM series speakers all around, Apline PDX F4 for fronts and rears and old school Rockford Fosgate Punch 150 (original design - not HD) for the sub.

Best Car Audio Product in Years
I am quite pleased with this product. I put it in a 2013 Elantra with the navigation and built in amp. It worked great. I just placed it in line between the stock amp and the speakers. I left the tweeters alone, my 5 channel would have blown them, and have it running running to my amp, then to the stock internals and a 10' W3. I could not be happier.
The car lowers the volume to the rear speakers and speaks the navigation voice comes on through the fronts. I was worried this would for some reason cause a problem but it was fine. I was also worried that the car had the bass roll-off, but it did not. I cut the wires between the stock amp and the speakers, ran extension wires to this unit for the front and rear speakers wires coming out of the stock amp, bridged the audio (using this product) from the rear speakers to the sub channel, then ran the RCAs to the 5 channel amp for both the front, rear, and subs, wired the sub in the box, ran speaker wires from the amp output 4 channels back to the respective stock speaker wires that I cut originally. Then I played with the setting until I got them sound perfect.
I was really intimidated (brand new car and all) and I have been putting systems in cars for the last 12 years.
Just for God's sake... Label both sides of every wire (in between where you cut and on each end of your extension wires) or you will have an overwhelming mess on your hands!

Excellent results
Installed in 2012 silverado. Chevy known for poor factory head unit signal. This was a must have! Easy to install no issues. Corrected the frequency response specificlly with the bass rollover. Sounds like I installed a New head unit. EQ a nice feature front, rear and sub.

Looks good in the box...
The AudioControl LCQ-1 is, conceptually, the best of both worlds (the LC6i meets the EQS). Unfortunately, the results were not up to par. Well, at least they would have been if we could've gotten the thing to work properly (the units kept popping at crackling at any volume level). We went through three LCQ-1's before we got one that finally worked. The sound was great, except that two days into it, the unit started to produce a high-pitch whine from the rear driver's side tweeter. We swapped back in the LC6i to make sure it wasn't the amp or tweeter, and the noise went away.
This unit may work for some folks, and perhaps I received a batch of bad LCQ-1"s, but I cannot recommend this product or brand to others. Since my batch of malfunctioning LCQ-1's, I have stepped up to the Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.3 and couldn't be happier.
